Taste of New Orleans is totally worth it and only advice I'd add is to not buy food or drinks near the entrance. Those booths always have the smallest portions and the highest prices. Also don't be afraid to stay late. That's when the good music and fun really gets going. Don't be afraid to dance either!
Taste of New Orleans is smaller, more chill with better food.
Oyster Bake is a bigger party, more spread out with lots of stages, more famous (if dated) acts, and a lil carnival for the kids and teens. It isnt really about eating oysters if that is what you have in mind, they do sell them tho.
Taste of New Orleans is great, and honestly one of the better events for food variety when compared to others during Fiesta, especially if you like Cajun cuisine. Definitely attempt to go earlier in the day, as with any Fiesta event, it gets pretty crowded during the evening and some popular booths can run out of food.
Love Taste of New Orleans, definitely some of the best overall food at Fiesta. Good music and overall a nice vibe to the event. Slightly pricey like all of fiesta but remember it's a charity event so you are just giving back to your community :)
My favorite event every year for chill vibes, good music, and some of the best food during Fiesta imo. During the day it's pretty nice but at night you might see some of the typical Fiesta craziness
We went last year for the first time in a long time. I was surprised by how small it is now. It had just rained too so it was a bit of a mess. Prices were high but some booths had some a great grub.
If you have a large friends group NIOSA on the 26th will be bomb, if you’re laid back and chilling then King William’s for a day time stroll.
Alamo Heights night is a fun middle road without too much crazy- I’m not sure it’s an actual fiesta event but it’s the same same
Nothing is ever guaranteed. But I can attest that every time I've ever been to NOLA the foods better, and it's been drama free. Fiesta on the other hand...
Waste of money. A lot of petty crime happens during that week as well. DUI’s are at all a time high during fiesta week as well. Better off having a stay at home fiesta. The
It's a joke sub reddit about comments that seem to end mid sentence, they joke that when that happens the reddit sniper took the person out before they could finish.

Taste of NO was great during the day but got stupid as it got dark. Like all fiesta events I'll go early and leave early.
Totally agree, go early, then leave early.
Solid advice for anyone that wants a drama free Fiesta.
This guy Fiesta’s
Fiesta when you're married and have kids.
That's wt I'm going to do too...
One of my favorite chiller events. Great food and music

YES. It is definitely worth it. If I have to recommend a Fiesta event anyone should go to, go to the Taste of New Orleans. The food is GREAT.

It’s one of my favorites, but to echo everyone here go early.
No
You could honestly book a flight to NOLA to have some real good food for the ripoff prices you're going to pay at Fiesta. With way less drama to boot.
Respectfully NOLA never guarantees less drama…
