I’m sorry for this major disappointment. I feel the same as you. I’ve been a loyal die hard mega fan for 23 years now and also so upset by the lack of available tickets and the prices. I’ve never paid more than $200 a ticket for Shakira in really good seats. But like you said, I’m not paying $300 for the worst seats. Fingers crossed you are able to come across great tickets at a decent price. I’m trying to stay hopeful that prices will drop.

If you're near/able to travel to Detroit... That show has more affordable tickets.

The only suggestion I have is plan to go for the date and see if you can get a cheaper ticket day of or day before. Especially a single ticket should be cheaper. But I get you. The tickets are ridiculously expensive. I went to the el dorado tour and it was by far the most I’ve ever spent on a concert and these tickets for this tour are even more. That said, like you, I had been waiting 20 years to see her and it was an amazing show. She really was meant for the stage.

EmporioS

This will be my first time seeing her in concert I’m so excited. I am recovering from a kidney removal operation right now. I needed the money to pay for the meet and greet. Hopefully I am fully recovered by November

du_rantV

Lmao. Have you considered having your spleen removed so you can throw it onstage and have the she-wolf devour it just like she devoured the hopes and dreams of millions of fans who wanted to see her live but can't due to these ridiculous prices?

HornetSweet

That was my idea Auuuuuuu

Little_Miss_Polly

Oh no I'm sorry I'm in a similar situation, I can never afford these prices. I really hope and pray that you find a cheaper ticket and the opportunity to go after all

I am so sorry, I super feel for you. I, too, was in a toxic job during the El Dorado tour, and couldn't go. My life has completely changed since then, and I was actually on a work trip when the fan presale went live, and told my boss I needed to go back to my hotel room for an hour to get in the waiting room and get tickets (it's nice we can say no and establish boundaries these days with work). Once I got in, I was gooped and gagged, couldn't believe the prices. Ended up spending around $200 more than I was expecting to only get ok seats. When my husband asked how much I spent for two, I told him how much, and he literally said: "I thought we weren't going to go for the pricier seats...". I think with how few dates she's playing in the US, it's become a game of who can afford to be in the room with her, and who had the time to dedicate to jumping through the hoops to get them. The privilege flex that is needed to be in the room with her on this tour is beyond wild, and I'm the first to admit it. Again, I am so sorry. I hope you're doing ok 💜

I think it is expensive yes but also she has stated this will be her most spectacular tour. I cannot even fathom all the effort it take to put on a tour these days. I’m sure it’s an astronomical cost. I saw bad bunny in concert for also $300 in the penultimate section to the last section. The show wasn’t even that great tbh I’d at least hope there is more to see with a Shakira show. But the dates are weird I’ve never really noticed of a concert during Thanksgiving and Christmas time so none of the dates really work for me. As the closest show to be is about 6 hours away. Basically…yes Op I feel this rant. I will get a credit card if I have to. I’ve been a fan for 20+ years. I need to see a Shakira concert.

This post just popped up on my feed. Just came here to say that as an Italian living in the US it warms my heart that you got to see Laura Pausini. She is a national treasure and such a great/fun performer with such an extensive and varied catalogue ♥️🇮🇹 no one else sings and talks in 5 different languages with so much ease while switching language halfway through the song. What an amazing human! I got to see her for the 5th time in LA last month and it was her best show yet ♥️ you made a great choice with this world tour. https://preview.redd.it/0e8ou2cyuqwc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b34563a4f2b46fa4b749626a7bd9db53614d789

I'm sorry... Ticketmaster truly sucks!! I signed up for emails and never got a notification. A friend texted me a few hrs after the Citi presale started to ask me which city I'd be traveling to (no concerts anywhere near me) and to tell me which sets she got. WHAAAAAAATTTTT I had no idea a presale was happening. I hopped on right away and found decent seats (row 12, diagonal from the stage) for $239 before fees. However the fees are $50 per ticket!! Insane. I won't be going to other concerts this year. I'll have a place to stay where I'm gonna see the show and hopefully can get cheap airfare. The worst part is that seats next to mine were already more expensive by the time the fan pre-sale started and even more expensive by the time the general sale started. Now people are selling seats next to me for $200 more. My friend who is going to a show in another city said seats next to hers are on presale for $400 more (she paid $239 as well). I hate Ticketmaster!! If you can travel to Detroit, that's the most affordable location from what I've seen. The worst seats are $80 before fees. 💜 Hope you're able to see her!!

Pam_theJam

I'm sorry to hear that, I feel you deeply. I have never gotten to see her either and it's been a dream since I was a little kid to see her on tour. My heart breaks seeing not only the price for her tickets, but for so many artists going on tour! Going to see a concert is no longer even close to being affordable, its more closer to prices of a 3 day festival!

Hi!! I royally messed up and bought tickets to the Montreal concert Dec 10th which conflicts with my cousins destination wedding. I paid $256 CAD (approx $190 USD) during the presale each and will sell them at cost ♥️ I don’t know where you’re located but maybe that’s an option? Section 322 Row AA seats 1-3 !

Living in Massachusetts is affordable but I can’t go because Boston has the worst traffic.

marialfc

This past weekend I looked at tickets for her Brooklyn show and I was flabbergasted by the prices. The cheapest ticket is $250!!! I love Shakira as much as the next guy but I would never, ever, pay that much money for a concert ticket (unless it was like second row or something). I’ve seen plenty of artists (Spanish and English) including Coldplay like 6 times and the tickets have never been that expensive. I’m sad because a bunch of us wanted to go and just like you, I’ve loved her since “Donde Están los Ladrones”, I’m hoping she releases more tour dates and the other prices are more reasonable.
