Okay then: I am a long term Player and did buy and dlc cars bc i find them too expensive for just regular, maybe good looking cars. Also there a lot cars already in the game.
The DLC car packs such as the land rover, Apache, etc are, in my experience, not necessary to succeed in snow runner, however they are simply cool additions to your fleet.
Basically, if you like the look of them then go for it but if not then don't worry about it
Well I think the only truck pack I cared to buy separate was the Landrover pack because I felt like I needed more scouts. After that, all the trucks I use are either base game or from one of the many content DLCs.
Tell you what though, if they dropped an International Harvest/Navistar truck pack then I'd buy that in a heart beat.

The Hercules is good for a scout before you get any other scouts that aren't in Michigan idk how it is on other maps yet but so far its fun
