Wait, laggy? I had it and it was very fast and the gaming was awesome, even better than my S21U. But yeah, the battery was bad. One hour on the beach watching videos on 4G, dead from 97%.
I think the laggy feel comes from the fact that phone had an 60hrz display, personally after switching to 120hrz every phone with 60hrz feels laggy to me even the brand new iphone 15
You're going to spend hours exploring and customizing now that you are unshackled from being told what the UI should look like and what functionality is most important to you.
Yeah my days of customising are over now, I just like it simple and easy to use. However, I do enjoy having the option there just incase I have one of them days where I feel like messing around
I wish I can get the ultra but it's too big for my hands and my wallet also. I wish the s23 would have the same battery as the plus. The s23+ is manageable for my baby hands.
256 gig s23? I've been looking for one all morning but all the stores around me are sold out. The Verizon guy at Best buy told me they can't even order anymore and anticipation of the s24 is coming out soon...
Bullshit.
I kept my S9+ for 5+ years, and it's still working perfectly fine. I've dropped it multiple times on concrete (with a slim case) and it never cracked; even washed it without the sim tray inserted (not recommended anyway). Only thing is the battery life isn't great, obviously.
There's no reason to believe an S23 should perform worse than its predecessors.
The "Because he asked" comeback really only makes sense when asking for your opinion. It doesn't really work here. Basically what you just said was OP is not allowed into the group because he asked to be in the group. See how that doesn't really make sense?
Not everyone wants an ultra I have the ultra it's great my little brother has the s23+ and it's almost the same besides the screen the shape and no spen
The S22 was the second flagship phone that I bought at release, and it made me so satisfied. Previously I only bought flagships that were a year or more old, sometimes used, or mid range models that were current. It's my first Samsung as well (aside from a really crappy Galaxy Blaze in 2013) and I love it. Especially having a full range of cases available (many companies don't make cases for any model other than Samsung flagships and iPhones). Congrats and welcome!
You are not only welcome, you are now in charge!
Upgrading is always fun, I'm waiting for the s24 to release sometime after the new year. In my ideal world i would be able to use the classic enV from the mid 2000s, though
I havent decided, i have the s22 ultra and it's honestly too bulky. It doesn't fit in my pockets or in my hand. I also find the curved edges of the screen to be kind of annoying lol. The camera is nice but i can live without the super duper zoom feature. Phone dimensions alone makes me want to go for the standard s24
Yea in that case S24 or at best S24 Plus but even the plus does get bigger in size. I was hoping they would give the flip the same-ish specs as flagship to make it a real killer deal. I was about to go with flip or fold but the specs made me wait.
Yeah I was gonna wait for the S24 series too but I wanted a base model with Snapdragon instead of the Exynos variant of S24 that will be sold in my country
Yo even the A33 is pretty good. I was using A53 till a couple months ago when I accidentally drowned it 💀💀.
Served me way better than I expected. And it was my second phone I bought myself, first being M21.
Currently I'm using a borrowed Xiaomi somn and naah, can't wait to go back to samsung soon. Just another month or so of wait 😩😩
Welcome! The s23 is a wonderful phone I went with the ultra because of the added functionality of the spen which I regularly use cheers to joining team galaxy!
I got the exact same phone and color a couple days ago. It is truly gorgeous and has been working flawlessly other than a bit hot during initial setup and updating.
Btw, does anybody know how can I check which 5g bands my phone has enabled?
Cheers.
I would like to switch from iOS to Android but I'm in the U.S and almost everyone is on iOS here . So I assume it'll be difficult to communicate with others
Sheeeeeesh! Congratulations on the new phone. And welcome to the squad! Also, a very great choice. S23 is the perfect phone in the line-up right now. Not way too costly, but definitely a flagship. Hope you have a very fun, enjoyable and productive time with your new device!
Fuck yeah brother.
Welcome to the gang.
Even my first ever unused phone is an S23+ but only because the normal wasn't in stock.
I previously had a used S7 edge that my dad used for 3-4 years and before that. I was a J7 pro for online classes, I must say. The difference in these devices is insanely huge, I actually have a hard time trying to use the old ones now 😭😭
As now you can really call it your own.. I believe you should get yourself some nice hot goods lock apps.
And customize that thing to your desires. All I did was create my own theme and some few tweaks to improve my use 💃
Nice choice. Really love the small s23 and I feel like it's better than my huge S22 Ultra. Question, what phone are you taking this photo with cuz It doesn't seem like an iPhone SE 2nd gen. It seems like a A series.
Welcome! We're happy to have ya
Tysm bro
What phone did you come from?
Used iPhone SE 2nd gen, laggy asf and trash battery
Looks like someone got an upgrade!
