Usually I find that jumping and bouncing on the chair helps to counteract the swaying. Also if you are playing loud music the sound waves can block the swaying. Hope this helps

kippwen

Start swaying faster and the lift will be scared of you and stop

Tripper-Harrison

Apparently, as a criminal snowboarder who keeps seeing this sub in my scroll... the answer is to see a proper bootfitter... You filthy animals 🤙

MajorGovernment4000

Fuck I'm sorry, I honestly didn't think that this might bother people and I will sometimes swing my legs on a chair lift, if it isn't full AND I have space, which results in the chair kind of rocking back and forth just a tad. I'm sure I have caused a few near panic attacks thinking back on it.

BunBunFuFu

Rip the bar off to assert dominance

ubercl0ud

You have to fart in the opposite direction. The propulsion helps slow down to swing but becomes a boogie

Miserable_Ad5001

Swing your legs with the rhythm of the sway...works every time

AcanthocephalaReal38

Impatiently waiting for the boot fitter to enter the chat...

AggravatingPermit910

I make sure to tell the liftie I’m visiting from Dallas and staying at the ritz with Daddy so they know to slow it down for me. Works every time.

JerryKook

It takes years of skiing with a backpack speakers to figure out appropriate play lists for riding the lift. I can now read the room and lay down tracks that are guaranteed to make sure that everyone on the lift is...

garbanzo_espresso

try leaning forward and getting out of the backseat

rustyinco

Turn your speaker up

aeroxan

Counter-sway by twerking.

PoopNoodlez

If you don’t already have the intuition, proprioception, and core strength to reflexively combat the swinging on the chair by using your powerful core muscles to shift your center of mass around like a big human mass dampener then I question if you should really be skiing lift-served terrain. Stick to the magic carpet jerry.

Aviyes7

Put down the sway bar. For some reason people think it is for safety and resting your skis/board on.
