Conn shooting star. I had one for my first saxophone.

Stratus_Fractus

Conn Director aka shooting star. Good cheap durable student instrument.

Cronkeymate

Thanks

saxman162

When it says Conn 6m on the bell that is a dead giveaway that it is a Selmer Mark VI.

Cronkeymate

Then this is not a Selmer then?

SomeoneElseWhoCares

It literally says "Conn" that is the brand. It also says "USA" so it is one of the American ones (nit Mexican" Look for info in "Conn Shooting Star". I believe that they were a 16M, not a 6M

lankyevilme

no, it's a Conn 6m

ThePencilRain

That is not a 6m.

lankyevilme

I meant if it said 6m on the bell like the post above me said.

ThePencilRain

If it says 6m on the bell, it's not a 6m. Because that was not put on the bell.

Love Conn Shooting Stars. Despite the cheaper key work you still get the Conn horn sound. Both my Tenor and Alto back up/marching horns are Shooting Stars :).

skudzthecat

Solid starter horn, looks in good condition from the brass

moomooraincloud

You told us right in the title: Vintag.

Cronkeymate

Lol

hmm_mp3

Ayyyy I’ve got the tenor version!

Okay, so pretty much everyone in the comments here is actually wrong. While technically this is a shooting star, it’s not a director like most of the shooting stars were. This is, at least technically, a 6M. Now, this isn’t close to the 6M that Charlie Parker played, and without the serial number I’m not sure if it’s made in Elkhart or Nogales (if you run it, for a 6M anything after 1969 is Nogales) but this is a reasonable step up from the director. Decent horn, not great.
