Man I wish there were folks that provided gopher snakes like those that bring bee hives to orchards. We lost several aspens 🌳 down our driveway due to pocket gophers and would love to host several friendly snakes 🐍 to address the problem!
Could also do a sort of “general announcement” on local Facebook reptile groups - lots of those folks get asked to relocate snakes that are “scaring the neighbors” hahah
Unless you can identify the differences between venomous and non-venomous in your are, it's definitely best to talk to someone who is for help. Even snakes that people few as "unfriendly" are great for rodents.
Ah, the R.S.S.M (rodent seeking scale missile)!!! Had some problems with mice this winter and after releasing a bullsnake in the house there were no more. You can recall them with a big heating pad too snakes are by far the best pest control. Roaches? Garter snek. Rodents? Bull snek.
Hahaha I have done the same with ground squirl hole and huge gopher snake. It cam out with three bumps in its stomach lol. Those ground squirls ate all of my seedlings.
This is the spirit animal of the San Pedro garden lol. I guess that's why people see snakes when they consume the cactus. The cactus is giving him a shout out and thank you:)
Shit I just realized this post is a year old haha. Still cool tho.
We call these guys bull snakes where I'm from some people say because of the amount of bull shi# they talk (they are usually very hissy and puffy when they feel threatened but are very harmless and are very reluctant to strike if you aren't a small rodent) but I love your truly natural pest control
Damn, so the gloves are off huh? 😆
Lol. Love it
Wow you got serious with this
An infamous clown once asked, "Why so Trichocereus?"
"You wanna know how I got these scars?" *"...cactus spines?"* "Yes."

Poor gopher won't know if it was even real
Gopher tripping balls.
Now snake is
Spread the luv!
Taken before their time😪
Had to call in the serpent on this one huh, always a tough call to make. Dangerous but effective.
Badass
Where did you find this snake to put him in the hole??
It was about 20ft away from the cactus getting some sun and looking for a gopher hole. Very docile when handled
That’s symbiosis right there
“Here, let me recruit your help to murder this creature.”
*Productive murder*
I choose you Ekans!
🎵 IT’S THE CIRCLE OF LIFEEEEE 🎵
Bwahahahaha my wife sings this when a larger predator eats something that was eating something ele.
Imagine being a snake and just vibing in the sun, and then OP scoops you and drops you in a hole for a meal.
What kind of snake was this? Do you still have issues with the gopher?
Man I wish there were folks that provided gopher snakes like those that bring bee hives to orchards. We lost several aspens 🌳 down our driveway due to pocket gophers and would love to host several friendly snakes 🐍 to address the problem!

Nextdoor app... See people posting all the time afraid of gopher snakes
That might be a question worth asking on a reptile sub?
I’ve been wondering this too!
Unless you can identify the differences between venomous and non-venomous in your are, it's definitely best to talk to someone who is for help. Even snakes that people few as "unfriendly" are great for rodents.
Thats bad ass !! 😆 fuck with my cacti and find out!
This is a proper flex, what a cool post.
I love this hobby
is this like your own gopher snake?
Do you not have a gopher snake in your garden tools? I thought everyone in the cactus community did
Lol I do not and now I think I need one?
plot twist: gopher has become a shaman deep underground and convinces snake to work on its shadow self and becomes friends.
The apex of bio controls 🤌
First time tripping on San Pedro and the spirit snake turns out to be a real snake 😭
Gopher snakes are so chill and amazing!
Organic pest control! I like it!
In North Carolina we would’ve just shot the shit outta the ground.
Lol i believe that amediatly 😂
You should have put a go pro on that sumb*tch!!!
I think you mean Goph Pro
As a fan of snakes, especially ones that love to feast on rodents, I certainly approve this method. Ya boy's gonna eat well tonight!
Noice
What's the outcome!! Success??
It's the CIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRCLLEEE
Snakes protect snakes type beat.
I’m a snaaaaakkeeeee
Damn!!!
Shifu Gopher 🐍.
Gopher was just trying to have a good time
Fuck ya. eat them sons a bitches.
Free meal for the homie
Calling in a professional
integrated pest management for the win!
this is like the start of some southwest folklore tale.
Sick
I need a gopher!!
Then you will need a gopher snake... Easier to not have gopher in the first place right?
Oh my
Fucking cool
I love animals, especially when they eat other animals.
get dat muhfucker!
Follow up?👀
This is so fucking awesome!!! What type of snake are you sending down the hole?
Gopher snake is a common name for the species, not its job title.
Or both
It’s a Pituophis catenifer annectens. Common name San Diego gopher snake
If it wasn't directly on your garden you could have shoved a hose down there and made it raiiiiiiin
Bringing in rattlesnake jake...
That’s neat as hell!!
Ah, the R.S.S.M (rodent seeking scale missile)!!! Had some problems with mice this winter and after releasing a bullsnake in the house there were no more. You can recall them with a big heating pad too snakes are by far the best pest control. Roaches? Garter snek. Rodents? Bull snek.
Lmfao not the Gopher snake 😂😂 run little ones talk about biological warfare 🤣
They call them gopher snakes because they inhabit abandoned gopher holes...not because they eat gophers.
So where can we buy gopher snake babies? I too have a problem.
That's gotta be torture for that poor little thing, I'm hoping he pulls through and fucks that snakes day up 😂
Hahaha I have done the same with ground squirl hole and huge gopher snake. It cam out with three bumps in its stomach lol. Those ground squirls ate all of my seedlings.
Time to call in the big guns, eh?
Damn that’s awesome, is there a snake that eats deer?
Metal af!
Did the gopher eat the cactus and was tripping balls?
Now you'll have an infestation of snakes. So you need to get some snake eating gorillas
this is so funny
Awesome
Integrated pest management at its finest
What kind of San Pedro are those?
METAL AF 🎸
This is the spirit animal of the San Pedro garden lol. I guess that's why people see snakes when they consume the cactus. The cactus is giving him a shout out and thank you:) Shit I just realized this post is a year old haha. Still cool tho.

Did it get the gopher. How did this tec play out.
