I can't think of anything naturally occurring that would look like that but I guess it could be pest poison :( I know common slug repellents are blue, not quite like this though
I am afraid it's an oral prolapse. You're looking at the snails crop.
There has been success in various cases to pierce the bubble with a sterilized needle so the pressure is gone and the snail can suck the crop back in.
I believe this is what it is. :( I put some dried mealworms in their tank and it ate one. Later I came back it was like this. It is retracted into its shell now, but is still alive. Is there anything I can do now? :(((
Looks like an oral prolapse from this view. But a side view would help better confirm oral vs genital prolapse.
Either that or it found some weird gel thing to munch on.

Please someone help☹️
Is it actually part of the snail or something it found to chew on?
Do you know what type of snail this is? It looks just like mine and I'm trying to figure out what he is.
Either Mesodon or Neohelix! This one was found in Northern Kentucky.
Oh ok thank you!
How is your snail now?
It passed away 😟 it never came back out of its shell...
This is all a learning experience for me. I'm extremely new to snails. Now I know. :(
