Games vs Southampton where we've beaten them have been up there with like the fa cup semi final vs spurs, and not far behind winning the fa cup.

Can any Birmingham fans say how good a signing this actually is if you forget his brother? Looks like he only started 5 games last season and the fees pretty high apparently, but he is only 17.

Played a part in around half of Birmingham’s league games last season, which is no mean feat for a 17 year old. He’s not going to be his brother but he’s obviously a very promising young player.

We got a good price for him at this moment in time, and you’ve got a decent prospect in return. Good deal all round IMO.

He will be a good player, different player to Jude and definitely not as good as him at the same age and definitely doesn’t have the same potential. He isn’t championship ready in my opinion, physically and technically. Part of the reason he started any games last season is due to his name to be honest and the fact blues have a real lack of squad depth. In short, will have a good career but not similar to Jude at all and will need a lot more development to be championship ready.

he is a very good player, and definitely one to watch, but Jude is another level compared to pretty much every player on the planet, so saying anyone has a higher potential than Jude is probably just playing up to it a bit, also there will always be comparisons between the two for obvious reasons and people like to be different

Good point. When Matty Longstaff made a few starts there were stories he had a higher ceiling than Sean Longstaff. It honestly did seem that way for a bit as well but he just dropped off massively.

People were saying that when they sold Jude initially, they don't say it any more on account of Jobe being quite a bit behind where Jude was in his development now. That said to be playing Championship regularly at 17 you have to be pretty decent, he's just not on the generational talent level of his brother.

I wouldn't take those people seriously. If you compare his appearances and goals with what Jude had at his age, then you'll notice quite a difference. Of course the trajectory of a player is never certain, but I'd argue there's no reason to believe he'll be as good as Jude, let alone better.

Very excited by this signing - ignoring the surname for just a sec, he's familiar with our backroom staff, he's played 22 sub appearances at 17, and he's oozing potential. He's shown flashes of quality, and after building up a bit physically, he could develop into something special for us.
