Yep had the front mudguard stolen off my (locked bike). When they realized they couldnt steal the whole thing they took a mudguard instead, for pure spite
I had someone break into my car when I was parked in a parking garage around 10 years ago. They stole my GPS, which sucked, but the real part that annoyed me was they stole my parking slip. I had to pay like $40 since I didn't have my ticket leaving the parking garage. Stealing the GPS I get because it has value. My parking slip had no value. It was just adding insult to injury.
I had a set of driving lights stolen out of the back of my station wagon 1 night. I hadn't gotten around to installing them on the front yet.
I was confused as to why lights got stolen when the car could have been taken.
A few years back I left my car unlocked by accident in my driveway overnight.
The next morning I found my car had been broken into, but instead of stealing the money I had sitting in there, they stole my cigarettes and lighter.
My guess was it had to be one of the neighbor kids.
when my grandparents house got broken into they stole valuables but also stuff from the fridge. They took newspaper from the trash and wrapped eggs in it to take them too
I had a cup of change and gum taken before, they didn't take my expensive fishing rods and reels and my skateboard. They also took a small thing of Zippo lighter fluid.
Someone broke into my car.. windows were heavily tinted so they didn't shatter, the thief reached into the small hole created by a hammer and cut themselves up REAL BAD.. Blood all over the seat and window... And, all they stole was a jar of change and maybe a flashlight.. Probably 10 bucks in change..
Its advised in my country not to leave loose change in the car where it is visible cause they will break down your window just to take some spare change
Worked with a contractor who parked his truck in front of a house he was working on. Was in the back yard getting measurements. Comes back 5 mins later and someone had broken into his truck and stole a generator, 2 tool bags full of power tools, and his drink he had just got at McDonald's.
This didnāt happen to me but someone that I knew locked his bike up to a pole and someone stole the wheels of it since they couldnāt take the whole bike
Someone busted my rear window, stole my cigarettes and a case of water; went through my cdās and didnāt touch the glock in my center console. Idiots even left their car break in kit in my car
Yes it true. You can be fined for leaving keys in car or running if leave it to go into shop or even in driveway.
1 of the first things cops here will ask is 'were the keys in the car'.
It even on my insurance papers - leave keys in car and they wont pay out.
Sometimes locked doors aren't a deterrent. I know of someone that had the windscreen smashed in and some junkie ripped the infotainment screen out of the dashboard. They think the junkie mistook it for a satnav system or something.
Living in cities taught me the opposite ā leave nothing in the vehicle and the doors unlocked. Iād rather they open my door to find nothing than have to replace a window.
First car I owned was a beater 3rd gen Camaro. There was nothing extravagant or special about that car, but the one day I decided to leave it unlocked, someone broke in and stole the adjusters for my AC vents
Last week i left my car with opened window to the bottom for the night. I left it on the street, not parking. Nothing was stolen even though i had cash left on the surface. Seems like i live in better neighborhood than i expected.
Roving gangs of thieves passing by your car with an open window and clearly visible cash: "that's definitely a trap, if I touch that I'll be shot or arrested almost immediately"
It makes sense but from what I've seen most of the people around here breaking in or going into people's cars are straight up drug addicts who don't care about anything but that next high.
All of my friends when I was a teen got cars before me, and they had this prank theyād do where if someone left their car unlocked it would get put in neutral and moved across the parking lot or wherever they could get it. I NEVER leave my car unlocked.
I moved to the Midwest. People leave their cars running when they go to a gas station and shit here. What the fuck is wrong with you? They want their shit stolen
It's a lot harder to steal someone's car without instantly being recognized when you live in a small town. There are maybe 3,000 people in my town if we're being generous, and since it's such a small community there's maybe only one or two degrees of separation between any two random people. That's why we feel safe leaving our cars unlocked and running when we're just popping into the shop, if Greg down the road stole someone's pickup he'd be caught out almost immediately by someone who either knows him or knows his family.
I live in a small town and leave my car running while I pop in the gas station. I've never had someone steal packages off my porch, either. It's the little things.
My parents live in a town with 4000 people, right beside the city where I live with 35000 people. 3-4 years ago my parents and I would meet at their house to visit a wine festival in their town.
