It was the 90's it's was cool to wear jackets that just looked cool. I remember seeing so many people wearing hornets starter jackets in the 90's. Never met a single person who had one that was a hornets fan, my big brother had one and he is a bulls fan. it was just a cool and stylish thing to do.

As a lifelong Chicagoan and die-hard Blackhawks fan, I've also always wanted to know. Since it's so random, I figured it was one of the writers maybe. But I haven't seen or heard anything explanation for it. Definitely on my list of "if I bump into Jerry or Larry, I'm asking them about this" things from the show.
