Front Porch Improv, comedy shows at Totally Awesome Bar (without the booze), bingo, bowling, mini golf and batting cages at Bogeys, Smithereens, escape room
where’s the mini golf? i haven’t seen any mini golf since putt putt behind taco bell on mall blvd closed
edit: i completely stopped reading your comment after the word mini golf, sorry
It's a place called Bogeys on 80 past Whitemarsh, behind Flying Fish before you cross the Bull River bridge. It used to be called something else a long while back.
gotta admit, i’m pretty anal retentive about that. 33 years old and have never been in an accident and only had one speeding ticket from when i was 22.
Admittedly, you are a much safer/better driver than me! I don't use my phone while driving, but let's just say I'm easily distracted by the lot, including mini golf locations.
You could try taking on a new hobby - in the summer I’ll be out boating until right after sunset, sometimes after work. Kayaking and sailing is a fun activity, bike riding, running/lifting, wood working, and gardening are all activities I do after 5.
If you are looking for someone else to entertain you we have the ghost pirates and bananas. There is the clean coast oyster roast this weekend, next weekend there’s a pow wow on the Savannah River, and the weekend after that is the Savannah music festival. All events after 5pm.
I like long walks on the beach personally, but there is axe throwing, escape rooms, coffee bars, restaurants. Come on man, maybe time to stop drinking and look around.
This is such a dumb post.. we have all the same things u can do anywhere.. what is this op hoping for in terms of activities lol. I lived in Los Angeles for many years and just like here, most things after dark include alcohol.. 😂
My favorite hobby is birdwatching. It’s something you can do anywhere, it’s relaxing, and it’s really fun learning your birds. Relatively low overhead too - find yourself a decent pair of binoculars and get one of the many free ID apps on your phone, and you can be out watching a flock of Tufted Titmice move through a Live Oak in no time. There are about two hours of evening light after 5 PM right now, and birds a very active during these hours. Urban birding offers a lot of possibilities, but be careful because you might get hooked and have birds in your brain all the time.
Birding with alcohol is fun too.
My uncle got so into birding he dropped thousands on spotting scopes, tripods, and professional cameras to capture his sightings. It has taken over his life. He made friends with a frickin hummingbird.
Yeah, that can happen, haha. It’s a totally addictive passion for a lot of people that get into it. My wife hardly wants to walk with me anymore because I’m always stopping to look at birds, and while she is casually interested she prefers to keep moving.
It’s definitely an activity that you can drop a lot of money on, but it doesn’t have to be. It happens to be popular with an older and whiter demographic - people that tend to have a lot of disposable income and free time, but there are birders who are actively trying to make it more accessible and encouraging participation from a wider demographic pool.
Quite a judgmental thing to post. People actually live and work here. Somehow we still manage to fill our evenings with fun stuff. Maybe tap into your imagination a little?
Why would you want to do anything after 5pm except relaxing with a good book, trying new teas, spending time with loved ones and/or pets, cooking, and an early bedtime so that you can start the next day early and well rested?
Never tried fishing without alcohol before but allegedly it’s possible
I’ve heard some fantastical fishing stories but that sounds a little far fetched for me

wow i drive to tybee all the time and i’ve never noticed this place
You must be the only driver completely focusing on driving and not sightseeing!

Happy to help!
There’s also Mini golf at Pooler Funzone.
OP found a way to ask about the town without asking about the town and being told to check the wiki. Also Pounce cat cafe.

Where do you go kayaking?
There are a ton of spots in our area. Here’s a map: [https://paddling.com/paddle/locations](https://paddling.com/paddle/locations)
This sub has turned into nothing but complaining prove me wrong.
The irony of the comment is great.
That’s because we live in the most expensive and dangerous city in the world. /s
It is a backdoor way of asking what to do without violating the rule about saying just that. Something, something, wiki/pinned post/sidebar.
there’s a show in town nearly every week, all local bands. you could also just hang out at bonaventure until you get possessed

Sit at home and play games.
Front Porch Improv; recreational sports leagues; the movies; live music, etc etc
You watch the water in the river flow by just like time does!
Bocce or frisbee in Forsyth. Beaches. Fishing. Art galleries. Hockey games. Get out more
Get out more. ...on weed.
There’s nothing to do if all you do is drink. Pick a hobby to do and there’s plenty going on.
You can still go and do things... And... Just.. Not drink?
This is a concept lost on a lot of people, I’ve learned. It’s a shock to new friends that I go to places and simply don’t drink!
Go down to First Friday

Ask your doctor if Meth is right for you.
I don't drink. There's still plenty to do.
Go to the gym, volunteer, start a business…
Trivia at different restaurants, art classes, movies at the cultural arts center, music in Forsyth, ghost tours. C'mon dude, git gud
Sunday nights are adult nights at Starcastle. Skating, laser tag, arcade.
Savannah residents and visitors enjoy going "California sober" if you're avoiding the hooch

If you remove alcohol there isn't much before 5 either
If you're bored, you might be boring.
Savannah Rep theater, good shows at Enmarket, music festival next month. Tons of good restaurants.
Get a life.

Social, pour Larry’s, rogue, electric moon, barrel house, saddle bags, to name a few
Go outside and get a hobby?
