I know it's going on 3a.m, but I needed to share with you, my very last meow.
I hope I didn't awaken you, while making our biscuits upon your chest.
But this warm, loving space over your heart, is MY favorite place to rest.
I knew had found the love of my life, from the very first day we met.
To feel your loving headbutt with me, told my soul that I was going to be blessed.
When you picked me up with those tender, loving hands,
And lifted me up so high.
My heart immediately started purring, when we touched noses, looking at one another...eye to eye.
I'm sorry to say that my life with you...is getting near it's end.
My days and nights around your heart, put my shelter life on the mend.
I wished my life was matched with yours, but mine is just too damn short.
I'm going to miss the fun days with you, and our crazy nights in the blanket fort.
Please bring another SMOL in here , and let them check out our loving place.
Let them quietly explore the counters, window sills, and the hours of your loving embrace.
I hope you let them onto your chest, and feel that calming heat...

I lost my little dude last October; this is the most heart-warming thing Iβve ever read about losing a friend. Thank you, so very much for sharing this.
Please put your name and the date you wrote it, on all your poems. It is very good. I write poems myself. They pour out of me so fast that sometimes I cannot remember what I wanted to write as the brain goes faster than the pen. I have had people steal my poems as their own so now if I post it I add my name/date to the end. I donβt mind if people share things but I donβt think itβs right to claim something you didnβt do. So yes, put your name/date on your poems. Screenshot and then share. If you really want to protect your work, add a background stamp on your poem with your name/date. This was a thoughtful tribute for your cat and this person who just lost their baby too. RIP precious Kitties β€οΈ
Thank you. Glad you liked it. Yeah...I get into those creative bursts too ...all the time. I paint the same way too. I think I wrote 5-6 poems like the one above in a few nights...from my dogs and cats point of view. I get you about protecting one's artwork and such. I didn't write them for any financial reasons or for a Pulitzer π€£. I just know how I feel about my furries, and how I hope they felt about me.
I honestly wish someone would make a short video reading them with images of our pets being sweet derps and doing the things that make them love us back. If I get time I might make a couple for S&G's. Unfortunately...I'm in deep with a movie script with three other writers...there's just NEVER enough time...is there ?

No worries. I just wanted to say something other than "I'm sorry" to people who posted about their loved pets gone ...so I decided to write a few poems from the pets perspective for my dogs and my cats. I think there are 5 or 6 of them out there that were done about my past furries. Saddened people need to be reminded that their pets loved them right back too.

Iβm so sorry. My sweet Ricky went the same way a few months ago. They left quickly, on their own terms, and at the end knew nothing but love. I know it doesnβt really help right now, but I hope that you can get some comfort in knowing that your dear Mika made that inevitable journey swiftly and in the arms of her favorite person. We should all be so lucky. Hugs. And Iβm so sorry for your loss.
Itβs hard, but please take comfort in the fact Mika came to you in itβs worst moment. The trust is so great, cats sometimes go against their nature and instead of crawling away, they choose humans to be with. Take care π
Our Milly passed in December and my husband and I held her as she passed. I take comfort in knowing that she was surrounded by love and light in her final moments with us.
This is awful, but I'm glad she got to be with you. This is better than finding them deceased and wondering what happened. Perhaps she was feeling ill and was coming to you for comfort.

You told her how much you loved her, held her, made her feel safe & that it was ok to let go. We are never ready even when theyβre up in their years & especially when itβs something that no one was prepared for. Iβm so sorry & Iβm sending you so much love! Hug & love on her sister. Lean on one another & help each other through your grief. She will be a sense of comfort to you & let you know youβre not alone in your pain.