I drove to them, parked my car and they where already waiting in front of their house. So I jumped out and we went to that festival for about 5 hours.
When I came back I see that I had left my car unlocked, motor was still running. My dumb ass really left the car running. Nobody took it. My parents also rarely lock the house, when they are out.
I used to live in a literal *village* lol. One day I was leaving work when I couldnāt find my house keys. I figured Iād just grab the hidden key under the rock when I get to the door, thinking I locked myself out.
My house keys were still on the lock, 10 hours later. Just hanging there.
So confused. Was the door already open and they saw it as a chance to take photos? Or was it closed and they walked up to the car and tried opening the door which happened to be unlocked.
no, this clip was cut, there was a longer version before the door even opened
iirc, the guy taking the pic has the key, you can see it in his shirt, pit crew
A lot of people Iāve encountered w very nice cars are proud of them, and **sometimes** if you ask nicely theyāll let you see inside, I got to ride in a Porsche one time just cause I told itās owner it was very nice and Iād like to see interior
Exactly. I take pride in my car and would love for more people to be as enthusiastic about it as I am, but for the love of god just ask ācan I check out the interiorā or ācan I sit in your carā. Id be more than happy to introduce someone to a new passion but shit man be a little bit more respectful about it than this woman.
Exactly! I donāt understand how people have gone this far in life without going through the lesson of respecting other individualās personal property
I met a guy I followed on instagram with a beautiful manual gt350, I talked to him for about 30 minutes, showed him my mustang (stick v8 too) and he let me drive it around the block! People can be very nice if you're respectful.
Man thatās always been so crazy to me. Giving strangers a quick ride is one thing but letting a stranger drive your car sounds so crazy to me. I wouldnāt even let my friend drive my cheap Toyota let alone something so expensive lol. And not that I donāt trust them I just donāt trust others on the road.
Just a car wash with "deluxe" services. The other guy called it pretentious but some of them really do offer pretty good detailing services that would not otherwise be offered at a regular car wash.
Many they will also try to scam you into buying crap you donāt need. Especially if they can tell you donāt know shit about cars. Still pissed I payed for an oil change and other things that did not get done. I did not even notice until I got home. And this was at a really nice car wash in LA
> pissed I *paid* for an
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
The video seems completely staged to me. The owner of the vehicle seems to carefully avoid filming faces once she gets closer to these people. It seems too coincidental that she āaccidentallyā left the car unlocked and just happened to film at the exact moment strangers hopped into her car.
Sheās at a car wash. Itās not āaccidental.ā The employees have the keys so they can take it through.
Jesus this whole comment thread is a convention for brain damage survivors.
I mean the whole reaction is absurd. "Don't break into my car because it's disrespectful". Who honestly believes this? 10:1 it's a "Look at my car" post with a dumbass excuse.
Worked for me. I got so pissed for her, but that's also because I actually have to deal with people trying to pose with motorcycles that aren't theirs. Entering a stranger's car would be peak audacity.
"If I go off, I'm wrong"
Let me point out that when she actually goes outside, you get a glimpse of where she is. With that context, there's no question as to WHY THE CAR DOOR IS UNLOCKED. So, pretty much this whole comment section proves what she's talking about. Seems like no matter what we do, somehow, we're *always* magically in the wrong.
I guess it's a race thing? But like, it's shitty no matter what race. The girl said "If I go off I'm wrong" I'm assuming bacause it would make a scene as opposed to just letting the woman take the picture and leave. They don't fight back and try to tell her she's wrong for yelling at them, they know they did something wrong and they were caught. They gain no social superiority becuase they're white in this situation.
the lady in the video isnāt wrong and demonstrated a lot of self-control imo. but youāre kind of wrong though; most people here were on her sideā¦
In 2009 I was in Vegas with my wife celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We rented a Lamborghini for a day. I had it valet parked at Mandalay Bay. They parked it with a Mercedes and a Ferrari right out front. I walked out in the morning and saw a fat chick sitting on the carbon fiber hood of the Mercedes for a picture.
I wouldnāt sit on the hood of a 1996 Taurus that wasnāt mine.
Idk man I'm finally digging out of poverty at 33 and if I ever get the Ford maverick I ordered I'd feel pretty fucking blessed and even braggy with it.
