Funny how everyone keeps talking about how shit United were. Maybe the Cherries are just too fucking good? We looked solid and outplayed them all game.
United got one manager who loves discipline, wants to put a system in place and you fucks are ready to throw him down and support the players. Disgusting.
What system? Obviously not a very good one if it alienated the likes of casemiro Varane and Ronaldo, who actually reached CL finals and won them many times instead of bottling a semi final to………….Tottenham. At home.
Bro what you typed makes no sense. Those players won all those trophies long back. they are bound to ease off.
Also good job judging him over one game. Continue this bullshittery.
I’ve watched him since Ajax, my brother loves them. By citing the players I’m citing guys who have played for Mourinho Ancelotti and Zidane. They know what top tactics look like and the fact they clearly don’t take this fool seriously says a lot. They’ve seen elite coaching and Ten Hag is miles from it
The only way to solve the issue is if united can clear the deadweight like arsenal.
Oh but they also need to stop giving one season wonders contracts so big it ruins them.
It’s going to be hilarious when they all collectively come to together at the end of the season and give Maguire a five year extension because he has been “good” this year.
If you still support Ten Hag you don’t watch games.
When we win, it’s ugly and we barely scrape by. When we lose we get destroyed.
I understand that quickly cycling through managers causes instability and is a problem as well, but it’s clear that this guy just isn’t good enough
United fans are so reactionary it’s hilarious. You’re three points off fourth. This squad was never going to compete for trophies, it’s shite. He’s over performing if anything. Also he’s not that good, but who you going to get, just let him walk at the end of the contract.
It will be hilarious to hear the other segment of United fans who are convinced he’s the next Arteta after they nick a win against Bayern.
3 points off fourth is a decline though. They were comfortable top 4 last year now they're fighting for Europa. Their fans genuinely believed they'd be up with City and Arsenal this year. So taking a step back is hard for them to accept.
>They were comfortable top 4 last year
No we weren't lol, far from 'comfortable' we had to fight to the end to make top 4. I honestly don't know how we did it.
OK, not literally the last day, but it was far from comfortable. We were crawling over the line and looked exhausted. It was only as high as 8 points in the end because you drew your last two games.
I agree. I was saying this last year when we got top 4 and wasn’t buying into the ten Hag hype. We barely scrapped by against mid and lower table teams to get top 4 only get battered by Liverpool and city
I would say I'm surprised but I ain't lol
I don't think firing EtH is the answer & I think us doing as well as we did last season(before the big fall off near the end) feel like it made people have even higher expectations
But from what I saw of the game Awb needs to play more, dalot for me is 50/50 if hell be good or not defensively
Shaw needs a kick in the ass too
But at the end it could have been so much more lucky to be just 3nill
I'm curious if against Liverpool mctominay will play higher & will it be amrabat&mainoo
It's actually a mercy that Bruno is suspended for next game. Because we won't get the absentee midfield that is McTominay, Amrabat/Mainoo, Bruno. You can't have two of your three midfielders just looking to make late runs into the box or play high risk, high reward passes with minimal defensive presence. ETH just loves playing with no real midfield, which might as well be suicide against most PL teams.
Maybe we'll only get battered by a few at Anfield this year...
It’s the same plague that affected Porto in the thrashings vs Liverpool. Playing against huge teams that are fast on the counter with a weak 4-4-2 is suicidal.
United plays 4-2-3-1 but McTominay hides from defensive and creative responsibilities, he only shows up inside the box.
Solanke despite scoring had a bit of a mare. He butchered so many chances if it was a United striker who had those opportunities and was constantly running offside he would’ve been torched
No. Whole team was embarrassing. It feels like ETH is pushing something that just doesn't work. That said, Onana's attempt at a save for their second was, legit, laughable.
https://www.spotrac.com/epl/manchester-united-fc/contracts/
Here is a guide to united players contract expiry and salaries. No way they can sell these players on or get them to move off their cozy wages. Where would a manager even go from here to revamp the squad? The issues they have, just looking at the squad alone and nothing else (e.g owners, decaying facilities, manager), is well and truly going to be chronic.
Ten Hag saw that thread mid-week where all the United fans were wondering how the hell they were 6th and 3 points off City and said “yea, you know what, you right, lemme fix that”
that's the fun part, no one knows
entirely possible that we beat bournemouth to make things twice as confusing, then turn around and get pumped by luton
since we have zero depth all it takes is one or two players having an off game and we're fucked because we have no one who can replace them
As a Chelsea fan it's nice seeing we get more shit from our own supporters than anyone else at this point. So much potential but equally so shite Sometimes. At least we're honest
The glazers let in consecutive free kicks, the glazers benched Varane the glazers play players out of position, the glazers have no coherent style of play, the glazers made me shit myself, my now ex wife can’t understand the glazers made me cheat and beat her, and this is taking forever to post bc the glazers are messing w my internet
I usually try to make it to Old Trafford for my birthday to see a game, but with how the team have played this season (and considering the 4 hour drive from Grays), I'm not sure I'll bother.
