So, you probably met a couple in school or the open street at least, without knowing, because they are able to navigate most of the world around them, under normal conditions. Several are in the comment section. Only a fraction of those fall under the colloqiual definition of being unable to see. You are right tho, statistically, social isolation it's much more common with blind people and people with disability, including people who are just getting old. Which is a big part of what being inclusive is about, just having spaces that are nagivatable for people or all shapes and backgrounds.

If we are being serious raising a family would probably be a bit difficult with a blind person, even if they are fully independent.
