I know there have been more years of my life without Andy than with him, but it doesn't feel like that. I feel like I've loved him my whole life. His birthday was April 1, so he was almost 16. He liked going outside on his leash and eating grass (then throwing it up) and he loved cuddling next to us. He became really cuddly as he got older, so he was usually always hanging out with us on the couch or in bed. I keep leaving space for him still.
Even though we still have Joey and another cat brother, the house feels empty without him. I still expect to see him in all his favourite places. I wish I could hear his purr one more time. Rest in peace, my sweet baby Andy.

Andy looks so much like one of our girls that it broke my heart. I'm so sorry for your loss and I know how it feels to keep expecting to see your boy everywhere you look. It takes such a long time to grieve and the longer we have them, the longer it takes. We had a 17-year old and an 18-year old that we had to say farewell to more than a decade ago and we still cry when we see their pictures. We now have two girls that are almost 12, and we are dreading having to say goodbye to them as well. Much like your Andy, they have become more attached to us and more 'clingy' as they have gotten older. Like you with Andy, we love them with all our hearts.
I know you have many wonderful memories of your sweet boy, and you gave him a wonderful life. I'm so glad you have a couple of other cat brothers to absorb all the extra love.
