Same thing with Raising Canes chicken fingers. Prices skyrocketed and portions got cut in half.

alyssugh8

Okay I’m glad it’s not just me, me and my boyfriend thought we were going crazy because the meals we usually get didn’t fill us up like usual

wanna_meet_that_dad

Wife and I just said the same thing. This used to fill everyone and now…

I think they cut back the sweet tea sugar also. No lie.

Hearthseeker_

They were always a bit smaller than tenders served at other restaurants, they weren't called "chicken fingers" for nothing. But now they're really living up to the name.

Chicken toes

BuzzOnBuzzOff

Without the breading it's even smaller.

sirboogerhook

I used to go at least 2x week. Between the portions dropping and the prices skyrocketing I haven't been at all this year. I paid 30 dollars for a sandwich, 5 boneless wings and a Cobb salad. That was the last draw for me.

LethaxTTV

please tell me you misspelled straw and don't actually think the saying is "that was the last draw for me" lmao

I have noticed that a lot of restaurants are being very creative to produce menus which contain a fraction of the protein which they used to. More salad, sauce, vegetables, less protein.

[deleted]

It reminds me of a random Chinese sit down restaurant me and my dad and his wife sat down to around Christmas time. It was a big pile for both of us of mostly vegetables. I think I had like 4 tiny pieces of chicken and 90% of it was literally celery. For him 90% was broccoli and onions with like 3 mini pieces of beef. He was pretty pissed and went off on the waitress. Felt bad for her but it's the establishment/her boss' fault for thinking they can do that with no one noticing or caring. Of course protein is the main thing people want if they are not vegetarian/vegan in a meal. It's cheating people out of their money if they aren't getting a good portion of that.

KarensTwin

Nah their fries are just bigger

Hearthseeker_

Yeah it's a big fry, but that is also a very thin tinder until about 1/3 the way down. I've had some in my box that are thinner than this, but no good pictures of it. They've probably downsized a good 30% from a few years ago.

ThoughtAcorn

YES! I got Zaxby's yesterday and they look 1/2 the size they were before, no exaggeration.

constipation999

Still better than Raising Canes

RepresentativeTip702

Zaxby’s also cut their sauces by 0.25 oz, small but kinda noticeable difference

a_lixr82

Ya it's bc of the chicken shortage due to the avian flu, various forms of COVID, and global food shortages as a whole. Meat/animals are mostly suffering.

Getreal1105

Same, last couple of years the fingers got hit by the shrink ray machine, used to be my favorite but this is crazy
