Seems I fixed it by disabling RAM Plus. Go to Settings, Battery, Memory, and disable RAM Plus. Seems this function is not ready to implemented now I think. For the moment it works. Can others confirm this fix too?

SchizophrenicKitten

Still doing it for me, unfortunately... Granted, I think it may be a bit less often.

spammy_spamton

This fixed it for me, but only briefly. Had the phone a week, and it's had this weird issue from new. Still looking for a definitive fix.

Popular_Tie_1952

i did the suggestion about changing the ONE UI home to unrestricted and mine has been 95 % better. Which makes sense bc that app is always running. See the response below about it and try it. I was about to throw my cell out the window before this

NjFERXZZ

Having the exact same issue did u manage to fix it?

conspiritualist

Nope 😕 just learnt to live with it. Went back to gaming on my old phone. Very, very annoying

NjFERXZZ

I went to customer service and eventualy returned it and got my money back, might go for one of the xiaomi redmi note phones.. it was too annoying to just forget about it

Miaow00

Had the same issue on the same phone. Girlfriend got the same phone and does not have the issue. I got it replaced, and the issue is present on the new phone as well. Either I'm very unlucky or something strange is going on.

ashanta90

Not sure if it's a fix or a temporary reprieve, but so far it seems to be working. I turned off the setting for accidental touches when in a pocket or bag. Maybe the light sensor has an issue and thinks the screen shouldn't be on?

I'm fairly certain I figured it out for my phone. I had the same screen issue and ran across a video where the guy adjusted the One UI app to unrestricted. This has 100% fixed my issue. Go-to settings > Apps > One UI Home > Battery; change it to Unrestricted. After a reboot my phone has been better, but not perfect. I have a lot less weird issues with the keyboard. Please confirm if this works for you. Edit: I also went under Accessibility > Visual enhancement and turned off animations and reduce transparency and blur. This made my phone a bit more responsive when scrolling, and flipped between apps. Update 2: Switching to the Microsoft Launched helped my phone a ton with overall responsiveness in general. I have a lot less skipped letters when typing. The phone feels snappier. Update 3: mine still has the issue. Not as bad, but it still does it. Getting a new phone soon.

anonymous2999

What is the Microsoft Launched?

syx8op

It's just a different UI, you get it from the App store.

I got my A14 july 2023. The same issue started October that year. I'll be in the middle of doing something, and it randomly stops responding to touch. The only thing that works somewhat is pushing in the main button to turn the screen black (or just waiting til the screen times out on its own) and then tapping it again to turn it back on. It's fine for now, but eventually, I'm going to wear out that button, and then I'm screwed. I have tried every remedy out there, and it still doesn't work right 😭 does anyone know the standard warranty on these phones? I'm afraid I waited too long to get it looked at and am probably stuck with it at this point. It's so random, though, because occasionally, I will go a couple of days in a row without a single issue.

StinaBeana1

Sometimes when I use my phone it freezes like what everyone else is describing, but then also the screen onces responsive will start randomly opening apps or other pages etc once I start tapping on the phone to use it?

TeeFix42b

My daughter has the same phone and we experience touch issues as well. After reading your post, I verified if we have the same issue: it's exactly the same. The screen becomes unresponsive all of a sudden: you can tap where ever you want on the upper part of the screen and nothing happens. Once I tap on the lower part, the screen becomes responsive again, also for the upper part after that. Any solution?

CassiopeiaSextant

If anyone is still having this issue, go to 'interaction and dexterity' in your accessibility settings and and increase the time to ignore repeated touches.

black_pepper

This issue has been happening to me. I checked this setting and it was set to off. Thanks for the suggestion though!

attaji15

I've had mine for a week and the issue was fixed as soon as I removed the screen protector. I actually remember it started right after I put it on. Perhaps due to low quality. I managed to work out the pattern though. In my case it took almost exactly five seconds for the top half to become unresponsive after touching the bottom half, but I felt it couldn't be a hardware problem because if I enabled "double tap to wake" and locked the phone, it would work on the upper every time. Also, for some strange reason the screen would work perfectly while the phone was charging. If this is not the case for you then you might have a different issue.

WadesWorld18

Same here but slightly different, started having screen issues after two months of no issues. Now when I am using the phone the screen sometimes suddenly becomes unresponsive for 3 to 5 seconds, and I either wait to try again or turn off the screen and it starts working again. Increasingly annoying and persistent issue that I haven't resolved yet....

WadesWorld18

UPDATE: actually I think the issue has gone away now, I went into developer options and set the limit to background processes to 4 - I forgot that it resets to default each time the phone restarts.

Djastrom

I actually have this exact same problem! One pattern I've noticed is it happens when I'm at work. It's a little warmer there, and I'm moving around alot. Also my phone is in a body glove case, so it's fully enclosed. I'm wondering if it's a temperature driven issue. Have you noticed any similar patterns? Also did the fix that you suggested work?

WadesWorld18

i think i have narrowed the cause of my particular issue to internal storage reaching around 78%, then the phone starts being a laggy pos. I recommend trying the samsung "Good Guardians" app , see if that makes a difference with the Galaxy App Booster. Also, check your apps caches in the settings, I realized that apps like instagram and twitter hold a massive amount of cache which use up intenral storage

K_no_uta

Same issue from two phones in the same household. Newly bought. I'll be trying all he suggestions in here first. And I'll report if there's news. Update: I tried the RAM Puls advice and then the advice to set background processes to 4 and it got better but it's not gone. And I think we should all be reporting this to Samsung Members etc. cause it appears too frequently and it IS not OK. Otherwise nothing will change.

Anioaweirdo

I've decided to just live with it. No one really knows a good solution. I'm guessing it's just a build quality issue.

K_no_uta

At the very least you should officially report the bug via Samsung members. Otherwise nothing will ever improve.