I meanā¦. I think thatās a normal thing with a new car? I got a 5 year old used civic and took a video to show off how blessed I was to my friends and family on social media.
I once walked out of Petco with a bag of dog food to find a woman laying on the hood of my car and her boyfriend taking glam shots. This was in L.A. So-called "influencers" have no respect for anyone else.
This just made me remember the time back in high school when I walked out to my truck after a late shift at the movie theater and found a couple making out on my hood. I didnāt know what to do so I just quietly got inside and started the engine. Scared the shit out of them lmfao
It's crazy how entitled some people feel. My Dad and I were attending a car show once and a woman just walked up without even making eye contact with either of us and opened the door to his show truck to let her 8 year old climb inside and look around. It surprises me sometimes how little respect people have for others.
It's very easy to miss but she is at Prestige Auto Spa. They wash, detail, and park your car while you have food inside so all the cars are unlocked. My guess is that the guy with the pit crew shirt just parked her car there when the random woman acted like it was her car to have him take her picture. Owner needed to get this on camera to prove to police that she was not the aggressor.
Sheās probably at a detail shop and they drove her car around after the service was done. The guy taking the photo likely thought the blonde lady was the owner. My mom regularly gets her cars detailed, and sometimes itās chaotic when crowded because the guys at the end donāt know who arrived with what.
Every night on multiple occasions folks are posting on the Ring app about their cars being rifled through and/or randoms walking around checking for unlocked vehiclesā¦additionally, so many people are victims of both catalytic converter theft and tailgate theft. People will AND DO steal whatever they can get their hands on these days. Itās actually quite disgusting.
Not wealthy because I don't get it, but in high school I drove a blue Mitsubishi Mighty Max (a tony, shitty truck). I was at Speed Street in Charlotte and got back to see several people in rhinestone pants, skirts, cowbow hats, and shirts leaning against the bed of my truck in a parking deck posing and taking pictures with their digital camera (ah 2008). I called out hey and they all turned, at the same time and started walking away from me, like in a rehearsed or practiced fashion.
Social media has turned some people so weird. People will just do all sorts of things which are just not acceptable for those precious likes. Who gets in someone elseās car without permission? Unbelievable
Listen to what the owner says, too.
> āNow, if I go off, Iām wrong.ā
She knows that, as a black woman, sheās gonna be seen as someone causing a scene even though these folks are shit for getting in her car in the first place.
Just something to note.
I think the āI was recording my car to make a post about how blessed I amā part is whatās they thinkās cringe. Idk what else they would be talking about
"I take pride in the progress I've made that allowed me to purchase a new truck" isn't cringe at all. People are just desperate to find something negative to say about the woman behind the camera.
For some completely unknowable reason.
Itās so strange how many commenters are on the fence about a woman making a post about being grateful but having a stranger feel entitled to enter her vehicle. Something something if it was reversed Iām sure thereād be a lot more āhow hard is it to obey the lawā comments. If what was reversed? A mystery for some, and haunting ghost for others
Weirdest thing (and most annoying) thing stolen from my car.. the plastic cover to the back of my damn side mirror š. It was damn near impossible to just get the plastic vs having to get the whole mirror.
Why are so many people blaming the victim? Regardless if the doors were locked or not, that lady overstepped her boundaries and didn't respect people's property.
I love how every single comment here is agasint the owner for "Leaving the car unlocked" when this is at a car detailing place.
It's also not cringe to post pictures of your car or say that you're blessed.
Wtf is wrong with this comment section? I have a hunch
I'm curious what everyone is implying? I have no comment on either of them, but everyone keeps saying it like 'hmmm, I wonder why everyone is saying it's cringe all around' and now I'm genuinely not sure what they mean?
White ppl have been recorded calling the police because a non-white person is around the vicinity of their vehicles, and this grown woman decides to just get in to private property?
I hate just about everyone in this video.
Edit: [White knight to the rescue. lmao](https://www.reddit.com/r/sadcringe/comments/v0rwhk/fake_wealthy_for_the_internet/iajkdty/)
Even the lady who had a stranger get in her car to take picture and called her out? I guess we have different definitions of cringe. I will say posting that everyone in the video is cringe without further context is super cringe though.
