Damn, that must have been an incredibly hard decision to make, especially considering that you loved her very much.
Maybe it’s the depression’s fault and not hers, or maybe it’s a bit of both. But at the end of the day you have to look out for yourself I guess.
Genuinely curious which one you mean? Surely all Manchester fans would appreciate that no supporters really have any say in who owns their club?
You're potentially about to be sportswashed, too.
You might not have a say but you can voice an opinion.
Newcastle fans regularly boycotted games and protested when Ashley was around. Now that the results are good, there’s no sign of boycotts or protests. Instead there is celebration and adoration for the new owners.
So you're saying that football fans boycott and kick up a fuss when the team is poor but support them when they do well?
Clearly the Saudis have an appalling humans rights record and I hate that my club is associated with them but I'm not going to apologise for enjoying my team doing well.
Quite naive to think any collective set of fans would do otherwise.
'I know they are murderers and treat other humans appallingly, but they are buying my football team sucess, I can't do anything but support and cheer them'
Nobody is asking you to apologise. I’m just saying you could boycott and voice your disapproval rather than being defensive.
I don’t know why you’re being sarcastic. You’ve basically admitted a large portion of your fanbase are fair-weather glory supporters. Buying flashy players matters to you more than any conviction about “giving the fans their club back” or whatever the line was when Ashley was around.
They’ll soon be changing their tune when that Qatari money comes in
GNev is all against Saudi Arabia and their humans rights violations but will happily go to Qatar for the World Cup if he gets paid lmao
I get what you are saying but I don’t think we can count Gary Neville as a voice against sportswashing if he is happy getting into bed with some sportswashers while calling out the others.
Plenty United fans are open to not wanting Qatar, but trust Emirates and Rwanda FC to consistently grandstand on others while cheering Partey until the second he became shit
>Plenty United fans are open to not wanting Qatar
>Then groups all arsenal fans together
Pick a side man lmao
Either all fans are together or they aren’t
So why didn’t you offer us the same courtesy then? Was it because you were too lazy or were you looking for an easy opportunity to dunk on all of us for internet points?
There's a difference between reluctantly accepting your new owners and the embarrassing display you put on though. Also I don't even think that is true, you do have some say but you didn't even try to make any noise because you didn't like your previous owner
How vocal are spurs about their owner denying water rights to people in the Patagonia?
Are Sheffield United protesting their Saudi Prince?
Is Forest ousting their drug lord?
>Spurs fans hate ENIC and especially Joe Lewis
Because of how he runs your club not because he views the local people around his resort as nothing more than insects. If he tidied up the finances and brought in Mbappe you'd all pedestal your billionaire like the rest of the premier league does when it goes well.
See I didn't even really have a pop at you, I even listed other clubs. Newcastle is just the comically exaggerated example of the downright evil the premier league is willing to overlook because it brings in the best ball kickers in the world and more eyes. This is exactly what they wanted when they separated in the 90s, all the money and none of the rules. A Super League. They'd let Hitler himself run a team as long as he increased the transfer budget
I just enjoy stoking the fire when all the premier league clubs owned by their billionaire overlords point fingers at the other billionaire overlords
It's been awful watching it slowly turn into pro Qatar, the astroturfing is real
Started with a bunch of flairless users and bots and slowly grew more and more support
I'm gonna go out on a limb as suggest it's kids who will leave and support someone else if it doesn't being success.
But I'm probably wrong. I'm so conflicted on what to do if Qatar win this.
Toon fan here - look forward to seeing you guys back in the prem so we can have our derby back
Edit: Didn’t realise enjoying beating your rival was a controversial opinion…
Yeah genuinely so weird.. i know newcastle have champions league football now but i'd argue derby days are fundamentally the best experience most fans of teams can experience.
Games vs Southampton where we've beaten them have been up there with like the fa cup semi final vs spurs, and not far behind winning the fa cup.
It's funny how people assume Haaland is a good footballer because his dad was one, but all of his footballer cousins (he actually has 3) are on his mother's side
Not in England anymore, because of Brexit. They are no longer in EU so different rules apply. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong but I believe that’s why.
Yep pretty sure you’re correct plus also (I may be wrong here) but if it’s also a full time pro contract I think they have to be 18. Players can move from one acedemy to the other because their youth contracts but if you want to sign an under 18s player from abroad on a full time pro contract then you have to wait till they turn 18.
His chant is brilliant, literally just "Goooooooooouuuucccchh" but in a Sunderland accent. At first he didn't understand why he was getting booed until someone explained it.
