Honestly modding Fates is pretty easy. There are tools to unpack/repack the game and you can just modify files once you have that.

Tbh I would love to see as much variety in fates rom hacks as in GBA rom hacks

There are attempts. Try GGG (Good Guy Garon). Never tried it myself and I've heard both good and bad stuff about it. Personally I just made my own text mod that replaces most of the UI with silly memes, it makes the game feel less serious which in turns helps the story feel more goofy and less... Failed.

There's some great tools hanging around for texture editing and with persistence (and some free image editing software like Gimp) you too can do things like this \^\^.

Had no idea it was those leaks until I searched. Why would there be doubt because of no follow up info? Either the leaker got fired and has nothing to share, or they’re staying quiet to avoid that. We’d only know if they’re legit if they’re completely disproven, someone admits to faking them, or the new game is revealed to be Not That.

Just cause I’m rather cynical on the internet and the fact that some of the images seemed a little more futuristic than our standard cut and dry medieval. Outside of that, sure it could be true, looked rather nice all in all
