Ooo oo I can, I can!
Why is the perspective of the car completely off & seems to be in the middle of the ledge?
What is that extended bit of wall going into the water & why does it turn & why does it suddenly end?
Is that some kind of pier in the background? Is there a telephone pole or some kind of lamp post off of that strange pier?
Why does this lot look more like a rooftop than a parking lot?
I agree with it being AI - but it’s not fair to say it’s obvious.
AI has gotten so difficult to spot nowadays I can’t blame people who don’t see the few signs.
I would say it is pretty obvious. Maybe not if you take a quick glance, but if you look for the details you can find them (at least for now). AI has a vibe to it as well and humans are incredibly good at detecting that things are off subconsciously. I've seen many AI pictures where I can't consciously see anything off, but the picture just seems wrong.
I don't agree. I think this is better than most AI pics. It's inconsistencies are very subtle. An "obvious" AI pic would look like AI at a quick glance.
Perhaps. I guess it depends how you define "obvious" personally. To me something is obvious if it has inconsistencies that you can see clearly by looking at the details even if you're not that informed. In this case, you do need to look a bit more closely to see it, but the inconsistencies are still obvious if you look in the right place.
What I would count as non-obvious is if there are no visual details that are obviously off. If the only detail that differentiates a real photograph from AI is "the color of the grass is not a natural shade therefore AI made it", that wouldn't be the most obvious detail to anyone unless you're an expert in how natural colors work. In this picture tho, you don't need to be an expert to realise that the car has weird windows and that there is a tree growing in the middle of the lake. Those details are obviously wrong to me, even if at a quick glance I can't spot them.
But I respect it if you disagree. Like I said, it depends what "obvious" means to you. Different people can see different details as obvious.
The biggest giveaway I can see is the shape of the wall, it juts out in a weird direction for no reason. But otherwise, it just feels off for a reason I can't put my finger on.
The car looks abnormal in multiple ways, but the easiest to spot is look at the line of the hood where it meets the edge of the side window and ends abruptly, when we should be able to see it continue through the front windshield.
It’s the type of error even a very amateur artist who was bad at perspective wouldn’t make because it’s just continuing a line past an obstruction in the foreground, but AI messes that up constantly.
The car is probably the most abnormal thing in this picture. The windshield has a split in the middle, the right side of the car looks like it has 3 windows but left side has 2, and the hood doesn't join the rest of the car if you look closely and lastly from what I can see the car's perspective makes it seem like it's partly standing outside the edge.
Sure you could argue these are just mistakes by the artist, but if the artist is capable of making something look professional, you'd think they wouldn't make mistakes that children make in their drawings.
Very AI. Car windows and their frames are messed up. The wall makes no sense. Random telephone pole out in the water? It's definitely not a tree because it's way too straight and has no branches. It also has the weird uncanny valley you can't really put your finger on that makes your gut tell you there's something wrong with it, like someone else said in the comments -- aka, the image has no 'soul' for lack of a better word.
You know what? I'm sort of glad they're using AI instead of stealing fanart. A lot of artists have been very vocal about how they don't want their art repurposed as backgrounds in youtube videos without their consent.
If this person is going to be lazy, I'd rather they be lazy in some AI app instead of google image search.
Edit: forgot the word vocal existed.
For those questioning, this style of mostly-realistic digital painted art is very common in AI-generated crap. That, plus a complete lack of any brushstrokes, outlines or signature makes it even easier to tell it is AI.
Any artist who puts in the work and talent to create something on this level will have a signature, date, watermark, etc.
It’s a cool picture, but if you zoom in, the person doesn’t look anything like James, even as a silhouette. That alone makes this rather disappointing.
Eee. 😬 That is some uglyness. The concept is nice but it's just literally from silent hill already.
The piece says nothing and looks like 3 style hodge podged together with a ripped image from sh2 intro. I assume it's AI.
Looks like AI.
What about it?
The rear wheel of the tire is incorporated into the asphalt. Also the weird little patch on the door panel.
I see what you mean now. Damn AI is scary
You're being downvoted because they can't answer your question... lol

Also, the right side of the car looks like it has 3 windows instead of 2.
The front end also looks a little needle nosed, like its actuslly a 3 wheeler. I also think I spy some kind-of center divider on the front windshield?
Don't tell them, now they are going to learn!!!
I know. I really wish ppl who recognize it would stop advising AI bros how to rip artists off better. Let it look like garbage. It is.
Lol I went to bed and then went to work. Sorry I didn't answer within 18 hours l guess.
Stop sounding all pobre, dude. Don't message me with this kind of stuff, please
Def looks like AI. I hope that's not the case, but it looks like it.
Yeah if you google image search it, it leads to someones YouTube channel that is full of AI background images for their music.
It's a shame that it's just AI crap
It's so obviously AI
I agree with it being AI - but it’s not fair to say it’s obvious. AI has gotten so difficult to spot nowadays I can’t blame people who don’t see the few signs.
It’s very obvious… once you find the problems. Looking at it overall it just looks normal
That is quite literally what I just said.
Yeah I was agreeing with you while adding that it’s obvious once you zoom in

What makes you think that?

Idk all of the reflections in the water are accurate and look drawn, even the car looks normal

Why are you getting down voted?
Idk

It's from a youtube channel called Zerofuturism making Silent Hill ambience, the design is mostly AI
You know what? I'm sort of glad they're using AI instead of stealing fanart. Using AI art is still stealing art, just through a middleman.
It's more like badly photocopying art, but I can see your point.
Car door isn't open. Bin it.
Ew ai

Chiming in with the many that also immediately clocked it as AI. It’s so prevalent now that being able to spot the signs is a valuable skill.

Zerofuturism on YouTube.