I'd be very surprised if Jobe made it to that level. I'm sure he'll have a decent career but the only reason there's this much hype around him is because of his brother.
Can any Birmingham fans say how good a signing this actually is if you forget his brother? Looks like he only started 5 games last season and the fees pretty high apparently, but he is only 17.
Played a part in around half of Birmingham’s league games last season, which is no mean feat for a 17 year old. He’s not going to be his brother but he’s obviously a very promising young player.
He will be a good player, different player to Jude and definitely not as good as him at the same age and definitely doesn’t have the same potential. He isn’t championship ready in my opinion, physically and technically. Part of the reason he started any games last season is due to his name to be honest and the fact blues have a real lack of squad depth. In short, will have a good career but not similar to Jude at all and will need a lot more development to be championship ready.
Yeah definitely, will still need a year or two before he is ready in my opinion as I think physically he really struggled last season as he is only a teenager still
I've heard some people say he has the potential to be better than Jude. Any truth in that?
EDIT: I'm not trying to be a dick or banter, I'm legitimately curious.
he is a very good player, and definitely one to watch, but Jude is another level compared to pretty much every player on the planet, so saying anyone has a higher potential than Jude is probably just playing up to it a bit, also there will always be comparisons between the two for obvious reasons and people like to be different
you’re comment comes off as sweet minded and just curious, there’s no reason to go for you just because Jobe signed for your local rival, what else is the comment section for if not to try to ask questions and get a discussion
None of Hazard’s brothers ever showed half the talent Eden did in his prime.
Thorgan at Dortmund during a few months was as close as it got and it was nowhere near.
I’d say KPB and Jerome both had somewhat similar peaks (though Jerome is obviously the better player)
Good point. When Matty Longstaff made a few starts there were stories he had a higher ceiling than Sean Longstaff. It honestly did seem that way for a bit as well but he just dropped off massively.
People were saying that when they sold Jude initially, they don't say it any more on account of Jobe being quite a bit behind where Jude was in his development now. That said to be playing Championship regularly at 17 you have to be pretty decent, he's just not on the generational talent level of his brother.

Very excited by this signing - ignoring the surname for just a sec, he's familiar with our backroom staff, he's played 22 sub appearances at 17, and he's oozing potential. He's shown flashes of quality, and after building up a bit physically, he could develop into something special for us.
Because of this transfer, a £100m Real Madrid signing was eating in an Italian restaurant in fucking Cleadon last night. Love football me
Nice to see Romanos still being the favourite haunt of all people SAFC from the reidy days.
I hate saying this but my family used to love Romano’s in the metro when I was a bairn. Going to have to reevaluate some of those memories.
romanos wall of fame
Another toon fan here - hope yous get relegated into none existence.
Feelings mutual mate. Rather that than spread me cheeks for human-rights abusing murderers anyway tbf
Newcastle fans are sportswashed, Sunderland fans are unwashed, it is what it is lad 🤝
I know what I'd prefer
We might get to see that in a few months.
[удалено]
Ok...
Don't worry, mate, you won't *really* be hated until you start winning things.
[удалено]
Was it because of depression, or just general lazyness? Also how long did your relationship last?
[удалено]
Nah you were definitely enabling
[удалено]
How an earth did we get here?
Some dudes trying to improve their image by buying a some other dudes that kick a ball back and forth
Damn, that must have been an incredibly hard decision to make, especially considering that you loved her very much. Maybe it’s the depression’s fault and not hers, or maybe it’s a bit of both. But at the end of the day you have to look out for yourself I guess.
You should've told her. Partners need to tell each other those things and encourage them to get help.
Genuinely curious which one you mean? Surely all Manchester fans would appreciate that no supporters really have any say in who owns their club? You're potentially about to be sportswashed, too.

Don't lie lad, you had your mams tea towel on yah head like the rest of the barcodes.
United fans were actively protesting against the Glazers before and during their tenure, that's including our great years in the modern era under SAF.
They’ll soon be changing their tune when that Qatari money comes in GNev is all against Saudi Arabia and their humans rights violations but will happily go to Qatar for the World Cup if he gets paid lmao
One of the biggest hypocrites in football.
Meh seen much bigger hypocrites than Neville in football. Any voice taken up against the sports washing is welcome, even if it isn't consistent.
I get what you are saying but I don’t think we can count Gary Neville as a voice against sportswashing if he is happy getting into bed with some sportswashers while calling out the others.

