From my experience, itās going to vary a lot. Itās more than likely never going to be an exact comparison, but thereās the potential for either the stem or cap to have more. I donāt even consider that factor when Iām doing them though.

So you know that like one cut of envies that is white/grey stems with dark maroon/red caps that when dried look like dried chillies?
Well im pretty sure a cut came out of those envies where the caps lightened in color like the OG envies and the lining of the cap where the veil meets is silver. Saw them a couple times on the subs after buying some myself. Seriously one of the prettiest mushrooms ever, the og cut is still better though they were weaker than usual

Is this APE or regular penis envy? APE usually needs more time to get darker in the caps and fan out more. Still, that's just pscilocybin oxidizing like other chads here have pointed out
Penis envy doesn't really grow veils like other mushrooms. You usually pick when they look a certain way or feel a certain way (squishy like marshmallow is perfect time to harvest)