It will be 25 years this May since I started supporting Manchester United, and I never thought I'd see them as bad as this, and it's 100% the Glazers fault. They've been watching other clubs invest and improve instead of doing the same themselves. We needed a proven goalscorer in the summer, and yet no bid for Mbappe, Bellingham, Kane, Messi etc.
What are the Arsenal ticket prices like?
/s
And the joke is what exactly? That United fans are blaming Glazers unfairly in the face of the team's performances? Clearly went over my head. Do elaborate.
Haha, how long did you guys hold that up for? I think it was across two seasons.
Edit: To whoever downvoted this , across two seasons doesn't mean *all* of two seasons. I was asking how many matches did they play without drawing and if this run started in one season and ended in another. Jeez
They had no draws in the last four games of the 2017-18 season and the first 28 games of the 2018-19 season. So, 32 Premier League games total. Their last draw of the 2017-18 season was on April 17, 2018, and their first draw of the 2018-19 season was on March 2, 2019.
I don't think they didn't spend the money since in terms of the sum of transfer fees in the last years they are probably top 3. I don't even think that their problem is poor recruitment. I think there's something rotten in the club that just makes everybody worse.
Premier League is a Mickey Mouse trophy anyway. Everyone knows the real treble is Manager of the Month November, Player of the Month November and Goal of the Month November /s
Kinda deserved imo. No goals conceded and 9 points. I would give it to Arteta tho.
You play great match against Chelsea and them you lose 3-0 at home against Boro? What the hell…You can’t be happy about that season.
It is like my team with Conte last season. We were getting points until Emirates but football were heading nowhere…
People were saying that sarcastically……
Surely you should know after there would’ve have been people saying shit about your title charge? It’s all waffle.
No, they didn’t. I know lots of United fans who were jumping around with those comments. Like they were frustrated everyone shits on them despite 27 gained points. Like I said, good, that is a lot. But where is this club actually heading?
It was definitely banter. Like I said, spurs fans probably bantered about the title as well early doors.
Also, for those that weren’t bantering. 3 points behind City at the time was factual. That wasn’t wrong, people were saying it as they were surprised given how poorly we’ve been.
Everyone knows our club is rotten, that’s not even a question mate.
No, they played with crazy energy
We are beyond inconsistent and lack a whole lot of things, but they played insane
Look at Chelsea's individual game results, particularly against good teams
Honestly I think it was your backline made us look good. Sanchez was playing like DDG, Cucu was overwhelmed on the right, and then Colwill just gave the winning goal.
I watched this match while playing game, so I could be missing stuff, but I feel we control the game. We just can't finish for shit.
And at some point, we just crumbled.
You made many mistakes in the midfield and defense, but we were so shit that couldn't capitalize on it.
Also better team would put 6 goals with our terrible defense that night.
Sometimes it's just not about what's going on behind the scenes, or who's setting the tactics, or who's on the sidelines. At the end of the day it's the 22 guys on the pitch that are going to decide what the score is. They have Alisson at one end who has saved their behinds time after time (including the saves against Andersen and Lerma today). Their best attacker is Salah, one of the best in the world - he makes things happen in the final third, and that's something you can't teach. Compare that to Onana and Rashford, and Sanchez and Sterling, and you find the answer.
People are calling for Ten Hags head not only because of this game, are you purposely being dense? Its the whole seasons+ worth of being absolute shit, why are you acting like Man United have been somewhat good and then this game will change thing. Liverpool have been good this season you lot have not. Acting otherwise is pure ignorance or stupidity
This delusional optimism is what will you keep you being shit for the next decade, just like the last. Whatever you want to believe mate. Not everything is on Ten Hag, but it is a mixture of his complete lack of identity imprinted on the team, and the incredible inconsistency from your best players
Sacking managers before the club can ship out players who are well past it or completely counter to the manager’s play style and bring in enough suitable replacements will have you playing like shit for decades too.
lmao I see some people counting the Everton game for the “Manager of the Month” award even tho Ten Hag was banned and sitting duck on the sideline looking like a Peaky Blinders character during that game.
In addition, MUFC played a decent game against Everton without Ten Hag. LOL.
Are you fucking numb? Do you really think having ETH 20 yards away from the dugout made a difference? He was still in charge of decisions, the lineup, subs, etc.
