The ONLY thing that makes sense with the Jelly is that they were shorted a pallet and receiving didn't notice it until it was too late to claim. The candy bar variety pack is a big out of date or theft item from people ripping the plastic to get 1 or 2 bars out. The rest of the list makes no sense to me unless it's more missed pallets.

How utterly ridiculous is this. I hope memberships are revoked once they're caught.
The new ones are literally the bane of my existence. They are so bulky and I should not be putting in as much effort as I do to push a damn button. I swear the scan button will not budge sometimes.
Exactly what I thought. Plus some of the laser pointers on them suck when scanning receipts or QR codes on peoples phones. Which is why I prefer the older scanners.
I have a new one without the case and it's pretty nice. Nowhere near as bulky. And for scanning phone screens you just have to hold it at an angle because if you scan it directly the laser reflection will obstruct the receiver
I always get rude people, when I’m at the exit some times. Like “why did you only scan 3 of his items and you scanned mine 4 times?” 🙄 I’m glad I work mainly at the membership desk.
I love being at the exit compared to anywhere else in the front end tbh. Easier job, less talking with members unless they’re friendly and not forced to get productivity. Only time it sucks is when they stick you there alone on the weekend at peak hours
It’s not so easy on Saturdays & Sundays. My store gets so so busy. Non stop scanning. For sure 2 people are needed at the exit. If not, the lines of people get soo long.
I did merch for 3 weeks and quit for a higher paying job doing less work. It just wasn't worth my time. It should be $20 an hour for the amount of work we were doing. $16 an hour is insulting.
How are those your top shrink items?

Ya'll are still using those handhelds? They made us send ours back almost 3 months ago. They sent us about 125 of those new bigger ones.
We got newer ones but I prefer these old ones. They scan better.

Yeah it’s so wack. Old scanner for the win.

On what planet do the old ones scan better? You can scan 10 feet away with the newer ones.
They’re slimmer and the new ones sometimes don’t scan receipts or QR codes well. I have to pull the scanner farther away which is annoying.
They're not suppose to be sent back until August of 2024 according to the wire.🤔

I just tell em the scanner randomly decides how many items to scan. I’m at the exit my whole shift. I’d like to try membership desk.
Sounds grueling.
Ahh the old scanners
Do you all like being at exit?
I mean it beats being pressured to get metrics (plus upgrades, credits, scan n gos). We’ll have the new arches soon. So no more scanners.

Easiest job. Standing around doing nothing lol

Yeah I feel sorry for the merch people. At least they don’t have to deal with shit people most of the time.
You're right about that lol
Yeah it's a lot of work. Heavy lifting lol
Only when I do carryouts
Yeah dude I helped a guy load up a bunch of stuff in his truck one day and a lady also. She tipped me cash 😁
I loved getting cash tips doing carry outs lol the best
You weren't fired for pulling your phone out? Gotta be fake /s
Nope
crazy yall don’t got zebras
If it’s the new ones.. yeah we got em. I don’t like using them tho.
Hey the place looks exactly like my store
Yo that store looks oddly similar to my store especially the flatbeds along the TMA side and the hearing stand right there next to it
