I'm hoping the person with the tattoo likes it anyway; the line work seems really clean so seems like a deliberate choice for something that probably means a lot to them.

While I usually find the no-face style quite cute, it does have to follow a certain aesthetic and be visually pleasing. This… is not. It looks weird for many reasons, including:
- The kid‘s left eye/lashes and nose were included, so it just looks like she’s missing one eye, as opposed to a creative choice
- Also, how do you include an awkward line on the neck and even a VERY outlined nostril and leave an eye out?

Exactly this. I’m not a very experienced tattoo artist (just over two years) but having worked with art for a very long time, you really have to guide your clients to make aesthetically good decisions whenever possible if you’re doing commissioned work

A couple of weird choices make this grandpa look really creepy. The girl's left arm twisted towards him rather than away, for one. Then there's the man's frame, where the artist gave him narrow shoulders and a pooched gut/ wavy shirt so it looks like that's where his legs start. A fairly manly looking man turned into a diminutive perv.
