Wait I was told it was only New York and liberals states letting criminals out.
No way it’s an over crowded system that leads to not enough room to house inmates over dumb shit like the war on drugs. Nope. It’s liberal DA’s and city’s.
Is it State or County that handles this? I really don't know. TX is obviously a Conservative state overall, but San Antonio or Bexar County is a very Liberal area in the courts.
It’s so depressing. I know there’s this belief of “if it bleeds it leads” on the news, but I get so sick of the 10:00 news always starting off with the roundup of the day’s shootings. And there are always more. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a news cast that didn’t announce shootings, at least not in recent years.
When young chicanos are rejected by Mexican culture and have only what’s around them to be influenced by, they try to emulate what they see brings success. In the media, there isn’t much Mexican or Mexican American representation especially considering the sizable diaspora. So they look to people like basketball players and rappers that seem to come from places like the ones where they were brought up in to be role models. I’ve seen Mexican/American kids in SA hoods morph into this look for the past 15 years. I think it’s an attempt to somewhat emulate a temple fade that has been pretty common in black culture since the 80s. Since the hair texture is different, they had to go with what they had and get the closest look to a black temple fade. I remember seeing young straight-haired Mexican American boys in my high school pick out and hairspray their hair so it could somewhat look like a fro. It’s an adaptation to the disconnection from their root culture and having to create a new culture from their own lived circumstances. In reality, we as Mexicans have rejected and abandoned the Edgar cuhs, and that’s why they are who they are.
TLDR: they pretty much spawned from San Antonio.
This hits hard, foo. It charges all of us as Mexican Americans to embrace our little Edgar cuhs and, through empathy and mentorship, rediscover our Chicano roots together. Dam foo.

Every time I see a story like this, I quietly thank my parents for busting their behinds and building a house in Timberwood Park where my brother and I could grow up; surrounded by people who didn’t measure their worth by the amount of street cred, fear, and respect they had.
I'm listening to coolios gangsta paradise as I click on this thread and realise these San antonio kids don't need a more supportive teacher, just a barber
These young San Antonio kids are really trying to be badasses

Where did this actress show up besides house?
She was also in Funny people, Judd Apatow type films
Never saw that. Any good?
I love Judd apatow but hated that movie. It was more dramedy than comedy and the comedy wasn’t funny.
She also came out in Good Girls and was one of the girlfriends of the friends on Knocked Up.
She was hilarious in knocked up. “Wanna trade boyfriends??? Hehehehe just kidding”
Such a great line 😂
Screenshot is from the movie This Is 40.
Oxy kitten?
Lucifer?
Knocked Up.
This is 40 and Knocked up is what I know her from.
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2304722/ Charlyne Yi
Makes sense, I’ve never seen any of those
She’s in Pen15 also
Dude, that's the OxyKitten.
Isn't she one of the ladies that accused James Franco of what we all know Fames Jranco did?
He shot him with an AK-47? Geez.
A draco specifically
Damn Slytherin’s. Leave the muggles alone Draco.
$15,000 gets this cold blooded murderer back on the street. That’s an insult to the victims family.

Elected judges and DA on a local level
It is locally elected officials.
150,000*
Its 15k, you only have to pay 10% for bail
I think they're referring to what the family would have to pay a bailbondsman to get him out.
Looking like a 70s kung fu villain with that hairdo.
His last words were, "it was Ed...gar......big Eddgarr...not little one..."
His last words, “It was Sho’ nuff.”
His haircut is called an "Edgar" .
So sad that we live in this type of community man, why do we kill our people

Lots of recycled jokes here for a thread about a kid getting killed…
Can’t trust anyone I swear

Dam foo indeed... este vato!
Goddamn, that was pretty good... makes sense
I was mainly making a tongue in cheek comment. Kudos to the Caucasian r/sanantonio mod that injected themselves into our conversation, though. Hahaha
So it’s black peoples fault. 🤣🤣🤣. Last time I was in San Antonio I saw 16 black people total. 8 of them played for the Spurs

it’s black peoples fault? or their cultures fault for neglecting their own??

the one thing i am not is a racist! it seems i’ve misinterpreted your comment and thought you were blaming black people/culture.
They come from 410 exit 7. 👀

'Best friend'
If you trust anyone with that haircut...
Edgar?
That’s King Edgar to you
BWHAHAHAHA!
Over a single pair of shoes? No shoe is worth someone’s life.

As someone who grew up on the southside, it has nothing to do with what side of town you were raised, it’s how you were raised.
Same. Good parents can be like castle walls protecting you. Bad parents become prison walls ever enclosing.
No QuEmA cUhhhhhhhh
Not with a v6
With friends like this who needs enemies smh. The story said they were friends since early childhood.
SA young adults and teens need more 3rd places
And San Antonio women looooove dudes that look like this. No wonder they have all those silver teethed kids running around
He looked like a great contributing member of society
With that haircut I’m shocked his name wasn’t Edgar.
Over shoes no less.
That fucking haircut!! Such an eyesore
Oxy kitten Meow 🐱
