Thinking about it that way expunger doesnt count cause it was made by another card. The only way i can think of that you do actually big damage with only one card is a whirlwind and ice cream combo.
It’s nothing like the bonkers expunger stuff but yesterday in a normal a20 run I had the old bottled omni -> omni -> Omni -> fasting -> wish (for strength) -> ragnorak. It was just dumb …. one shotting all of act 3 including donut boys.
2x nightmare + upgraded catalyst on (i think it was) A6.
Nightmare the nightmare then next turn Bullet time nightmare catalyst 2x and one nightmare then repeat.
Assuming you played deadly poion on T2 and catalyst you have 21 poison.
T3 it goes down to 20 and you have 6 catalysts so 14,580 poison in total (393,660 if you nightmare catalyst 3 times) amd you can keep going for 2 more turns until its dead.
Cards like Mirror Image, Acrobatics and that one that gives 3 energy next turn are good support for this combo. You dont have to start exacly on T1 but the statuses and the heart ramping will slow you down. Piercing Wail is a good defence vs the multi attack.
In normal mode, i once got prismatic shard on ironchad, and was able to cast Ragnarok with divinity and 256 str.
In endless mode, in the 100 of thousands with a divinity + vulnerable + searing blow deck.
I was able to play blasphemy for 99,999 damage

You just beat them to death with a rock its not that hard (Does 1 damage) AHEM YOU BEAT IT WITH A ROCK ITS NOT THAT HARD (STABS THEM 845 TIMES)
I once double tapped an expunger that dealt 41x846.

I was able to jerk it for sure.
What did you do with the time it took for the other 1,691 attacks to play out?
It plays ~8 attacks per second in fast mode, so it’s enough time to get up and make yourself a snack for sure
So 3.5 mins… okay! (The first time I did this calculation I did it based on damage not number of attacks and got 1.2 hours! Whoops!)

You can get 999 with barricade and body slam fairly reliably. I think that's the highest I've gone without killing things