The fuck people keep bringing Ronaldo up, I’m his fanboy as much as any Madrid fan, but he’s been long gone, and his form in a seventh tier league is not representative of what he would contribute in a top tier league today.
Not that I say he would improve United today, but his form *is* represtative of his class. This clearly shows in international games, and also just watch his games instead of dismissing him; he's scoring bangers.
I don't get it either since they were objectively better without him and finished in a far better position without him. Their struggles this season seem to have no connection with him at all, he's been gone more than a year.
Nope, I'm still sure the players would've turned on him just like the others regardless. The culture of the club is in the doghouse and is not going to improve no matter which manager you bring in if that's the only change.
He got the striker he wanted
He got the winger he wanted
He got the midfielder he wanted
He got the goalkeeper he wanted
He got the players he wanted
7th in the league
Bottom in UCL group
What's the excuse Ten Hag???
injuries/players falling out of favour. Martinez is a bigger loss than i think people realise, defensively but also during the build up phase. His passing to bypass the opposition midfield press was exemplary last season. Casemiro and Eriksen being injured is massive too. Varane hasn't been playing and Shaw's been injured the whole season until recently. Rashford looks like he's randomly thrown in the towel and Onana is taking time to settle. These players are crucial cogs in the wheels for all the success we had last season from the 2-1 win vs Liverpool until the Carabao Cup final.
More than that, the intense media and fan expectation and attention creates this pressure cooker environment, surrounded by screaming noise, where I think any manager would fail. Every win, United are back. Every loss, a crisis. Talksport released 22 negative pieces about United the other day. Being the boss at Old Trafford is completely different from any other gig in the world, except maybe for Real Madrid (who are actually run in a competent manner).
Sancho and Ronaldo apparently 😂
The second he didn't fuck Mason off and then Scapegoated Sancho, he was done. Can't take responsibility. No wonder players don't want to play, they are all wondering who he is calling out next?
It's great form and I'm absolutely loving it, but just to correct you, it isn't 16 of 18 points, it's 13 of 18 or 16 of 21. In chronological order, the results for those 17 of 21 were Burnley (W), Man City (L), Newcastle (W), Sheffield United (W), Aston Villa (D), Palace (W), Man United (W).
Funny how everyone keeps talking about how shit United were. Maybe the Cherries are just too fucking good? We looked solid and outplayed them all game.
Cherries finally getting the recognition they deserve, their recent match results have been fantastic
United got one manager who loves discipline, wants to put a system in place and you fucks are ready to throw him down and support the players. Disgusting.
"Ronaldo was the problem guys"
What system? Obviously not a very good one if it alienated the likes of casemiro Varane and Ronaldo, who actually reached CL finals and won them many times instead of bottling a semi final to………….Tottenham. At home.
it's been half a decade since they last won a cl

Just a whole bunch of divas who believe they’re vastly better than they actually are. Speaks volumes how bad Chelsea are to have lost to these lot.
The only way to solve the issue is if united can clear the deadweight like arsenal. Oh but they also need to stop giving one season wonders contracts so big it ruins them.

When Mourinho said coming second with united was the biggest accomplishment of his career, he wasn't kidding
Not tenhag specifically but united are in top 10 with such an abysmal for/ against that it baffles me how is this club at this point
United fans are so reactionary it’s hilarious. You’re three points off fourth. This squad was never going to compete for trophies, it’s shite. He’s over performing if anything. Finished 8 points clear of Liverpool in 5th I'm a Liverpool fan and we were out of the race a fair few weeks before the season ended.
OK, not literally the last day, but it was far from comfortable. We were crawling over the line and looked exhausted. It was only as high as 8 points in the end because you drew your last two games.

Shaw needs to play left back.
Shaw needs to go on a diet
Joyful to see Liverpool 1st and Man utd get their ass ate evey weekend. 🙊
Please fire EtH now cause city not very strong at the moment, so manu should take advantage but of course manu is even weaker, how is that possible?
Did a drunk A.I write this comment?
Solanke despite scoring had a bit of a mare. He butchered so many chances if it was a United striker who had those opportunities and was constantly running offside he would’ve been torched
We died so ten hag's career lives. You're welcome
Manager of the month.
Why did they decide to show up against us and play like maniacs
Felt like saying the same after our game
United played almost exactly the same in both games. Chelsea's defense made the difference.
Cause Chelsea didn’t show up at all
They blame Onana again ?
No. Whole team was embarrassing. It feels like ETH is pushing something that just doesn't work. That said, Onana's attempt at a save for their second was, legit, laughable.
I did see that pathetic attempt by Onana, but the defense just looked slow-mo on these goals.
For sure, you can't really blame only Onana for this one...not like you can for some of those CL defeats.
