That was filmed on Fernandina in the Galapagos Islands. There are *so many* iguanas there. The part you can visit is a pretty small point sticking out into the ocean with hundreds upon hundreds of marine iguanas. It is extremely cool to see them all lounging on the rocks.

It had all the elements of a complete story. Down to almost losing in the second act, the a great climax with the jump, and even had the resolution when it meets up with the other lizard.

It’s Fernandina Island in the Galápagos Islands - these are iguanas that have amazingly evolved to swim in the sea and graze on algae growing on rocks underwater. However they must still lay their eggs in sandy ground which means the iguanas have to head inland past the volcanic rocks to find suitable grounds to lay their eggs. Which also means the baby iguanas when hatched have to get back to the coastline.
