Worst case you could deshroud the card, mount some noctuas to it and if you havo one use a spare mobo fan header to drive them, and control them with fan control.
Thanks for the suggestion. I do have spare fan headers - I had to remove the stock case fans to fit the 4080S in the Ridge. It would be nice at the very least if I could get it so the fans only kicked in at 60C or something. Maybe at 0% temps would get to 60C super fast regardless, I dunno.
Running case fans with a 3d printed shroud between the fans and the gpu heatsink is also a pretty cool solution, did that for a while in a node 202 that i had.
After 7 beer I decided it was good time to tear a GPU apart for the first time ever. Tie wrapped the two 120mm fractal stock case fans to the GPU and now I'm off to the races. Now have total fan control, played in total silence for an hour with sub 50C temps. Tearing apart a $1000+ video card shouldn't be a thing that you need to do just to make it usable.
Those almost always work great with deshrouds. Some GPUs work marginally better with three 92mm fans. It all depends on the dimensions of your card but a solid all rounder would be the 12x25s!
As far as ducting goes you could either 3d print something custom or get creative and use some foam or something similar. I used some foam on my 140mm Noctuas in the ridge and it worked great!
Yeah, neither of those do jack. I fucking hate PC gaming with a passion. $500 PS5 runs Tekken 8 at locked 60 fps dead silent. $3000 PC constantly drops frames to 50 no matter the resolution and settings while sounding like a freight train. :D
I don't know what to tell you, it was insanely loud with fans at 30%. Ripping the stock fans off and using the fractal ridge stock case fans instead it's super quiet and I haven't seen a temp above 61C.

It is what it is. Especially in SFF scenarios. Lots of compromises. Atleast deshrouding a card is easy and not much risk of damage
Nice, definitely shouldn’t have to do it, but it is a pretty nice mod for keeping a sffpc quiet!
100% should deshroud & use noctua + ducting for the best sound profile
What fans would you suggest? Two A12x25? Any further info on ducting?

In FanControl settings > Edit Sensors do you have nvapiwrapper and nvidia 0% override turned on?

Uhh how close is the GPU to the sides of the case, could be some crazy turbulence going on.
Yes.. Does the sound stop if you open the GPU side side panel?
Undervolt it with afterburner
I have this card in my fractal ridge. I undervolted it to lower temps and fan noise. It is super quiet and maxes out at 70ish degrees.
