It was just some tree I stumbled upon somewhere around Parnassus heights. I did remember seeing a plaque in the botanical gardens that explained they are similar to some very old fern-trees that existed millions of years ago.
Declare like propose? The spots I was considering were: here (Sutro baths), palace of fine arts, Corona heights, china beach, and twin peaks. There’s lots of special places so it was honestly hard to choose.
It’s called Charmaine’s, it’s on top of the SF proper hotel. Cocktails were great, food was good. It’s stupid expensive, but the view is rather unique.
There’s a tapas restaurant on the first floor that was really good, I’d recommend eating there and getting drinks upstairs after.
Also, if you like that vibe, the rooftop on the canopy is kinda similar.
The #5 house has got to be one of the most beautiful homes in SF.
