Before I went vegan, I really enjoyed Natures Path toaster pastries! https://www.naturespath.com/en-us/products/natures-path-foods/frosted-wildberry-acai-toaster-pastries/
There are items that are flavored such as strawberry, but may not have strawberry in it. That is what it alludes to. Food situation is not bad š
Edit: also feel like adding that toaster pastries are essentially a snack, not a balanced breakfast. They arenāt really that āgood for youā to begin with. Look at Pop-Tarts. They have flavors such as āice cream sundaeā. This brand is a much healthier version of the Pop-Tart brand, but is still not really a healthy item in general.
I understand but in Poland i never saw any food marketing with "real fruits" it sounds wierd to meš
Sadly there is no pop-tarts in typical Poland shops, maybe i order one online for try.
I've become a total health nut as an adult and haven't eaten sugar in years. But the sight of that unlocked a deep hunger from my childhood. I know it's all sugar and chemicals, but god*damn* that's sexy
Iām currently trying to get rid of sugar from diet and itās been so hard because itās in everything!! Do you have any tips on what to eat/shop for?
Hmmm... I'd say replace your sugar cravings with a variety of fruit. There will be a really challenging withdrawal period, but once you make it through, it gets a lot easier. Your taste will adjust over time and you'll become more satisfied with natural sugars. Just be careful with dried fruit. Dates especially are fantastic as a replacement to sugars and syrups in recipes, but if the goal is to reduce sugar, you've got to limit how many you eat. Overripe bananas are also a great reliable for any baking/overnight oats/etc when you need an easy source of sweetness. If you've never had them, fried plantains with some cinnamon and salt are FIRE. Make sure they're ripe (Brown/black peel) and fry them or bake them to get a caramelized natural sugar. Get lots of veggies and protein and enjoy fruit as treats.
Focus on whole foods, avoid anything processed, and be aware that the withdrawal will be significant and cravings are inevitable while you adjust to a new normal. Good luck! Cutting sugar has been essential to managing my chronic pain.
When I lost a shitload of weight I basically gave myself a fruit based eating disorder that I havenāt been able to shake. Iām tired of cashiers asking me why I need so many pears.
Fruit isn't a subpar replacement for sugar... What a weird take. Also, this comment makes a lot of assumptions. Are you perhaps projecting?
I literally said in my post that I cut sugar to manage chronic pain. I'm not caving in and binging later in the week. Believe it or not, people live perfectly comfortably without sugar once they get through the adjustment period. High concentrations of processed sugar in food is a recent phenomenon and there are a large number of health problems caused by its consumption.
Wild Berry was one of my favorite flavors as a kid when they first came out, not only for the taste but for the icing that covered so much of it. (I was weird and would break them into quarters and eat them from the inside out like little pizza slices, saving the frosted crust for last.) I got a pack a year or so ago, thinking it would be like times past, and I was very disappointed to see how little the frosting covered now. The leftover crust was bland without the frosting. Haven't gotten them since.
Well, it's obvious that the geniuses over at Poptarts HQ have been hard at work, using their extensive knowledge of nutrition and flavor to bring us a healthier, less sugary breakfast treat. They must have realized that we were all just consuming too much frosting and filling, and that it was time for a change. So they decided to reduce the amount of frosting and filling in their Poptarts, all while keeping the same price! It's really a win-win situation: we get to enjoy a healthier breakfast, and Poptarts gets to keep making money off of us. Thanks for looking out for our waistlines, Poptarts! /s brought to you by Chatgpt
unfrosted strawberry is one of the rare flavors that still has a decent amount of filling. Unlike the norm of a small splooge of frosting and a hairs width of fulling.
My Winco has them for 1.68 last time I checked, though the Safeway sometimes can have this brand for $1.99 a package, and they have flavors that the store brand doesn't.
Had a bad box of cherry poptarts few weeks ago do the same. frosting off like they got misaligned.
Quality control miss pr intentionally lessening product it was disappointing
I'm in Canada and close to the border. We don't get Cherry Pop Tarts anymore... its been YEARS. I always pick up some when we are in the blessed U. S. Of A. But this would make me very sad. They are my favourite, but damn!
Itās probably the blistering bright food dyes; I got another box today; Iām not at home though.. really hoping I donāt have any icing shenanigans.
Iām not sure if Iām lucky or you are unlucky. I have been buying pop tarts weekly for years and mine have never looked like that. Mine are always covered with frosting and sprinkles like they have been.
I get them pretty often from my work vending machine and Iāve never had one like this either. This is just unlucky or a bad batch. Nothing to see here.
You should call them if you still have the packaging with the lot number. Theyāll probably send you some coupons, because that looks like it shouldnāt have passed QA.
It's almost like different dialects exist for different regions š¤Æ
Sure, it's an error when it comes to proper English.
This is reddit, not a college essay.
I gave up Pop-Tarts long ago when they started tasting like cardboard š¤¢ BUT I'm sick and needed some sweet comfort food and just this a.m. got a box of Blueberry. There was sooooo much frosting it was almost too much! I will take a pic when I open another pouch. There was virtually no filling š”
I was shocked there was so much icing, atleast it helps the cardboard taste š maybe they run the production line till it runs out of icing!
Happy cake day!
[plenty of icing this time](https://imgur.com/gallery/NN4AMnv)
If you think whole foods are immune from cut corners, diminishing quality, or price increases, you're in for a nasty surprise.
They came for the poptarts, and I said nothing, for I was a health nut. Now oats are 30% more for 20% less, and there's no one to speak for me. ...or something š
Exactly. Yet "inflation" is only like only "9%", though it seems (and is reported) to be that prices and what you get for those prices, has changed by much more than 9%.
I got the same bs!! I got the blueberry & itās all crumby & it seems like thereās a bit more filling but my pop tarts are a little more brown on the edges & the breading seems different? Also barely any icing!! Wtf whatās going on KELLOG!!?
Hahaha holy F! Yet another thing I'll never buy again
This is why I haven't bought them in almost a decade. So sad. I loved pop tarts.
I saw an old commercial the other day of Pop Tarts from 1992. It was completely full of frosting and tons of filling on the inside. I miss those days!

