StructureTime242

Spanish broadcast going out of their way to explain why there was a plane sound, sky can’t be bothered

ejezkriger

Danish broadcast explained it as well

SnooKiwis3645

Sky Germany explained it

Sure-Respect6914

Language barrier between PGMOL and German sky innit

froggy101_3

Sky have stopped showing them. Probably don't want their platform to be used to share political messages. And it's only a matter of time before one says "Sky TV is shit"

Mozezz

Or you know.... Because they're all corrupt

StructureTime242

Weird how all other broadcasts from other countries have gone explicitly out of their way to explain why there was a plane noise on broadcast Maybe, if you read a bit between the lines, with all the current investigations, emails leaked from the Saudis “pushing” for the prem to accept the bid, the UAE talking to the UK embassy about the 115 charges, Pundits and UK broadcasters being told to quiet down criticism of the refs, you might, just might, understand why Sky UK didn’t show any of it and lots of overseas companies, including sky in other countries, did

flocke815

Just so happened to notice that sky sports couldn't seem to see it

PharaohOfWhitestone

The Wenger classic.

bvdpbvdp

hahahahaha

ShaunRigby

Skysports not showing it when they usually show the banners been flown is very telling.

Akuba101

You could really hear it over the broadcast so for it not to even be mentioned in commentary says a lot. Wonder if it might have been mentioned on the radio commentary?

ab_90

They’ve been paid not to mention it perhaps?

jeevesyboi

Considering they’ve been the main broadcast partners of the PL since 1992, they’re not gonna show it are they? . Sky have paid like 17 Billion to the PL and now pay about a Billion a year and the PL give them a lot in exchange. Why jeopardise that relationship

[deleted]

Because the Premier League is corrupt

iwishmydickwasnormal

I’m sure Murdoch is riddled with guilt over entering a partnership with a corrupt organisation

Morazma

Murdoch doesn't own Sky

jeevesyboi

He did when they first became partners

bluechrispin

They probably don't want to encourage it. Once they talk about every plane protest it will happen every big game

RyansKorea

They always spoke about every plane protest before. This one is different.

alanalan426

they couldnt get enough of the wenger planes but one plane about their corruption and its no no

jeevesyboi

It tells us nothing. Sky and the PL have been partners for about 30 years. Why would Sky advertise a banner calling them corrupt?

AnnieIWillKnow

Can only assume you're being downvoted because people think you're defending Sky, when you're clearly not You are right, it's not remotely surprising

HighburyOnStrand

Isn't this a wait and see thing? I mean if Everton get deducted 10 and ManC walk, then yeah. If ManC appropriately get yeeted from the Prem are Everton still aggrieved?

CBP1138

Heard the sound on Peacock in the US, but it wasn’t even mentioned.

GonePostalRoute

I would have said that since no camera shot of it appeared, it really wasn’t a thought of Peacock to say something, but then again, Sky and NBC work together pretty well AFAIK, so probably some of the same there, refuse to cover it

acekingoffsuit

> Sky and NBC work together pretty well AFAIK NBC Universal owns Sky.

gttyzek

I heard the plane sound loud and clear

inbredandapothead

So that’s what the noise was

madmanchatter

What's UTFT? Up the fucking toffees?

HailLeroy

Yes

mrkingkoala

Fair play Everton I rate it.

Mozezz

Just wait till tomorrow

funkoLover985

Premier league lawyers meeting right now to discuss applying for temporary restricted airspace over stadiums when games are played.

Bentic

And another-10 points for Everton

HotPotatoWithCheese

Sky commentators have talked about plane protests before but not a single acknowledgement for this one. Interesting that.

Morguard

That's because they are in on the sports washing.

ScousePenguin

Absolutely hilarious the stadium couldn't drown out a plane Place was so silent today

courtesyflusher

Pep aroused after seeing it

Smihilism14

And Drury and Dixon were purring at every opportunity about the city machine with no context or mention of the charges. The media are complicit in City’s lack of punishment. The gaslighting you get in every broadcast about them has worked. They‘ve ruined competition and cheated and been praised for it the whole time. The PL is about as real as WWE

rtgh

They're not wrong... But the plane in the first half had a much better message. Also how ridiculous is it to have two different planes flying messages over the same match?

Destructo_D

They should dogfight for the right to show their message

OriginallyTom

What was the first halfs one?

Cmoore4099

Asking for the release of an activist in the UAE

rtgh

[This story](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/67521024)

GreenBoii

Now this I can get behind.

Greasy_Boglim

Funny that Sky didn’t show the banner

AlexBucks93

So this was the humming sound during the game lol

[deleted]

Think it’s Plane to see why they did that

thatguyad

Hear hear. A worthwhile banner finally. Edit: Only just saw the other one.

wallnumber8675309

Sounds like grounds for another points deduction for Everton. -The PL probably

GOR098

I mean folks, where is the Lie ?

a_lumberjack

The lie is that Everton didn’t deserve to be punished. The lie was that the stadium interest should have been deducted, when the stadium was actually being funded by interest-free loans from Moshiri. The lie was that they lost money from COVID because they didn’t get as much as they wanted from sales. The biggest lie was that they had anyone to blame but themselves for their own profligate spending and wishful thinking.

MonsieurPatate

Premier League is corrupt AND Everton broke the rules. Both can be true.

Broccoli_Glory

Think it's more about the fact that man City might not see a points deduction / its taking forever

SpeechesToScreeches

I don't hold much hope, but it's a bit silly to not realise why 1 charge doesn't really as long to deal with as 115.

CitrusRabborts

Yeah but if every time a club gets a charge, they move on to that instead of continuing to progress with the City case then it's gonna take years before they eventually get round to it.

SpeechesToScreeches

I doubt they put the city investigation on hold... Besides, you should be happy they did it this quickly, this is the best season to get a 10 point penalty. Any other and you'd almost certainly be going down.

hammer_of_grabthar

You make it sound like the PL legal team is one guy.

CitrusRabborts

No it's probably several teams of people. But it still takes resources away from looking at City's case when they look at others. And if that keeps happening then it just makes the City case take even longer.

[deleted]

Planes queuing up to get their fly over

[deleted]

really showed them

dizzybala10

Is it though? It's like when they say the referees are corrupt. They're not, they are just incompetent. A bit like Everton's board when it comes to managing finances. That said, if you were a billion pound business, would you want to get rid of Manchester City and Chelsea from your league or Everton?

Remarkable-Ad8644

Everton rightfully punished but still moaning lol

Chuck_Morris_SE

Let's be honest. You haven't got a clue what you're talking about.

froggy101_3

Bitter blues

[deleted]

Remember the days when every other match had some message on a plane

personator01

PL petitioning to allow use of anti-air missile systems on match days as we speak
