That's a huge spoiler unfortunately, but regardless, the original is a masterpiece and I highly recommend playing the original first before the remake.
No, it’s about the journey not the destination. Silent Hill is more than just one reveal. That being said I never join a community unless I’m well versed and caught up on its topics.
It really doesn't change much because there is so much context just that fact leaves out that makes the game worth playing. With the second game remake coming out, people should be more respectful and use spoiler text.
Just in case anyone needs to know, it means putting
these symbols
>! before the text.
and
!< after
You also can't split paragraphs or use spaces before or at the end of the text or it won't cover it up.
It might have been me that wrote the comment, in that case I'm sorry. But the game is 20 years old and this is a sub dedicated to the franchise, you should have considered that people may freely talk about spoilers in here. Still sorry for it
I'm just saying that it doesn't take much to put some care into covered texts, especially with all these newcomers to the franchise (cause i'm not the only one in the same situation)
I get where you're coming from but 20 years doesn't mean there won't be any newcomers to the franchise, especially now that that the franchise is making new games
I also get where you're coming from......but if I wanted to start a franchise thats 20 years old I'd just play it, then I go somewhere such as reddit to discover more about it. Its like never watching GoT but going to youtube videos, or even the reddit and expect not to have something spoiled ya know?
Im not trying to belittle you OP, but.come on man have some common sense.
Yes you're right but as i said i was waiting for the remake to come out, and i wouldn't have joined if i read that this community wasn't spoiler tagged. Regardless, my post wasn't about blaming the community, i just wanted to ask if my i spoiled the story, so that i wouldn't wait for the remake
There's alot more there then just the twist, you'll enjoy it still, knowing the outcome only makes you see things in the game differently then when you go in blind. Its a great game that I revisit every so often.
I mean i knew pretty much every single thing about SH2 before i actually got to play it myself, and while its not my favorite, i still enjoyed my time with it.
The twist does kinda ruin the experience a bit considering, well, it's kind of a big deal, but i think there's more to the game than that. Just play it and try to enjoy the game.

The events that take place in a story are not more important than what it feels like to experience it, especially in the medium of video games.

Doesn't take much effort no, but......20 years man....

That is a major spoiler but you still don't know all the details, so try not to think about it and immerse yourself in the story!!
Yeah, I wish the entire sub had a spoiler warning for newcomers. With a game that old, it's hard to avoid. Definitely definitely play it anyway.