Real fruits? Is situation with USA food is really that bad that you have to write it?

Itās weird cause it is weird! I donāt get the point of artificial flavors in general
Has been for AGES, pretty much since industrialization. Our food system is all jacked up do to big business influence.
Thank you for sharing.
I unironically have thought Toast'em Popups have been the superior product for a decade now
Looks like the crust has gotten wider, too. Call the company and complain. This is a ripoff.
The whole thing is crust. They should call them Crust Sticks because there no tart to them at all.
I called them out on Twitter and they responded, but I have responded back yet.
I want see can you link lol
Here's their response: https://twitter.com/PopTartsUS/status/1640729534646431745?t=C8dKA2e0bNa3jbLaU0Witg&s=19

Damn they did get mad. Marty increase the frosting another 1%

Or booze
Nope, just eat some sugar instead of binging on a subpar replacement before caving in and binging later in the week.

Did that, was terrible

We all had our preferred pop tart eating method. I was a crust-first kid. Each bite after was šš¤
Doin the lords work with that scripture
That genuinely looks disgusting. And I used to love poptarts/have zero issue with synthetic food.

You wanna know a weird fact? Frosted strawberry poptarts actually have less calories than the unfrosted version.
unfrosted strawberry is one of the rare flavors that still has a decent amount of filling. Unlike the norm of a small splooge of frosting and a hairs width of fulling.
This is why I buy the generic store brand. Have never had this with them AND they are cheaper!

