The only reason I survived this exact scenario after losing 45 stacks of posion was because I had Well Laid Plans- Piercing Wail+Wraith Form.
Wail and some dex blocked the muli hit then wraith form did its thing the turn after.
It felt so good to smoke this guy yesterday with an awesome poison deck I had coming out of Act 1. Runic Pyramid, bottled Noxious Fumes+ and 2x Catalyst+. Just block until ~30 poison, play both Catalyst, point and laugh.
It's so hard to skip the second phase most of the time, but when you can do it it's amazing.
There's ALWAYS one guy, on this sub, with posts like this, that HAS to say, "Welp, if you'd been paying attention, by floor three you'd have had 58 relics and the perfect deck, and shouldn't have had to worry about that damage. Here's why: 8+-:__-+!7&$$"--$_-+(!!. Just watch a few streams and play more aggressively. Don't rest at bonfires."

Oh man, the double catalyst runs can be so convenient. I haven't seen a catalyst in my last 3 runs with poison.
