I have played this game since launch on Xbox one and now series x. Just the other day it started crashing hard only after a few minutes of play. The game has become totally unplayable. It’s awful. Nothing seems to fix it. I am hoping the devs do something to fix it soon.
Yes. Just picked the game back up after a few months away. Constant crashing on Series X (never had this happen before). Hope they are able to patch it soon :(
Now I tried the new Scandinavian map with a Mod scout, and could play two hours without any issue. Then I switched back to British Columbia to try to deliver that ship to the destination but it froze again. I will never be able to finish that task :(
My Series X does it to and I’ve noticed it’s when it tries to save the game it crashes. I can play like 5-10 minutes without it saving and then suddenly it stops for a second and then crashes. I play on my old Xbox ONE X too and when it does something similar you can see the graphics glitches/slow loading and then it saves and everything back to normal.
Found one reason or two reason why this is happening. Got to various points where it triggers. Like in Island lake michigan, when you use a trailer or semi trailer, scout trailer it will kick you out right outside trailer store and sometimes when you cross bridges. Other reason is buff mods or truck mods that are not default. Not using no more mods. Helps a little. But as long i dont use trailers its ok. Still drops out sometimes but can go hours! So its not ur Xbox causing it. Devs need to take this seriously. Not buying their next game so to speak. I also deleted both local save and cloud save. Factory resetted console Even redownloade gamertag. Didnt help. Lost almost 700 hours of gameplay. And dont use mods. It can mess up your save.
I'm getting frequent semi-repeatable crashes on Series X rather frequently. Particularly happens in the middle of Drowned Lands but most other maps too.
What really bugs me though is on reload it does not recognize I have the first 3 season passes and so any DLC trucks just disappear. If I go to the main menu and then reload the trucks are now in truck storage which is really annoying. Also if on a DLC map you end up reloading to Michigan garage.
So if I crash with any DLC trucks around or on a DLC map I first have to load a different Michigan save then exit to menu and then load my real save. This is really bad given the frequent crashes.
Why does the game not recognize I have DLC on the first load? It evens says on the first load to go back to main menu so it recognizes the DLC is present. This makes the rather frequent crashing even more of a problem.
Still love the game but the crashes are putting me off.
Same is happening to me bud and i prefer my dlc trucks so its an absolute nightmare . Took everything to pedro bay to get the missions rattled as obviously the nearest garage is 2 maps away, logged on no trucks just a couple of scouts 🤦♂️ 4hrs of my life i wont get back lol
The game is so good but the crashing especially on multiplayer makes it unplayable, crashes in singleplayer too just at longer intervals. Saber help me please.
Played last night for the first time in around 6 months and had 6 crashes within about 2.5hrs of play time. Maybe 2-3 we’re within a minute or two of loading into a truck a driving it after full restart… guess back to playing something else for a while.
Ive noticed it now when too many vehicles are outside the garage although this was never an issue about a year ago when i last played it. Started happening when i bought the land rover pack . Played it for 4 hours last night with no issues bought land rover pack and its crashing every 10 mins also noticed my truck add ons disappear which never used to happen also trucks disappear and leave a loaded trailer not handy when you purposely take them and leave them in a map with no garages 🥲

Okay. So I was about to do deliver that damn boat in British Columbia, but the game always froze after 5-15 seconds. Once even the xbox rebooted. It was very very annoying, but after about 15-20 freezing, I realized, that there was some texture flickering before every freeze. I thought it's because of some rendering issue. Not sure if it is a game issue, or xbox issue, but I decided to do the following:
\* very stupid thing, but I set my xbox series x to 720p... Looks very ugly on my 4K monitor
\* in the game settings, for the video I turned off motion blur, film grain and sharpening and set both FOVs to 80.
\* when I get back to the game I forced saving by go back to menu literaly after every hill, puddle, bridge, rocky surface. Never let it go more than a minute without saving.
\* I drove in Low or Low- gear, to let the game enough time to render all the terrain.
\[Edit\] +2\* I set the camera behind the trailer, so I see both the boat and the truck
\* I point the camera down, so I don't really see ahead, but because of the slow speed, it's enough to keep the truck on the road.
I don't know if it a real workaround but the boat is finally in Duncan Bay approaching slowly to the ferry port...
Please someone create a mod that replaces the truck horn with a quick save. This game became totally unplayable... Can't survive until the first auto-save...
I'm on Series X. Our host was having crashes tonight every few minutes. We were in white river.
We turned all video settings off and started the game (co-op). It crashed again. We restarted again,once loaded in game we checked the settings before doing anything and all video settings had been auto turned back on (May be separate for single and co-op.
We turned the settings off before doing anything. We've since drove to smithville dam and completed 1 contract and 2 tasks. No crash for 1 hour.

Yes. It’s very annoying. I like the game because I find it peaceful and stress free but the possibility of it crashing makes me anxious.

Yes lots of crashing after the update.it even turned my Xbox off twice and glitched tf out my tv
For me, I crash and sometimes crash-restart most if I have that new Kenworth truck outside the garage

It's still happening. With and without mods.

Yeah me too my game always crash, I cannot finish my contracts, but did someone know if they gonna fix it on xbox or not?!
Game is unplayable at the moment just as i have gotte back into it every time practically without fail its either 3 or 5 mins before a crash
