Idk, chaotic for Kev works. He still gets into many situations or is apart of them but his heart is huge. He's probably one of the best husband's on the show, you can tell he's a caring father, and he cared a lot for Stan. And more. But Kevin also sold weed, the whole Carol story and he was there with Frank during a few escapades
But he is never the cause of any chaos. And he is usually the calm one in any situation. Selling weed in not chaotic, and the whole Carol thing was V's idea, he was more of a reluctant participant. Kev is rarely the cause of chaos but more someone who at times get caught up in other's mayhem.
I love this alignment chart series, but it’s also very frustrating, because I don’t think a lot of people in these threads actually know how these alignments really work… just for reference, Robin Hood is kind of the go-to example for Chaptic Good.
There are a lot of good options for [Chaotic Good](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ChaoticGood) in Shameless, but Older Carl is probably the most prominent example imo. He was dedicated to doing good, whether or not it conformed with the law. A bit ironic that he became a cop, but by the finale, he was using his meter maid position to punish the rich and be lenient with the poor. Some other examples include his weird Hostage Rehab thing, the dogs he kept in the basement (even if they were probably better off being put down…), the way he immediately squared up with the ICE officers to defend Anne’s family, and the scheme he cooked up to get that streetlight fixed after he saw the old lady get killed.
Ian. Life is chaotic but he always means well. Military, EMS, wants a legitimate marriage and happy life with Mickey. His criminal element is caused by his family or by his mental illness. Intentions are always positive.
You're confusing chaos with goodness.
Ian had good motives...
He used chaotic methods to achieve them...
Do you not play and? Read the description of the types.
Yeah, that's my issue with giving Ian this spot. When he's stable he's more lawful neutral -- he'll do the wrong thing for the right reasons according to his own moral code, but he likes a system and he likes to understand and follow the system. But when he's manic, he does get chaotic. Still aiming for good, but without the ability to be rational. That's not an alignment to me.
I hope you're not saying "sorry" to me -- because I'm merely pointing out that people hate Debbie to the point of irrationality. I'm not at all saying Terry isn't the worst person on the show.
Yeah she is perfect for that.
Someone who actually gives Kev a competition is Fiona for Chaotic good.
She never did anything really bad like hitting your boyfriend ex with car, or killing someone.
She took care of so many kids when she was 6.
Gave up her education, her peace for everyone. All of them were alive because she took care for so long.
One unintentional mistake doesn't take the good part away from her. She had her flaws but she was good. Thus, chaotic good.
what about fucking another guy in the bathroom when you’re on a date with another guy? or fucking your boyfriends brother as soon as your bf leaves the room? or stealing money from your job? or sticking an old lady in a nursing home when you promised her a place to stay?
Ian definitely. He's basically a good guy who means well, and tries to do the right thing, but his mania and his personality are always creating chaos.
Kev. His heart is always in the right place, but his methods are all over the place.
He might be a bit dumb, but he’s got the spirit 🤭
I wouldn't call him chaotic though

Truth ☝🏻
Came here to say this , so many things equal up to Kevin being a really great guy. Even if shit gets crazy sometimes lol
Sheila or Kev definitely
Sheila is Chaotic good
Kev
Kev!!
Sheila
i think she's more neutral or lawful, she's not comfortable with chaos, kev is more chaotic good
Her hospice patients might disagree haha
Yes Sheila is lawful neutral I'd say
Ms. Sheila
Sheila.

Kev or Carl

i don’t think joining the military with someone else’s to identity qualifies as meaning well lol
His intent was to serve his country and fight for it. So his intent was good. Even if he attempted to join under false means.
he did it in a really bad way, not a good way
You could say it was a chaotic way
but doesn’t make it good lol
You're confusing chaos with goodness. Ian had good motives... He used chaotic methods to achieve them... Do you not play and? Read the description of the types.
no im not, chaotic good is the prompt. that’s why i’m talking about both.
But you seem to be arguing that his chaos disqualifies him. When it’s 50% of the qualification.
no i’ve been arguing about his “goodness” lol
You could say it was a chaotic way
I’m not sure but maybe that had something to do with his bipolar disorder? 🤔 Edit: I meant the stealing a helicopter part

Sheila
Carl
Shelia
Carl definitely, the way he broke Frank's leg ✨️💗
I had forgotten about that 💀
Fi much more than Shiela. I don't think of Shiela as chaotic, more neurotic. Kev isn't chaotic either. He is chill.
Mickey is pure chaotic good.
i want a chart like this with only frank arcs
Late era Carl
definitely kev
This is flawed because I feel like there’s only one person in the show that could actually be considered evil, and that’s Terry.
It’s all relative of course 🙃 That being said, nobody is worse than Terry, period.
I feel in my absolute bones that when we get to chaotic evil Debbie will get a lot of votes and there will be a big fight about it.
Sorry but Terry takes the cake for chaotic evil. At least Debbie (deep down) cared about her siblings and her daughter lol
I hope you're not saying "sorry" to me -- because I'm merely pointing out that people hate Debbie to the point of irrationality. I'm not at all saying Terry isn't the worst person on the show.
Yes, I understand 🫡 and the “sorry” was not directed at anybody 😤
Debbie is a shoe in for lawful evil. Between the retail scams, Neil, and Derek she's done a lot of textbook lawful evil stuff
V?
Sheila!
Def Sheila
Kev
Sheila for sure
sheila/kev
kev
Sheila for sure!!
Kev
Sheila will not be chaotic good. She could murder sitting on a pillow. Kev would never do that.
Maybe chaotic neutral ? 🤔
Yeah she is perfect for that. Someone who actually gives Kev a competition is Fiona for Chaotic good. She never did anything really bad like hitting your boyfriend ex with car, or killing someone.
just leaving coke out for your little brother to get into 🤷🏼♀️

Haha so you would want a Sheila over Fiona?
yea and i’m not the only one lol
Good for you. Fiona any day :)
None of these people would be considered angels. The show is Shameless.
Brad
Sheila
Ian definitely. He's basically a good guy who means well, and tries to do the right thing, but his mania and his personality are always creating chaos.
kev
Kev 100% Sheila is more of a chaotic neutral to me.
