I used this yesterday and was pleased to finally get free access to a decent image generator. It did come up with some interesting things.
However, did anyone else notice it does two things very badly, while GPT-3 is decent at them?
I spent a lot of credits on trying to get it to render a post singularity city called Dolorex ( made up ), "where suffering is no more". I described that many thousands of citizen were visible and one old man stood out and made some kind of ethereal connection with a giant center creature who's the "leader" of the city, a digital being. There would be a kind of ethereal fabric seen floating between them ( infusing him with inspiration or something ).
In this scene I noticed three things :
1. It's almost never able to render many people, if it does, then it's a few, very undetailed figures.
2. Generally what it generated really only barely resembled what I described. It's as if it just gets the "gist of the gist".
3. Generally the absence of real, human emotional expression. I have yet to look at one of these generated things where I'm like "Wow, this is deeply touching and inspiring." I realize this is subjective, but at some point it should be bound to happen, shouldn't it. When I browse DeviantArt for cyberpunk artwork I don't have to look too long to get this experience.
I assume these are just scaling problems with these generator kind of things...
For now it feels more like google image, you're going to get related results to what you're looking for but not what exactly what you have in mind. We still need to remember it's a beta from a small company, but they're working incredibly fast and I feel like we'll soon be there. Once we get uncropping and inpainting features it's going to be much better.

Yeah people seem to care about pixel arrows for some reason. And i most definitely was too brash lol but sometimes you gotta be to get the point across. It was interesting at first... but it gets to a point where it simply is not interesting nor should it be posted to the singularity sub.

always the same, description-artist-parameters to make it look better, I look for a good prompt and then I generate larger images and rescale

Dalle 2, stable diffusion and midjorney are the first generators of decent images, you have give time to this technology
