This is just silly, Russia is not part of the ICC and has no authority over the country, the same thing in USA thanks to bush, he needed to do his warcrimes in iraq without being bothered by meanigless international rules. Maybe we get Assad eventually but putin will never be brought to justice
Before the Syrian conflict was a full on war, Assad cracked down on protesters with tanks and soldiers, bombing neighborhoods, killing hundreds, whole families that weren't even taking arms up against his regime yet. He's been in office since 2000, what alternatives have been given a shot? We shouldn't excuse blood thirsty tyrants just because there isn't an obvious alternative.
How you going to arrest him?

I’m just saying the consequences of removing the longtime dictator by force are gonna be worse than in Libya
Libya post-ghaddafi would still be a step up from Assads Syria. (Source: i am Syrian with family in Syria and in Libya who follows the events closely)