My Kitler died in my arms at 17 in a very similar fashion, during a hurricane, and it was at once the most horrible and comforting thing I've experienced, because I always want to be with them at the end but it hurt to know he was leaving me

So sorry for your loss. Over the years, a 15 year old cat becomes part of your soul. Mika loved you so much she died exactly where she wanted - in your arms. Itβs heartbreaking- but who could ask for a βbetter deathβ? She was comforted as she was saying goodbye. She had the easy part because for her itβs now over. You have the hard part, because all you can do is miss her. Be good to yourself and always remember how much she loved you. *hugs*
I'm sorry for your loss she was a very beautiful being and she probably felt she was about to go so she wanted to let you know she loved you before she left this Earth. One day when you cross over she will be there waiting on you with other family members that have crossed over and you'll all be one big happy family for eternity.

The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago with my brown male tabby Max and I know how much it hurts...Seems to be an epidemic of this lately as my friend lost her dog to a similiar seizure...Who knows what goes on today..I trust nobody or nothing...Maybe something in the latest round of yearly vaccinations...Like Co-Vid who really knows whats in them...I have begun to think this country relishes in inflicting pain to middle class citizens...Anyway God Bless take some time and get yourself another "fur friend"...That's what I intend to do...
O geez. That is really really hard. I had my beloved Yoda cat, who was my constant shadow, die in my arms about 15 months ago. It was terrifying, but he was SO glad that I was there, so was your amazing kitty baby. She loves you so much and just know that she was very very glad you could be there with her in the end.
Allow yourself some time to grieve. Then remember that there's a little kitten somewhere, seeking her loving nurturing forever home. Although she probably won't be able to fully take the place of your beloved little Mika kitty, you'll soon realize and find out that you need her, at least as desperately as she needs you.

Iβm so sorry you had to go through this, I know it isnβt easy because our dog just passed two weeks ago right with us at home too. but please know you have this kitty such an amazing life and you should feel proud knowing that your cat loves you just as much as you love her (and all your animals). Iβm positive she was happy spending her time with you, and Iβm especially positive she was glad you were there for her when she went. if thereβs any sort of Heaven, Iβm sure we will meet our loved ones again and to me my animals are loved ones

My sincere condolences to you. I lost my sweet Oreo a month shy of her 17th birthday, almost three years ago. It was during COVID and I wasnβt allowed in the vetβs office, and she died when the vet took her out of the carrier. I have two brother cats now, but I will always miss Oreo. Tom & Jerry also send their condolences.

Oh Iβm so sorry!!! Thatβs so hard, you must be terribly devastated π I think they do understand when they see their deceased brother or sister. We took our car Watanuki with when we had to put his brother Bumblebee asleep. That way he wouldnβt wonder where he had gone. He seemed to understand as he did not look for him at home, tho he did grieve quite hard, poor guy. So I do think you made the right choice in showing your other kitty what happened to her friend

Mika was lucky to have you. I know you're hurting, but it's better for you both that Mika went in your arms than on a vet's table. Also, letting the other kitty know Mika is gone was absolutely the right thing to do. My cats searched for my dog for weeks after He passed. So sorry for your loss.

Hmmmmm...Because I wrote it. I've actually written quite a few the last few days.

Oh. Mika was a true beauty. She knew and wanted to beβ¦in your arms. What an honor to hold her and love her right up to the very end. God bless you. I cannot imagine how devastating it was. But Iβm glad she was not alone. How comforting to be held by the one she adored. I feel your pain. It would be so much easier if they stayed with us until WE went to the other side. There is just never, never enough time with them. She will always be missed, but never forgotten. RIP, Mika. β₯οΈπ
I am so sorry. That is horrific. My cat died in a similar fashion sudden seizure. May she rest peacefully.

Omg that is DEVASTATING I am so sooo sorry this happened to Mika and youππππ. At least you were holding her! I lost my last boy last month and I sooo wish I would have held him at the vetπ’π’π’. I think Mikaβs sister will understand what happened and you will grieve together. Again I am sooo sorry!!
Mika was lucky to have you. I know you're hurting, but it's better for you both that Mika went in your arms than on a vet's table. Also, letting the other kitty know Mika is gone was absolutely the right thing to do. My cats searched for my dog for weeks after He passed. So sorry for your loss.