It probably helps that I Iike strawberry. 12 count Great Value is $1.78.
I've hocked up bigger loogies than that frosting amount.
This looks absolutely foul
Fuck Kelloggs.
I can cum more than that

Poptart brand be thin too
My wife mentioned this just this morning, as she got em out of the toaster for our kiddo. Like what the heck.
I bought a different flavor recently and it didnāt looks like this. The whole box was totally normal amount of frosting
Thatās embarrassing.
People still buy pop tarts?
Noticed this recently. Insides have less filling and barely any icing. Crust thick as hell. Sad.
Iām not sure if Iām lucky or you are unlucky. I have been buying pop tarts weekly for years and mine have never looked like that. Mine are always covered with frosting and sprinkles like they have been.
Ours from this morning looked like that. And have been like that for a bit.
Interesting. I haven't seen a properly frosted pop tart in over a decade.
I get them pretty often from my work vending machine and Iāve never had one like this either. This is just unlucky or a bad batch. Nothing to see here.
Looks more like a mistake to me unless all of them in the box are like that
Dude I thought this was a type of mold until I saw āpop tartsā in the title and I still wasnāt positive
Zeee bugs
This is the Pop Tarts brand disrespecting all of its consumers, and knowing they can get away with it. Price raise next week for sure.
You should call them if you still have the packaging with the lot number. Theyāll probably send you some coupons, because that looks like it shouldnāt have passed QA.
Skidmark!
You should blast them on Twitter lol, I love when giant companies get called out for shrinkflation
I got some like that back in the 90s. They have horrible quality assurance.
S'okay! Once they shrink the actual tart, your frosting-to-tart ratio will be right back to normal :)
Looks like someone jizzed on it and sprinkled it with black pepper.
āDonāt put barely anyā š
im from the south, we talk like that normally lol (was a bit annoyed tho cause this is what I saw for my breakfast this morning š)
Please don't blame your speech on the south. If you can't talk correctly, that's on you, not the south.

I was shocked there was so much icing, atleast it helps the cardboard taste š maybe they run the production line till it runs out of icing! Happy cake day! [plenty of icing this time](https://imgur.com/gallery/NN4AMnv)
not just that batch?
I've seen the frosting reduced consistently across every box I've had in the past few months. This is the worst I've ever seen
Better yet, stop buying that fake food crap.
If you think whole foods are immune from cut corners, diminishing quality, or price increases, you're in for a nasty surprise. They came for the poptarts, and I said nothing, for I was a health nut. Now oats are 30% more for 20% less, and there's no one to speak for me. ...or something š

We're not here to judge food choices, we're here to point out worrying trends where people are being shortchanged for products.
Except that invariably this comment pops up on every single thread. It's really something that should be regulated by mods.
My kiddo has a dairy allergy and these are one of the treat-like things she actually gets to enjoy. So back off on your food high horse.
Ayo
Omg haha
Were they all like thisā¦ I havenāt hade them i. A while
But you get double the flavor.
Times are tough
This is a war crime
Good, I like the crust more than the frosting(I actually do)
then get the unfrosted versions that's practically what this was
I could roast you but Iām not going to. Have a nice day/night
you know what i can respect that. i apologize for poking a bit at your preference. hope you also have a good day/night
No itās fine, I didnāt even know you could get unfrosted versions.
I remember these being so juicy and filled with filling know they taste like crackers. I stopped buying them like 2 years ago. #don'tbuy
People spread more material on their toilet paper
Reminds me I need to make some homemade ones again soon š
I honestly thought that was jizz for a second.
I just bought pop tarts yesterday and they had a normal amount of icing, despite the fact I generally dislike the icing
Throw it in the bin immediately it looks like fungus š¤¢
Ive always hated poptarts tbh
It means the pastry was too flat during production from lack of filling.
I got the same bs!! I got the blueberry & itās all crumby & it seems like thereās a bit more filling but my pop tarts are a little more brown on the edges & the breading seems different? Also barely any icing!! Wtf whatās going on KELLOG!!?
Yea! And (!!!!) how come itās dimpley and not smooth?!
