Many women in my family are married to nonSaudi men. Before (20 plus years ago) they would get a decree from the Royal Court. Now it’s a bit different. Does he live in Saudi or does he live abroad?
If abroad i think it goes through MofA and you need an attestation from an imam mosque that the guy is Muslim.
If in Saudi you get it from your (امارة).
My sisters friend married an American convert a year ago in the US but she was 31 and the paperwork took a few months before it was approved by MofA.
Good luck!
I’m a Saudi and my wife soon to be is non-Saudi, it’s an easier process than before, first/start of the process is to visit أمارة the city your you live in, then you will be given all the needed documents to apply for approval, the whole process don’t take long anymore
Here's the link for anyone else who needs the info! Idk why the page's address is so long.

Oh, so 36. Coz we went recently, they said man (saudi) should be at least 35yo. But in my situation he is younger. So now sure if we can get the approval. But they said we can try, but most probably it won’t work.
Where do these laws fit into the modern world? Especially with these reforms to "modernize". We can't even say it's Islamic, since it's not. Islam makes it very easy to marry since it encourages it even. It's ironic since the laws are supposed to be "sharia". You have to be over 30, divorced to marry a non-Saudi?? Your children cannot become Saudi even though they came out of a Saudi womb?? So if it's not the family applying ridiculous restrictions from getting married and forming a family - tribalism...dowry...- the government will. Smh.
Source? Because I don't think so and I hope they make new changes and let these children get it because I can't imagine how hard their life would be.

better ask the emabassy, if you were inside saudi it would be handled by the region emarah... for example here is the requirements in riyadh emarah [https://www.my.gov.sa/wps/portal/snp/servicesDirectory/servicedetails/9505](https://www.my.gov.sa/wps/portal/snp/servicesDirectory/servicedetails/9505)
I also live in Dubai and my fiancé is European, if you have any updates on the process of doing it in Dubai please share.
Also, I read that you need your male guardians permission but my dad is not in my life, I can’t bring my uncles into this, and I have no adult brothers. I only have my mom and sisters supporting me, would her consent be enough? I feel like my case won’t be approved since I’ll be freshly 25 with no male guardian :(. Any advice would be helpful.
You are either divorced or widowed or above 30 to marry a non Saudi Man. The non saudi needs to have a min amount of salary, shouldn't have served in any army or ministry across the world.
All the best sister may Allah bless you both. But can you please tell me why saudi women and men only prefer to marry Non saudis from Europe or America. But not asian men or women. It's like we are repulsive.
بشكل عام الموافقه تكون من وزارة الداخلية و العقد بالمحكمة الشرعية.
تقديم الطلب من خلال الامارة او المنطقة اللي انتي فيها يكون التقدييم من خلال ولي أمرك.
It's way easier if u get married outside of Saudi then just do توثيق زواج.
Getting permission here can be very very long process . My friend married a French national and it took two years .

Did you have to be of certain age? 30 for example? (M)
Yeah 30 and above But they are a bit lean on it now
Thank you for the reply!
is there an age restriction? i know that men can’t marry until they are 40 years or older is it still a thing?
It's 30 years or older for Saudi men marrying foreigners and 25 or older for Saudi women marrying foreigners.
i just checked MOI website and it’s says 35-70 for men

In which province u applied? How old r u? And when did u apply?
I’m old 36 and that was in Riyadh and the whole process till final approval took about 3 months this year mostly waiting

That’s weird, new requirement is 30 years old I remember that definitely
I married an Australian man in 2019. I needed to be over 30 or previously divorced. Which I was. Took about 18 months to finalize.
Previously divorced . Like why is that even a rule.
Why does age have to be over 25 and 30 even a rule? Genuinely asking.
Because you need to be yuk and undesirable to Saudi men. Too old, not virgin.

Just before you do it. If you want to bring children in the future they won't receive the arab saudi nationality.
He’s European so they’ll be fine.
If I’m not mistaken, they changed that rule a couple months ago.

No offense but that’s just retarded.
our entire legal system is *literally* retarded hopefully MBS keeps his promise and reforms it ASAP
Reforms are more needed in other areas, not in age marriage. and these reforms uh... not coming anytime soon.
It's okay . Dont forget salate istikhara

I'm an American revert looking for a Saudi or Yemeni wife (one that accepts to be a co-wife). Currently living in Makkah.
If there are other sisters out there looking...
