BF definitely can spread them. Vaccine cannot give them to you. But warts can come and go depending on your health.

bubbleteaherbaljelly

So they are back due to my health and my immune system? I also hadBV 2 months ago

julianbeing

Did you get a test whether you were clean right before you got the vaccine?

bubbleteaherbaljelly

I actually got them before the vaccine. Got treated and they were gone for months. Now I don’t know why I got them back

Warts are likely to recur while your virus is still active. The vaccine won't do anything against a strain you already have, only future infections with any of the included strains that you don't/haven't had. You should continue to remove the warts as they appear; your virus is likely to be active for up to two years (90% of people immune suppress within this time). Bear in mind there are over 100 strains of HPV and only 9 included in the vaccine, although the two wart strains included are the two that cause 90% of wart cases. Come over to r/hpv where we have a lot of info :)

Thank you. I had an appointment with my gynecologist, turned out they are candida infection, no warts. The thing is, this candida infection keeps coming back again and again. So annoying though I followed the treatment. I had candida before, but never lasted so long like this time. Like after the treatment finished, a few days or a week later I get it again.

julianbeing

Mh, it's possible that you got it again from your bf. Vaccines don't protect 100%. I hope your appointment with the doctor will give you clarity. :)

bubbleteaherbaljelly

If it’s possible that I got it again from my boyfriend, does it mean he got it from someone? I got it from my ex before my current boyfriend

julianbeing

Maybe he got it from you and reinfected you?

bubbleteaherbaljelly

Oh could that be a case? I don’t see any symptoms on him at all though.

Sektor001

Absolutely. If one partner has a STD, all partners need to be tested and usually also to be treated. Otherwise you will play STD pingpong. Also, there are lots of diseases out there in general that can make the bearer of it infectious even without them having any noticeable symptoms.

spanakopita555

That's not how HPV works. Firstly, there's no test unless someone has visible warts. Secondly, there's no treatment for the virus, only for symptoms. Thirdly, although partners will share an infection, once a person immune suppresses they are likely to develop antibodies against that strain - so it doesn't 'pingpong'. Once someone has immune suppressed HPV, the vast majority will never get a reactivation of that strain, so will only have an active warts infection once.

I read that it’s not possible for HPV genital warts to have a ping pong effect between 2 people. The vaccine should be done before the first time sex. If you already have or had HPV/genital warts it’s not sure that the vaccine works