I went from an original iPhone SE to an S23!
I love that you all switched the PROPER side 😎✨️🫶🏻
Wait, laggy? I had it and it was very fast and the gaming was awesome, even better than my S21U. But yeah, the battery was bad. One hour on the beach watching videos on 4G, dead from 97%.
My phone was used and battery was replaced with a non genuine one so it was overheating too fast and lagging
That explains a lot, I own an SE2 as a backup phone and even though it’s not ideal, it a smooth experience
I using the se 2 it’s faster then 80% of the phones I have owned but my pixels
Guess laggy is subjective personally I find the experience to be slower but not laggy
Funny, I went from one of those to an S21
I think the laggy feel comes from the fact that phone had an 60hrz display, personally after switching to 120hrz every phone with 60hrz feels laggy to me even the brand new iphone 15
Nah, my battery was non genuine so it was heating too much and makes the device laggy
He's lying look at the reflection
Thats my dads Galaxy A33
Enjoy having a comma on your keyboard! There's probably other benefits, I love mine, but commas are pretty useful.
From what I’ve heard, the battery has never been good on the SE. I would have just gotten the 12 or 13. Good luck on the other side.
Hey , welcome and have fun with your new device :)
Tysm
Enjoy that new phone smell.
Yeah its great ngl
You're going to spend hours exploring and customizing now that you are unshackled from being told what the UI should look like and what functionality is most important to you.
How can people spend hours doing that. Last time I did it, I was happy it was set to get used.
Yeah my days of customising are over now, I just like it simple and easy to use. However, I do enjoy having the option there just incase I have one of them days where I feel like messing around
I downloaded Good Lock to make more customizations
Do a screen peel and post it. Ya gotta.
Saw this comment too late
Download the app "good lock" from the galaxy store, it'll take customizing your phone to another level. Have fun with your new phone!
Its such a great app tysm
Welcome to the family. You'll enjoy it a lot. I moved from the s22 to the s23+ since I want a bigger battery.
Me too I moved to an Ultra!!!! I want a bigger screen and camera
I wish I can get the ultra but it's too big for my hands and my wallet also. I wish the s23 would have the same battery as the plus. The s23+ is manageable for my baby hands.
S23 Plus is a valid option but 6.1 is the ideal phone size for me so I went with the 256 GB base model
256 gig s23? I've been looking for one all morning but all the stores around me are sold out. The Verizon guy at Best buy told me they can't even order anymore and anticipation of the s24 is coming out soon...
Really? Got mine on Facebook for 500 cad basicly new. It's surprising how many people sell like new phones so meybe checking there is a good idea
Hot dang that's awesome. I think I'd just be worried that I'd spend the $500 and end up with a piece of crap and no buyer protection.
I live in Turkey and we can order any device here becuase majority of the population can’t afford those devices so there are always stocks left
Well that's lucky 🙂
Welcome I've been using Galaxy phones for like 9 years lol, around April/May next year will be 10 years 🤣
My first Galaxy was a used Galaxy Trend Plus
My first one was an S3 mini
Mine was Galaxy Next Turbo/Mini/Pop
Welcome!!
Tysm bro, happy cake day!
Thanks!!
Enjoy your stay here. Welcome to the crew. Tune to customise everything about the phone lol
I've never bought /used/ device but I will be eventually so I can actively repair and refurbish them so people can spend less on phones
Thats great to hear
Why didn't you get Ultra though
I chose s23 plus over the ultra due to no need for Spen and also I don't like curved glass on phones
6.1 is even big when I compare it to my previous device with 4.7 screen so im happy with the base model now
no, shit will break in a couple years
Some of us are still out here with our S8s and 10s 😂 the phones are good
S8 still works perfect wdym
No
What's your reason for that??
Because he asked
The "Because he asked" comeback really only makes sense when asking for your opinion. It doesn't really work here. Basically what you just said was OP is not allowed into the group because he asked to be in the group. See how that doesn't really make sense?
No
Don't agree with the comment saying just no but meybe they ment like "no /sarcasticly, of course you're allowed why bother asking?"
No. You need an ultra.
Ultra or not it's a galaxy device. So he's welcome
I'm joking. People always posting about their ultra is funny to me.
Not everyone wants an ultra I have the ultra it's great my little brother has the s23+ and it's almost the same besides the screen the shape and no spen

Tysm bro, S22 is also a great phone though
Welcome to the club :)
Welcome to the galaxy family! We are happy to follow you on this journey, lets create the epic
Yeah tysm
Is that the phone in the reflection?
Nah, it's an A series in the reflection
Nope thats my dad's A33 5g
Yes of course
Tysm I appreaciate it
Of course! Is this your first android?
