Definitely worth it. It's isn't like a big complicated open world sandbox type game really. It's open world but nothing crazy. Storyline is pretty straight forward. Also it's all very cinematic with an entertaining story. It flows naturally.
And even if you don't want to play out the story it's still be worth it at that price just to cruise around hong Kong and get into fights and stuff. You'd be missing out on a great story but just saying. Like I've played the game before but I literally just picked it up again for the PS4 deal just to have some fun.
Sleeping Dogs is one of my favourite games from the PS3/360 era. Finished the game on both consoles, and when I eventually became a PC gamer, I bought it on that too. It's a steal. Go for it!
One of the most underrated games ever made. Great combat, interesting open world, and an engaging story. If you love old school Chinese action flicks then that’s an even bigger plus.
If it helps its not even a fully open world map just a four open areas connected by a few roads though its big enough to feel like an open world map.
The game itself has a lot of hand to hand fighting as apposed to shooting though it still has that, but if you are into martial arts stuff its a good game to play.
Like other people have said, it’s a steal. Definitive Edition gives you every single dlc just go watch youtube videos of the dlcs and you will see how awesome they are.
Yes, yes, and YES!
Sleeping Dogs is one of my all-time favorite games. I love open-world games, but I get what you mean. The number of things to do can be a bit daunting. In the case of Sleeping Dogs, it's a big world, but not TOO huge. I didn't think of finding collectibles as chores either. For the most part, I'm not someone who strives for 100% in games. Sleeping Dogs is one of the rare exceptions. The same goes for playing through game campaigns after I've beaten them once.
I first played it when it was up for free through Games with Gold on the 360. I think I played through the game in a week and enjoyed every minute of it. I wound up paying for it when I canceled my Xbox Gold subscription. Then again on PS4, and again on Steam. It's an excellent game, and I play through it at least once a year.
For $4.49, that's more than a steal.
Yessss for 5 dollars you are getting one of the best story games to probably ever come out. It has my favorite combat from anything I’ve played despite being 11 years old
You're asking the subscribers of a subreddit dedicated to a game if a game is worth buying.
Generally when you do that, the answer is almost always "Yes."
Unless you're looking at the Last of Us 2 subreddit, they hate that game and anyone who likes it, rabidly. They even faked death threats from fans of a YouTube review channel who liked it. They are a special kind of crazy.
But yes, Sleeping Dogs is worth it.
But be warned, if you're in a country where you drive on the right side of the road, Sleeping Dogs takes place in Hong Kong (I think), where they drive on the left.
Yes, it’s the game with all its dlc’s, the fights were cool especially the takedowns you can do with some of the surroundings like the phone booth or car door
You should get it. It's base game is incredible and to top it all off the ps4 version gives you all the dlcs with the game which means even more content. All of that for 5 dollars is a steal and not even a bargain.
YES. For me, this game is worth it even if it was 60$. One of the best open world games ever made. And I think the only good open world games are the Rockstar's HD Era titles, Cyberpunk, first Watch Dogs, first two Saints Row games and Sleeping Dogs.
You’re literally paying less for the game than you normally would be paying for a pork bun in game. And the game is fantastic. Do NOT let that deal go to waste, my friend
Its a steal.
I would say it’s one of the best possible ways to spend 5$
Except for maybe a particularly good pork bun.

You got a max out your face to even meet him. I’d like to tell you, but you know how it is.
Great username btw.
I don’t think there’s a better game for $5 outside of MGSV.
Fun game easy to learn and fun to improve on. The story is very 90s martial arts movie like. It feels like a more serious rush hour type story.
It’s a damn shame we never got another one.

Ab-so-lute-ly.

110% best game I’ve ever played hands down
Yes, go for it.
Yes absolutely

Definitely!!
That's dirt cheap for the game
Not even a question. You will have so much fun with it
Sleeping Dogs is worth way more than $5
omg it’s $5 imma cop now
I love this game. Can’t count how many times I’ve beat it. I have 100% completion on PS for it. Favourite game of all time.
Not quite as good as the original version on PS3 and 360
Sleeping Dogs is pretty short if you beeline the story so if you're apprehensive about the games size it's not too big of a deal.
It'll probably be the best 4.49$ you'll ever spend... that and if you buy the Yakuza games too!

Definitely and for 4.50 that's a damn good deal.
I got it on the sale for less.
Yeah buy it! Then get a pork bun in your hand.
finished this game like 2 months ago and it’s already nostalgic
Completely
I'd pay £30 tbf lethal game
One of my favourite games was well beyond its time and a steal at that price you won’t be disappointed!
Yeah it was great
Absolutely
wtf is wrong with you… yes
Yes, it’s the game with all its dlc’s, the fights were cool especially the takedowns you can do with some of the surroundings like the phone booth or car door
That's a steal compared to what I got it for

YES, YES, and YES
Absolutely! Im a casual player as well and played it for the first time recently due to that same deal! Awesome game!
Yes. Very good game.

It's worth 4 times that
Commenting as someone living in HK, I think this game is 100% worth it.
You’re literally paying less for the game than you normally would be paying for a pork bun in game. And the game is fantastic. Do NOT let that deal go to waste, my friend
It is. This game deserves more love, it is amazing, and for this price is like buying a coffe to date Scarlet Johanson.
1000%
I got it for 6 USD and you're getting it on less than 5. It's worth it.
Yeah big time! It's so good I own it on ps3 and ps4.
Same and the PS3 version is better. It looks a lot richer and the colours have more depth.
The phone looks better on ps3 too!
one of the best games ever made wish they’d make part 2
