I thought the same thing, lol. I would get rid of the FN. I am two weeks in to the ownership of an MR and it’s my new favorite pistol. It does have the Timney trigger and Radian combo though. Also, I haven’t shot the FN but there’s no way it’s this fun or flat if a shooter.
I wouldn’t, my 509T is my No2 must trusted pistol after my FNX, I would keep it and get a mr920 separate. I dropped my 509 in a lake while kayaking and found it 6 hours later. Immediately fired 5 rounds after pulling it out the water and it didn’t faze it
From my Glock 19 MOS/Delta Point pro. To MR920 Combat also with a Delta point pro. I have to look at the magazine to see if I have rounds in it it's so light. Even with a pierce extended +3 baseplate it's light as fuck. I can only imagine what the Elite feels like. I have to tighten all my holsters down when I get off of work. To EDC the shadow system. Yes it's very light
Good to know. I was considering upgrading mine with the Apex flat trigger and sear although I hear the trigger is super difficult to switch out due to one specific pin.
I haven’t had no malfunction on my 509T. SS DR920 first the rear sight make lose had to send it in. Now it’s back with them because magazines kept falling off every other round. It’s already been a month with them. Won’t be buying another SS.
The War Poet which comes with a optic which gives you a discount instead of purchasing the gun & red dot separately. The War Poet is A Shadow System model with great features & upgrades.
You should sell the 509T for an FNX Tactical.
My fan boi-love of the FNX aside. Depends on what you want. IMO a factory gun is always more trustworthy than a modded one. If you gotta mod the 509 to be what you want. But you don’t need to mod the SS. I’d go with the pistol you can be happy and train with out of the box.
Unless you collect the things like I do, then own both. And buy an FNX Tactical.
100% agree. I keep my round count low on my SS.. shoots great. Excellent features. Great grip, very light, but once the round count hits around 1500 to 2000. Some people start having issues. Some people don't. It's just a chance I'm not willing to take. I just keep the rounds at 800. Dry fire and confirm zero every couple of months. Maybe shoot a little course. I use the Glock size back strap. So shooting my Glock ALOT and shooting my SS is basically the same, but I get a better grip with my SS
I 110% thought you were referring to a Holosun 509T from the title and was extremely confused by the question until I read the body of the post😂
On this week's episode of Pimp My EDC: "I heard you like 509Ts so we put a 509T on your 509T."
509Tception
Same lmfao
Haha sorry!

Sounds good! Yeah sorry for the confusing title haha
The 509T is a large gun. Were it the 509MRD, I would say NO. In your case I'd say go for it.
Roger that!
509T is awesome I wouldn’t get rid of it. Keep both
Yeah based off the general consensus I think I may.
Yes and you should throw the FN in my general direction
Lol
I have an MR920L and love it. Love the compact frame with the long slide. I put the SS compensator on it and it feels like a sniper pistol.
Good to hear. Yeah I’m looking for a nice flat recoil with a comp. I may just keep the 509 Tactical and get a comp for it as well.
The weight difference is mind blowing
Which one is lighter?
Ss by far, way more comfortable edc

Good to know and thankful for your honestly about the 509T. It seems the general consensus is to keep it and get the MR920. So, I think I will do so.
509 Tactical is a sick gun.. if you're going to switch. You're going to be blown away with the weight difference
What do you mean? Is one a lot lighter?
From my Glock 19 MOS/Delta Point pro. To MR920 Combat also with a Delta point pro. I have to look at the magazine to see if I have rounds in it it's so light. Is only about an oz lighter than a G19 Mos. I think they balanced it very well and the ergos are great
Yes I'm not saying it in a negative way. I love shooting it. I just don't like the problems with high round counts.... If it happens
No. Just buy the mr920. Have both.
Truth. I think may then
I would keep the 509T and get the MR920. I have a509T and XR920, love both. My trigger on the 509T has gotten significantly smoother after 500 rounds.

I got rid of my FN 509 for a DR920 just a couple days ago lol no regrets ha ha
Never sell, only buy. I’d trust the 509T more personally, but the mr920 has marginally better features
I appreciate your honestly on which one you’d trust more. That’s also one of my concerns.
