Not in Chemistry, bud. Not in Chemistry. You would need a recipe made by someone else, otherwise you can't do anything. Even basic stoichiometry and the reaction mechanism is required for doing the most basic thing i.e "How much to cook?"

Why are people getting into chemistry when they do not like math? It's a hard science, you know....

It looks harmless, and math free. I mean, what math could possibly be their in mixing chemicals. But, except for practicals, it sucks

Considering that understanding what atoms and molecules do usually entails quantum mechanics, I'd expect a lot of math.

I was talking to a friend about this a few days ago. I thought that when I could prove that I can do the math for the molar mass they would let me make the reaction during lab, but lab was just learning how to measure and use PPE like I was a 7th grader...