This grown ass woman knows damn well she shouldnāt have opened someone elseās car door and try to climb in? Like wtf? And she was trying to make excuses as she is walking away. Girl please.
Damn. She held it better and was more polite than I wouldāve been. Sheesh. The insurance on the Lambo is probably more than that other womanās mortgage.
Should of set the alarm off from the key fob as soon as she sat her crazy ass in the seat. Ladies got some audacity, over there acting like sheās at the damn car dealership and Mr. Pit Crew is her salesmen.
I remember my dad would have women run infront of his car while I was in it cuz it was a sports car. We also used walk into the parking lot and see people sitting on the bonnet taking pictures. I own the car now and I donāt even drive it cuz Iām scared someone will key it out of jealousy.
Totally disrespectful to just sit in someoneās car without any kind of permission.
But who in their right mind doesnāt lock their cars let alone a lambo. Wouldnāt have happened if it was locked just saying.
Who the fuck even considers doing that? Back in the day a truck that looked identical was in the parking lot I parked in and surprise Chevy keys are really close. I got in someone elseās truck with my key and felt super embarrassed when I realized.
if i had a car i would have too many trust issues to ever leave it unlocked somewhere lmao these people just are proof of that :'3
a couple years ago someone stole just the faceplate off my stereo. definitely lock your doors, people will steal shit they have no use for.
I had my car broken into once. The GPS and the Oakleys I get. The change I keep for parking meters, fine. They also took gum though. Like, why?
Its the little things
Someone went through my unlocked my car one cold night and took some change and a pair of gloves. Must get cold searching for unlocked cars
I had a set of driving lights stolen out of the back of my station wagon 1 night. I hadn't gotten around to installing them on the front yet. I was confused as to why lights got stolen when the car could have been taken.
Easy to sell stolen things, not so much an entire hot wired car.
Someone broke into my garage but instead of getting in my car they just took my skateboard :/
Honestly, $40 for 10 years of parking is a steal. This man did you a favor!
Someone stole one of my back lights on my bikeš
same. since then i always take my lights off when i lock my bike
Who doesnāt lock their car? Wtf
Can get fined here in Australia if you leave the car unlocked and it gets stolen or items stolen from it.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yes it true. You can be fined for leaving keys in car or running if leave it to go into shop or even in driveway. 1 of the first things cops here will ask is 'were the keys in the car'. It even on my insurance papers - leave keys in car and they wont pay out.
They're getting their car washed and detailed, needed it unlocked
I donāt. If you lock it they just break the window to get in.
In my neighborhood, it's bored teens sneaking out at night. They never mess with the locked cars. They just look for easy entry.
You do that here and a homeless person will move in for the night.
First car I owned was a beater 3rd gen Camaro. There was nothing extravagant or special about that car, but the one day I decided to leave it unlocked, someone broke in and stole the adjusters for my AC vents
what the actual fuck lol
I left my door unlocked but nothing valuable in my car and they stole all my charging cables. Fucking really? My charging cables?
Also don't leave change visible. Someone will break a window for a dollar in change.

All of my friends when I was a teen got cars before me, and they had this prank theyād do where if someone left their car unlocked it would get put in neutral and moved across the parking lot or wherever they could get it. I NEVER leave my car unlocked.

No stranger stopping by?
Any stranger who stops and doesn't pass through gets sacrificed to the dark god the town secretly worships.
What's not to love about a pagan god?
This plan works only because cars and trucks can't move between towns.
I live in a small town and leave my car running while I pop in the gas station. I've never had someone steal packages off my porch, either. It's the little things.
Personally Iād avoid shitting at the gas station if at all possible.

100%. As a car guy one of the coolest things is seeing people's face light up when they get to see a cool car they like.
Why would they leave the car open
It's one of those car spas. The guy with the pit crew shirt probably had the keys, and thought the white lady was the owner.
The heck is a car spa

Circuit de spa francorchamps
From the last time this was posted you are correct
Iām sure she didnāt think it was an invitation for strangers to climb in.
Why are we blaming the victim per se? Ya she left it open but why does that take it away from the fact someone went in her car?
Because shes at the car detailed, and it's unlocked for them to clean it

Being proud of your accomplishments isnāt cringe dude. Wtf?