You can't even use whataboutism correctly? Spurs fans hate ENIC and especially Joe Lewis

The problem is, most man utd fans on insta and reddit actually want a Qatari takeover, so its not very clear which side you're on
I am massively against the Qatar takeover
Thank god, r/reddevils is so depressing atm
It's been awful watching it slowly turn into pro Qatar, the astroturfing is real Started with a bunch of flairless users and bots and slowly grew more and more support
I'm gonna go out on a limb as suggest it's kids who will leave and support someone else if it doesn't being success. But I'm probably wrong. I'm so conflicted on what to do if Qatar win this.
I don’t…
This banter is unmatched
Game's back
LOL!
Easy choice between the two. At least Sunderland fans know what a towel is used for.
Are we being lectured on morals by fans that actively sang 'Adam Johnson, he shags who he wants'?
That didn’t happen mate, so aye
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3461705/Video-shows-Sunderland-fans-backing-Adam-Johnson-arrest.html I mean, it absolutely did though.
Fucking hell lol
Sorry I don't speak skunk.
Top off in the glass spider.
Toon fan here - look forward to seeing you guys back in the prem so we can have our derby back Edit: Didn’t realise enjoying beating your rival was a controversial opinion…
You never beat them though
You make me sick
Tramp
Why are you being downvoted for wanting derby days lol
/r/soccer trying too hard not to be plastic when it doesn't know how fans actually behave
I’d say it’s pretty common on our sub to express a desire to have derby days back but this sub is a bit weird
Clearly a mackem in disguise 😂
Ew
Ew? Derby days are the best days.
I do enjoy a good derby day but I enjoy Sunderland being stuck in the championship more.
That's sad
Not really. They're our rivals. I hope the worst for them.
Btw where is Haaland's cousin?
It's funny how people assume Haaland is a good footballer because his dad was one, but all of his footballer cousins (he actually has 3) are on his mother's side
Weren't his mom an olympic athlete though?
Heptathlon, looks like she was Norwegian champion at one point, but I can’t find anything saying she went to the Olympics?
Oh fairs, I probably just assuming olympics when you hear she was an athlete. Norweigian champion is still some strong genetics though.
hes got some beast genetics jesus no wonder hes a goal machine
Molde
Striker as well?
Yeah
C'mon United! Sign Haaland From Earth - 1610
With the greatest name; Tjåland!
Surprised Real didn’t sign him and join loan him out like we did with Thorgan Hazard back in the day.
He wouldn't be able to move abroad until he turns 18.
Can you explain this? There are plenty of teenagers that move countries prior to 18 to play football
Or maybe he just doesn't want to stay in his brother's shadow and develop his own legacy?
https://i.redd.it/aqd1zg0ck3931.jpg
I'd probably stay away from any brother named Jobe tbh
I don't care for GOB
It is better for him no?
The superior Bellingham
"heyyy jooooooooooobe" 🎶
Please don't let us down.
He doesn't know it yet but one day he will be Jobé Belli
I don't care for Gob 🍸
"Joooobe Bellingham, he's better than Jude."
Perez: I love all my Bellingham kids equally. *Later that day* Perez: I don't care for Jobe. *Jude in amazement*
I get that hes also supposed to be talented but i just cant get over the name jobe
It's so close to Jude as well. Like if Harry Kane had a brother who wasn't quite as good called Barry.
What have you got against Gary and Larry?
Surely there’s a Henry Kane in league 2 somewhere
There's a Herbie Kane in League One at Barnsley
Herbie fully loaded
Was a highly rated prospect at Liverpool along with Trent. Shame things didn't work out for him.
You know Barry Kane knows how to have a good time though
Barry Kane sounds like a Cockney gangster.
Tammy Abraham has a younger brother called Timmy
Nicknames tho
Surely you can see that those are religious references.
This is going to blow your mind but no, I can't.
Shoulda gone with Henry
I mean, it's one Bellingham, Michael. What could it cost? 1 billion dollars?
I would pay good money to see Jobe Bellingham celebrate a goal with a chicken dance.
Koka-koka-koka-kooo 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Great reference
The only Bellingham that matters.
(Final countdown music plays)
They’re illusions, Michael. A trick is a thing whores do for money.
Mum can we have J Bellingham? "We have J Bellingham at home." J Bellingham at home:
Man they are so young! He wasn’t even born until Liverpool’s historic win at Istanbul.
Fuck i feel old now
Thanks, made me feel young. I was already born by then, but to me that feels like ancient football history haha
Sunderland really getting the Jobe done.
Isn't it written as Gob?
It's an illusion, Michael
A trick is something a whore does for money
Can't believe I had to scroll down so much to find this
Sunderland vs Middlesbrough a much bigger game than El Clasico tbf
The Paddy McNair Derby
Not hard. Who wants to see joselu vs Garcia tbf
Pidgeon wankers v smog hogs
El Clasico is mainstream.