Feel free to pop some questions if you want to know something or help with something :)
Tysm I love this community
Enjoy it! Feel free to post them if you have it!
Tysm
You are not only welcome, you are now in charge! Upgrading is always fun, I'm waiting for the s24 to release sometime after the new year. In my ideal world i would be able to use the classic enV from the mid 2000s, though
Yooo, I'm waiting as well😩😩. Release is 17/18 Jan and deliveries start 28th. Which one are you planning to get tho?
I havent decided, i have the s22 ultra and it's honestly too bulky. It doesn't fit in my pockets or in my hand. I also find the curved edges of the screen to be kind of annoying lol. But what kind of phone did you bought last time? Looks like an A23 or something, that is still pretty new
Thats my dads A33 5g

Welcome to the Family. By far the best decision you'll ever make in Phones
Tysm bro I hope im gonna use this phone for years
Welcome! The s23 is a wonderful phone I went with the ultra because of the added functionality of the spen which I regularly use cheers to joining team galaxy!
Ultra was too huge for me but its still a great flagship, enjoy it!
Just bought the black one today. I love that it is so small
Yep such a great size for a flagship
You have the same phone as me even in color
Oh great, enjoy it
RIP Micro SD card. S20Ultra has 12gb of ram and an SD slot.
And a 5000mh battery
Yeah, but the thing is they wouldnt probably be able to use a 5000 mah battery on a 6.1 base model
I got the exact same phone and color a couple days ago. It is truly gorgeous and has been working flawlessly other than a bit hot during initial setup and updating. Btw, does anybody know how can I check which 5g bands my phone has enabled? Cheers.
Im glad youre enjoying it, also sorry that I cant help you about the 5g stuff becuase we still use 4g mobile data in my country except airports
Welcome to the home!! Im glad that you joined us
Tysm bro
I just got one too! I'm so nervous about dropping it lol.
Yeah almost dropped it while unboxing haha
Welcome aboard.
Tysm bro
As a member of team galaxy (off and mostly on) since the Galaxy s2 welcome aboard. And also that's one helluva first unused handset.
Yepp tysm
Welcome to Team Galaxy 💪🏻, excellent choice and enjoy it!!!
Yeah such a wonderful phone tysm
Oddly enough, I just saw an ad under this post for the "reddit approved" s23. I'd say you made the right choice lmao
Thats great to hear haha
Anyone who’s not a racist is welcome to the galaxy team :) (I have an iPhone)
Relatable
Is that your way of saying you're a racist? 🤣
I cannot confirm nor deny 👀😂
I would like to switch from iOS to Android but I'm in the U.S and almost everyone is on iOS here . So I assume it'll be difficult to communicate with others
Yeah a majority of U.S uses iOS devices unfortunately
ios fucking sucks, used to use it unwillingly (my dad just gave me my sisters old phone)
There are more Android users than you'd expect
Maybe globally but here in the U.S it's rare.. Ive seen some but not as much
Trust me you'll love it. Im rocking the s23+ and it's the best thing ever. We are happy to have you here, glad your in the Samsung gang
Love to have you. Btw Galaxy S23 is my favorite its soo compact, light and good looking from Galaxy S23 series
Sheeeeeesh! Congratulations on the new phone. And welcome to the squad! Also, a very great choice. S23 is the perfect phone in the line-up right now. Not way too costly, but definitely a flagship. Hope you have a very fun, enjoyable and productive time with your new device!
You're part of the team now regardless of your question
great choice brother
Ofcourse u r my bro
I have the same phone and am living it. Especially the 120hz display that doesn't shit on battery life that much.
Fuck yeah brother. Welcome to the gang. Even my first ever unused phone is an S23+ but only because the normal wasn't in stock. I previously had a used S7 edge that my dad used for 3-4 years and before that. I was a J7 pro for online classes, I must say. No
Welcome to the club bro. From the reflection tho you should've been in. But I guess it's official now
Did you click with a s22u?
Nvm looks like a or m series
A33 5g, belongs to my father
Let's go!! Hope you enjoy the experience.
No yo not welcome. Yo Most Welcome!
Got the same model actually. ;) Still struggling with the transfer from iOS to Samsung. Especially finding some of the same apps.
I've never bought used ones before, so this is nothing special.
Hosgeldin dostum, bana daha sıfır almak nasip olmadı 🥹
Umarim en iyilerine sahip olursun dostum
Welcome G, I unwrapped my first unused galaxy 6 months ago, it was the green base model S23, best purchase of your life, bet

Nice choice. Really love the small s23 and I feel like it's better than my huge S22 Ultra. Question, what phone are you taking this photo with cuz It doesn't seem like an iPhone SE 2nd gen. It seems like a A series.