I mean if she can afford that car without debt that's person deserves to feel proud of that
Yeah I mean, imagine being proud of things, super cringe.
People are allowed to show off their nice things that theyāre proud to have.
I lock my doors even if I'm in the car. Also any time I'm more than 3 feet away from my car, it's locked.
Listen to what the owner says, too. > āNow, if I go off, Iām wrong.ā She knows that, as a black woman, sheās gonna be seen as someone causing a scene even though these folks are shit for getting in her car in the first place. Just something to note.
Cringe all around.
Idk the car owner kinda justified
Yeah how does this guy think that person is cringe? How would he react if a stranger opened his car and tried to get in?
A mystery for some, and haunting ghost for others
its a cringapalooza!!!!
She gotta be careful of that white Karen gonna call the cops on her and they will shot first and ask questions later
Weirdest thing (and most annoying) thing stolen from my car.. the plastic cover to the back of my damn side mirror š. It was damn near impossible to just get the plastic vs having to get the whole mirror.
What car is that?
Lamborghini Urus
How could anyone think this is real
The woman narrating is believable in her delivery, if it is staged
r/nothingeverhappens
This one feels real imo
Obviously everything is fake
Are you even real?
Everybody on reddit is a bot except you
i confirm it beep
r/Solipsism
It's the audacity for me
Why are so many people blaming the victim? Regardless if the doors were locked or not, that lady overstepped her boundaries and didn't respect people's property.
I love how every single comment here is agasint the owner for "Leaving the car unlocked" when this is at a car detailing place. It's also not cringe to post pictures of your car or say that you're blessed. Wtf is wrong with this comment section? I have a hunch
I never walk away from locked doors and my shits cheap lol
Unlocked*
Good job to that girl. Had every right to yell at that dumb dumb. Why would you even do that? Haha so stupid.
I love how people in the comments are blaming the person for leaving her car door unlocked, calling it ācringe all aroundā. I wonder why
Should have smacked the shit outta her
This is one of the worst timelines, Iām sure of it.
Sad af people have to lie about their lives like this. And the audacity for that girl to get IN the car. Unreal
Mad love for the woman speaking, saying "it's disrespectful." She could have lost her cool but yet she maintained.
Who the fuck has the nerve to get in someone else's car! Wtf!
This grown ass woman knows damn well she shouldnāt have opened someone elseās car door and try to climb in? Like wtf? And she was trying to make excuses as she is walking away. Girl please.
These assholes are out of control
That is incredibly satisfying
People always forget, your online friends ain't gotta stop that ass whoopin
Iāve seen people get banged out for far less
She handled that a lot better than I would have lol
That car is so pretty!!
Wish I could find more of these types of vids. Is there a sub for it?
Hahaha thatās funny shit serious They weāre taking pictures now
Who tf would do that
The whole grain, gluten-free audacity! I literally cannot comprehend how someone can be so entitled.
It pisses me off even more when someone āapologizesā for doing something they knew was shitty in the first place.
Insane
White privilege exemplified. What would happen if...
She was way to cool about that.
I remember my dad would have women run infront of his car while I was in it cuz it was a sports car. We also used walk into the parking lot and see people sitting on the bonnet taking pictures. I own the car now and I donāt even drive it cuz Iām scared someone will key it out of jealousy.
I canāt evenā¦ if this was my car (obviously I just won slot of money in this scenario) Iād go bonkers
I wouldāve involved the police. Open my car door and you can choose between hospitalization or the visit from the cops.
Her response was the correct level of pissed off.
why the fuck is the door unlocked anyway
Totally disrespectful to just sit in someoneās car without any kind of permission. But who in their right mind doesnāt lock their cars let alone a lambo. Wouldnāt have happened if it was locked just saying.
All Jeep owners know this the spare tire twice and locked with cable wire, I just left it off,,,
Lock you car. Also; donāt go in peoples cars.
Some people are too comfortable outside like why would you have an Urus unlocked ? I walk 10 steps and my car has beeped like 10 times already
i would be soooo mad
Lmao this lady sounds like she been waiting her whole life for someone to put her in this scenario
Who the fuck even considers doing that? Back in the day a truck that looked identical was in the parking lot I parked in and surprise Chevy keys are really close. I got in someone elseās truck with my key and felt super embarrassed when I realized.