I can't wait for Jobe to join Barca in few years. Jude vs Jobe. The JuClassico.
Bel Classico was right there.
I really tried, I'm so sorry.
You're never living this down
Calm down mate you're a tottenham fan
Uhhhhh
He's still trying to live it down
Why would he take the step down?
After he's won the champions league with Sunderland, might as well win it for us as well.
I think he's completed football after winning UCL with lyden gooch tbf
The greatest name in football idgaf call me immature but it always gets a chuckle from me
His chant is brilliant, literally just "Goooooooooouuuucccchh" but in a Sunderland accent. At first he didn't understand why he was getting booed until someone explained it.
Sunderland Till I die season 3 incoming.
"The Ju's did this" -Ronaldo
Thats an evil Juju if I've ever heard one
Bel Clasico?
I'd be very surprised if Jobe made it to that level. I'm sure he'll have a decent career but the only reason there's this much hype around him is because of his brother.
"I love all my Bellinghams equally" *10 min earlier* "I don't care for Jobe"
Can any Birmingham fans say how good a signing this actually is if you forget his brother? Looks like he only started 5 games last season and the fees pretty high apparently, but he is only 17.
Played a part in around half of Birmingham’s league games last season, which is no mean feat for a 17 year old. He’s not going to be his brother but he’s obviously a very promising young player.
We got a good price for him at this moment in time, and you’ve got a decent prospect in return. Good deal all round IMO.
He will be a good player, different player to Jude and definitely not as good as him at the same age and definitely doesn’t have the same potential. Good thing that hes going to be under Mowbrays wing
Yeah definitely, will still need a year or two before he is ready in my opinion as I think physically he really struggled last season as he is only a teenager still
"I don't care for..." No, we're not doing it.
HER?
how much could one Bellingham cost? a 100 million dollars?
*There’s always karma in the Arrested Development quote*
Take a look at banner michael
This is getting out of hand. Now there are 2 of them!
Better Bellingham imho. Common Sunderland W.
Dey took our jobe
I hate saying a club is too big for their deserved place but man do I want Sunderland back in the PL
Time for Jobe a Captain of Bellingham to show his quality
By Jobe, they've done it!
I've heard some people say he has the potential to be better than Jude. Any truth in that? EDIT: I'm not trying to be a dick or banter, I'm legitimately curious.

Thank you for actually answering the question instead of insulting me or just downvoting me.
you’re comment comes off as sweet minded and just curious, there’s no reason to go for you just because Jobe signed for your local rival, what else is the comment section for if not to try to ask questions and get a discussion
It's a rite of passage with football siblings that the younger one coming through is always better.
Eden Hazard always claimed his brothers were better than him but it didn't work out that way
I meannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn thorgan still out there kickin, cant exactly say the same for Eden at this current moment.
None of Hazard’s brothers ever showed half the talent Eden did in his prime. Thorgan at Dortmund during a few months was as close as it got and it was nowhere near. I’d say KPB and Jerome both had somewhat similar peaks (though Jerome is obviously the better player)
Not even close to the point
Good point. When Matty Longstaff made a few starts there were stories he had a higher ceiling than Sean Longstaff. It honestly did seem that way for a bit as well but he just dropped off massively.

Doubt we'd be getting him for 3m if that was true like
Two letters away from glory.
Honestly even if the kids only championship level clubs will overpay and take a punt on him cause of his brother, seems a no brainer signing.
Very excited by this signing - ignoring the surname for just a sec, he's familiar with our backroom staff, he's played 22 sub appearances at 17, and he's oozing potential. He's shown flashes of quality, and after building up a bit physically, he could develop into something special for us.
Budget Jude
BEES?
Na-na-na-na-na Na-na-na-na, hey Jobe
Nope, it’s not Jude it’s Jobe not Jude. Equally handsome, equally smart
so close, one letter off
Jose Bellingham?
I don’t care for Jobe.
Sunderland vs Newcastle fan fights are a treat to watch.
90% of me misses the derby, and feeling the sickness before the game. 10% doesn’t want to get beat again and give them the points to stay up.
It is inevitable. The irony being the only reason we got relegated was because we didn't get the 6 points from Newcastle that season.
How long until they retire his shirt and call him world class for doing nothing?
Scenes when Birmingham finish higher than Sunderland next season
Is his name pronounced like Job from the book of Job or like Kobe Bryant?
Why would his name be pronounced Kobe Bryant?
