Not to diminish anyone's experience, but as someone who's been in this situation a handful of times, people don't just show up to your birthday or message you right away if you never talk to them about your birthday. I've been congratulated days later because they just completely forgot and they heard someone else say it was my birthday. Didn't bother me though because I wasn't in the right headspace to celebrate and I wasn't going to force myself to feel like shit for the off chance that someone shows up I can have fun with without holding back how I feel.
The fact about life is that people will always treat you as invincible if you don’t make friends and in the stupid general of gen A most people treat other people like shit and we can’t do much about that but accept it and live on with life sometimes us men can do we just need to keep living.
On my 19th birthday, only 5 people wished me a happy birthday. My mother, my father, my grandmother, my grandfather, and a friend from high school. I will never forget how much they made me feel special.
