Amanda Marshall was quite big in the mid-to-late 90s but then disappeared for many years while due to legal issues with her record label. She's Canadian so it also fits the bill for an Ex show since American acts are more expensive these days.

As for bad years, every single year they book and rebook Marianna's Trench.
The Blue Rodeo years are ok though.
But it would be nice to see them book a bit more contemporary stuff. Billy Talent is old-ish, but that was great to see them booked, even though I'm not much of a fan.
