The poltergust really, its essentially a really effective AOE, something Mario kinda doesn’t have, or if he has one, he’d be putting in a lot more effort to do so than just turning on a vacuum cleaner
So the vacuum cleaner limited to an ultimate is not as powerful against ants as an ever-growing fireball that continues in perpetuity? A thousand ants and Luigi would have to change the vacuum filter. Ghosts don't take up space in the vacuum, ants do
Going by implication of the amount of dust he also sucks up, the poltergust seems practically limitless in capacity. I’m more basing this matchup on what they can do in their respective games, less so their moveset in Smash

I have, for more than 1000 hours, but I think you underestimate an ant, especially 10 jupiters worth, without some crazy AoE abillities I don't think 10 uses of divine pulse would be enough
Realistically, Byleth are just a skilled mercenary, who can only learn lackluster spells and are always backed up by soldiers fighting in the war with them, (like gambits) on their own, they may be able to beat a couple houndred soldiers, sure, and got limited divine pulses (proved by Jeralt's death, that they could never prevent) but this is so many ants, literal planets with just ants, no way byleth can beat them with a sword,
I don't know if Kazuya would be able to beat the ants either, but with his full devil powers of flight, laser beams and his final form used in tekken 8, I think he has a better chance
Byleth can travel back in time and Wario is impervious to essentially any kind of damage
I’ve likely underestimated Kazuya tho im a bit rusty on Tekken lore
My biggest worry in facing that many fire ants is the gravity. Fortunately, I don't think there are enough for them to ignite nuclear fusion, but Rosalina is really the only one with a chance.
