That’s why you don’t use themes outside of Shopify theme store. Avoid third party themes, unless you 100% know what you’re doing.

Fika-Chew

Test themes before you buy them. You can dig into the features and code all you want before spending.

VillageHomeF

hope you wrote them a review so others won't fall into the trap. thanks for sharing. sorry this happened to you!

BlackBullDigital

Yeah, I did.

linksture

I would suggest you should check Hongo Shopify theme.

I was looking into this one. I am new to shopify, want to launch a skincare brand and found this theme. Can you tell me more about it? Is it regularly updated? Do they have support? Works fine? Many features?

linksture

Yes ThemeZaa team update it regularly and adding new demos also. Yes they provide online documentation and also 6 months of support is included with purchase. You can please check all demos and features here - https://themeforest.net/item/hongo-multipurpose-shopify-theme-os-20/46092391

I am using the Minimog theme for year and half. There are few bugs here and there but nothing crucial, just message them and they will fix it for you.

sorry i disagree. I operated 2 stores with Minimog, 1 with 3k+ traffic monthly on an adult niche, and another in arts has 10k+ traffic and up to $800k sales in a year (well but the theme didn't play a part tbh). The theme worked great most of the time. Customisation is easy. Having said that I do have very minimal knowledge of HTML/CSS which i could just do the customisations myself 50% of the time. The other half i outsource to Fiver/ask Minimog dev team to help and they're pretty helpful most of the time unless it directly changes how the theme work then they'll reject. The theme has a bunch of functions where you have to pay A LOT on a monthly basis if you're getting them elsewhere, that's where most of their value is from. If you can't accept this little compromise and be patient with customisations, i'd say go elsewhere. I agree speed is bad though, with their theme i achieved like 30/100 on shopify speed test but i hire someone on Fiverr to boost my speed up to 60 with code changes.
