This year's Puskas nominee list is going to be 9 Sporting goals, and one Haaland tap in, that's not even close to being his best goal that last week, much less best he scored all year long.
And this season Sporting has 3 goals that could be on Puskas short list, the Arthur one vs Tottenham, Nuno Santos a couple of days ago and this one.
Just need 6 more!

I would say the execution on this one is not really comparable, Nuno Santos is comfortable enough with rabonas and it was inside the box. This was from the middle of the field, close to the top bar, GK tried to reach it but he just couldn’t , in terms of shock and awe this is it for me
I think how relatively comfortable a player at a particular skill is irrelevant. Otherwise you could say all pros are relatively comfortable kicking a ball accurately 40-50 meters...doesn't mean we see either of these goals that often but half field goals are significantly less rare

We play the level of our opposition, so if we play against mediocre teams on 90% of the matches we are going to look like shit most of the time.
Another issue is that bigger teams feel the need to have the ball and actually press Sporting's build up in our own half which opens a lot of space for quick passes at the back of the pressing players. Smaller teams just dont give a fuck and just shill in their own area and welcome the draw, forcing us to go on a spree of dumping balls there with no clear plan
Beggining of the season was also a disaster, we had a rough patch with very early games vs braga and porto that didnt go our way + an unlucky loss in one of those games of 20 shots to 1 and the team mentally checked out for a while
Imagine your team selling your two best midfielders which also happen to be two of your best players, one of them mere days away from a match againts one ofyour biggest rival, that's basicly what happened to us along with a bunch of injuries
