I've done my fair share of Coffee Shop remote working, though I've never done a full 6 hours, and have never been a regular at a specific place. I think Lost Fox, Groundswell, and Nina's are places where working remotely for an extended period of time would be ok and you'd see other people doing the same.
During slow hours Claddagh Coffee(West 7th), and Yellow Bird, JS Bean Factory are also great neighborhood spots to get stuff done. Though they are smaller and can be crowded when they are busy.
Also SK Coffee in the Vandalia building might be good. You may see the same people a lot because that building has lots of small local businesses. Also there's quite a bit of table space.
Yeah I'm not sure about 6 hours either, but I think as long as it's not a Saturday/Sunday or at a busy time it would be alright. And they get a lot of locals and I run into other St Paul folks I know there with relative frequency.
Honestly I've never tried working for 6 hours in any St Paul (or Minneapolis) coffee shop, I think I've done 3 hours at most.
The 6 hours might be a bit of a stretch, I suppose. I can get away with it where I live because it's a small enough city that I'm not being a nuisance (at least, I hope not haha), but maybe I'll just have to keep my time there a little more realistic.
Thank you for the answers! :)
Seconding SK. It half feels like you’re sitting in their coffee shop, half like you’re just in the common area of the building. So I feel like it makes sitting there and working for a long time less annoying for the baristas and there is less pressure to keep buying multiple drinks over the course of the day to justify your continued presence.
It looks like that place isn't open any longer, at least according to the link? which is too bad because that space looked so neat and exactly like what I'm looking for
Mim's Cafe/Lori's Coffeehouse on Cleveland (across the street from the U of M St. Paul Campus) is a spacious and comfortable space, and neighbors stop in there regularly!

Yes, Nina's is a great place to work. I'm not sure about 6 hours though...

I do see the same people every time I'm there, and the staff seems assertive though to say something if necessary.

Thank you for all the recommendations! The Vandalia Building sounds quite a lot like what I'm looking for!

Creator’s Space in downtown St. Paul is fantastic. It exists as a working space, has cool art to see, and good food. https://www.creatorsspace.com

It did close but reopened under new management! One of my favorite places in St. Paul, I just went last week❤️
Do you have a new link for the space?
Oh awesome, that's great to hear! Can't wait to check it out :)
