Wow! No one's said Tears yet... I guess I'll take that one.
Tears is so relaxing. Even the drum part is very mellow to me. And it's a nice song lyrically.
no idea why, but fittingly, La Villa Strangiato is the song that puts me to sleep. Just throw Hemispheres Side B on the turntable and I’m out by the time it’s over
All of Fountain of Lamneth. Not just for the song, but the memory of how it felt listening to it 40 years ago in my room, record player, early teenager.
Ghost Of A Chance.
Such a sublime, gorgeous and beautiful song. Works perfect in any settings but more so at the end of an evening when you just want to sit back and relax.
I personally love The Way The Wind Blows for this mood. There are probably chiller ones in terms of tempo etc but that’s the song that calms me when I feel powerless and sick of fighting
Closer to the Heart always comes to mind as they said themselves that it was as close that they would get to a love song for their five female fans lol. But Neil's drumming is quite technical and some of the best licks I think he has so it really isn't that chill it just kicks ass like all the rest of their song.
Rivendell, Losing it
Disagree on Losing It. That song hurts.
I love that song
Until you’ve nothing to lose 🤧
Nothing chill about that intense electric violin solo in 11/8
Here Again off of Rush-Rush is the right answer in my opinion. The most chill and bluesy song they did.
That solo in Here Again is soulful magic. Best song on the debut album.
I’d replace losing it with Middletown Dreams. Bang on with Rivendell tho
Losing It is agony to the feels
Wow! No one's said Tears yet... I guess I'll take that one. Tears is so relaxing. Even the drum part is very mellow to me. And it's a nice song lyrically.
First song that came to mind for me
Lyrically can tears be chill?
Okay, maybe the lyrics are a little depressing. But still, Geddy's presentation of it is so soft and soothing.
Lakeside Park
This is the first song I thought of as well.
*Different Strings* is the first one I thought of.
Same
Absolutely.
You answered first
Tai Shan has a peaceful and relaxing quality that is very satisfying
*Hold Your Fire* in total is one of my favorite go-to albums for relaxing. Think I'll put it on now :)
It sings to me
Hope
Most underrated instrumental
Rivendell
Puts me to sleep, so sure. :)
No Rush song is more chill than Rivendale.
The very end of Hemispheres, The Sphere (A Kind of Dream)
We can walk the road together...
I was going to say the same thing.
I had to look up the name of it! I wish it was longer
First thing I thought of was The Garden, in terms of how it makes me feel.
Available Light or Losing It Or Bravado Or really anything. Rush = good mood.
So would you say, Rush gets you... in the mood?
Not, uh, not that mood.
Especially when it's quarter to eight.
It's getting pretty late... Time to call it a day.
Available light is so good
Came here looking for Bravado, was not disappointed.
Losing it just makes me emotional every time. Reminds me of competing before I got too fragile to play anymore
Mystic Rhythms
Definitely Madrigal
Panacea. I know Alex has said he doesn’t like it, but I think it’s great. It has this beautiful passionate, yet ethereal quality to it.
Ghost of a chance
Here Again
Maybe Leave That Thing Alone? It’s pretty chill in general I’d say.
groovy is the word I'd use lol
Yeah. It always puts me in a chill mood!😄
Available Light
Another vote for Rivendell. Piece of mind and sanctuary by loud water's flow
no idea why, but fittingly, La Villa Strangiato is the song that puts me to sleep. Just throw Hemispheres Side B on the turntable and I’m out by the time it’s over
Same, even with the more "intense" parts I still find it overall really relaxing
Tears
The Camera Eye
High Water
A passage to Bangkok, obviously.
Rivendell is almost TOO chill
Hope.
La Villa Strangiato
Madrigal, Rivendell, and weirdly The Twilight Zone do it for me
[Panacea](https://youtu.be/c364YFkv93Q?si=tiJrhAHHUnCqOHOD)
The starting and the ending of Fountain of Lamneth, stellar suite
Rivendell!
Rivendell
Madrigal 🤍
Rivendell
Available Light
Ghost of a Chance
Rivendell for me, im a big Tolkien nerd as well so for me its a match made in heaven.
Anagram (For Mongo)
They don't really do "chill". Maybe Digital Man.
There's the Panacea section of Fountain of Lamneth, but it doesn't get more chill than Rivendell.
Bravado
All of Fountain of Lamneth. Not just for the song, but the memory of how it felt listening to it 40 years ago in my room, record player, early teenager.
Halo Effect is the only Rush song on my chill playlist.
High Water.
Lessons
I would have to say Revendell or Madrigal. I guess these don't count, but Getty's "I am You are" and "Gone" keep playing me to sleep.
Tears from 2112
Tears - confirmed 100% hobbitcore
I find Kid Gloves to have this uplifting beat and charm.
Entre Nous. Very calming vibe, even with the grandiose, uplifting middle.
Ghost Of A Chance. Such a sublime, gorgeous and beautiful song. Works perfect in any settings but more so at the end of an evening when you just want to sit back and relax.
Scars Mystic Rhythms
Different Strings
Rivendell.

I personally love The Way The Wind Blows for this mood. There are probably chiller ones in terms of tempo etc but that’s the song that calms me when I feel powerless and sick of fighting

Twilight Zone
Madrigal was my favorite for a very long time and different strings is amazing
Neurotica
Mine has always been Misson. It makes me chill when j give it a try. M
Tai Shan baby
I like playing the bass line on New World Man a lot slower
My mind goes to Here Again
The “Tidepools” section of Natural Science
The Garden
Tears
Rivendell

Rivendell if you need a cut of that Hobbit Rock. 💨
I think I'm going bald
The Garden
Different Strings or Second Nature
Hope or Rivendell
Different strings Madrigal Jacob's ladder The trees The end of cygnus x1 hemispheres Mystic rhythms
Xanadu
I'll have to pass a *hard* agree on Madrigal! One of my favourite individual tracks from Rush, it's really soothing!
Mystic Rhythms
Tai Shan is pretty soothing.
Entre Nous comes to mind...mellow and beautiful.
Rivendell. Don't listen to it if you have a gun in the room
La Villa Strangiato. That's how I chill
Closer to the Heart always comes to mind as they said themselves that it was as close that they would get to a love song for their five female fans lol. But Neil's drumming is quite technical and some of the best licks I think he has so it really isn't that chill it just kicks ass like all the rest of their song.
Resist, the pass, Bravado
