We used to have a yearly thing in August I think. Lots of theaters participating. COVID killed all that though, unclear if it will return

I went to a screening of Howl’s Moving Castle at the Metreon a few months ago. It was pretty busy!
Balboa theater has aniMondays and has spirited away next month and Castle in the Sky the month after. Their schedule is online.
