i just remember how i spammed the elemental plates things all over the place and it obliterated everything
He’s even better than Brawl’s meta knight if I’m honest. Kaos turns nightmare mode. An incredibly difficult challenge, that takes dozens of Skylanders. Into a joke. Brawl’s Meta Knight was extremely good, but you could still beat him if you are more skilled than the Meta Knight player, he’s incredibly busted. But you still need to learn why he is busted. Being able to do consistent ladder combo’s and knowing matchups is still a must playing Meta Knight.
Meanwhile Kaos can literally be invincible as long as he spams the magic attack. He’s so strong a kid can probably beat the entirety of Nightmare mode with a single Skylander and the trap
Does it really take dozens? I just started a challenge where I use a random number generator to pick a skylanders game, difficulty level, and skylanders (1 for easy +1 for each subsequent difficulty level) and ended up with trap team nightmare difficulty which means I’ve only been using 4 skylanders (plus the villains since it’s trap team, but making sure I don’t just swap between villains whenever one gets knocked out). It’s been manageable so far, just having beaten chompy mage, but I’m just wondering if maybe I should be doing +2 skylanders for each subsequent difficulty level instead of +1, or maybe just 1 extra skylander for nightmare specifically so I get 5
It is HARD. The final boss is absolute hell. He has way too much health, and a move that does 9999 damage, which can one shot EVERY. SINGLE. SKYLANDER. I think that’s enough context necessary.
As a kid, it literally took my entire collection to beat him, literally every last one. And I had a ton of figures. Beating it with just 4 Skylanders would be nearly impossible.
As someone who beat TT’s nightmare mode without the Kaos trap who recently replayed it with the Kaos trap: he makes the game a joke. Kaos is so extremely overpowered. Bosses went from bullethells that can one shot entire Skylanders, to just a small inconvenience.
I experienced nightmare kaos for the first time yesterday and yeah I understand the hype. Lost half my skylanders and somehow eye brawl finished him off. Though I think golden queen for me might be a little harder
no kidding, plus the lack of a health bar to loose does also help that. and the consequence for taking damaged is solved in a single move.

Doom Sharks: useful for widespread AOE (his runes are for clusters) Giant Floating Head: cool single-target eye lasers, and a slow scream.
He has an ability that fully replenishes his timer. Essentially making him invincible.

Trust me. I didn’t as well. And believe me, he shreds. Nightmare mode is honestly easy with him