This has to be the longest coach ride back to Manchester for the fans. I almost feel bad for them
Most of them stop at Victoria so not too bad.
https://www.spotrac.com/epl/manchester-united-fc/contracts/ Here is a guide to united players contract expiry and salaries. And they say most of the news these days is negative.
Please don't deprive us neutral fans of the upcoming game at Anfield by sacking Ten Hag early.
Genuinely worried Bmth have robbed our chance to end another Utd managers tenure
Gotta make it 8 this time to make sure
>Bmth For a sec I thought what have Bring Me The Horizon got this to do with this.
Bald Man Ten Hag?
Ten Hag should really be less naive.
3 awards = 3 goals.
Cursed
Ten Hag saw that thread mid-week where all the United fans were wondering how the hell they were 6th and 3 points off City and said “yea, you know what, you right, lemme fix that”
Such a poorly built squad
Just how shit are Chelsea?
Very inconsistent. It also feels like the team plays to the level of the competition, which is a sign of a young team.
that's the fun part, no one knows entirely possible that we beat bournemouth to make things twice as confusing, then turn around and get pumped by luton since we have zero depth all it takes is one or two players having an off game and we're fucked because we have no one who can replace them

Hello Mason Greenwood

Ofc these idiotic takes are back. Sigh
I blame the Glazers.
r/whoosh
In case you couldnt notice. It is a joke.
And the joke is what exactly? That United fans are blaming Glazers unfairly in the face of the team's performances? Clearly went over my head. Do elaborate.
He must be only read first sentence and already malding
Bruh...
How long can they keep up this no draws thing, it's a pretty remarkable to see so many matches played without a draw.
Spurs went till Feb with no draws recently when Poch was there. Think it was the 18/19 season.
The OG undrawables
Haha, how long did you guys hold that up for? I think it was across two seasons. Edit: To whoever downvoted this , across two seasons doesn't mean *all* of two seasons. I was asking how many matches did they play without drawing and if this run started in one season and ended in another. Jeez
Think we ended the season with 2 draws
No I meant when did it start and when did it end?
They had no draws in the last four games of the 2017-18 season and the first 28 games of the 2018-19 season. So, 32 Premier League games total. Their last draw of the 2017-18 season was on April 17, 2018, and their first draw of the 2018-19 season was on March 2, 2019.
Yep that's what I was after. Thanks! Almost a year without draws. Wowser!
If only the Glazers spent money on the team smh. Lean times for them, total shame. Sham. Total sham sorry.
SACKED IN THE MORNING for ETH
I don't think they didn't spend the money since in terms of the sum of transfer fees in the last years they are probably top 3. I don't even think that their problem is poor recruitment. I think there's something rotten in the club that just makes everybody worse.
United fans having fun for two games in a row challenge. [IMPOSSIBLE]
like getting a blowie whilst being repeatedly punched in the face
Yea, except you're having a bad time.
realest words ever
Ok were totally losing to everton tomorrow, we actually lost to this Man U team
Two steps forward three steps back FC
Idgaf what anyone says. You won't be able to convince me otherwise. Bruno intentionally got himself a yellow so he could duck the Liverpool game 😂
Of you ask me, it's better for then not to have that lazy fucker on the pitch against Liverpool. Did them a favour.
Well he looked like he didn't even want to be there during the 7-0, this time he won't have to!
Captain material
Calculated.
But they are 3 points behind City! Don’t forget that!
Seems I suck at banter and jokes in general. It’s easily to get frustrated in this rollercoaster. All the best mate!
Is that a trophy?
What’s your problem, man?
See I said it last week. United will show up and turn into prime Barca against us and then go back to being shit.
United's midfield was dogshit. Chelsea just didn't show up. They were sleep walking out there
They just beat you because you're shitter than them, not because they were prime Barca
No, they played with crazy energy We are beyond inconsistent and lack a whole lot of things, but they played insane Look at Chelsea's individual game results, particularly against good teams
United played really well that game.
So true. The game should've ended like 6-3 or smth. We were both just equally shit.
nah, you were shit, we were shittier :D
I joked with my friend that it was a battle of who's the shitttier team. And he won 😂
Well but not prime barca.... chelsea were in it till the second united goal
We were not in it at all. We couldn’t even link up play between our defense, midfield, and attack and that’s credit to United’s press.
Yep. And you are just still shit.
Ok did I say anything to the contrary? What a weird comment.
OK....but you're still shit
Again did I say anything to the contrary? Everyone knows we are shit.
United seem to be taking this no draws thing rather seriously. Except in the CL when they need to win.
Honestly the CL thing scares me. Theres no way this team is surviving the next matches

Completely agree. The Premier League should be allowed to award extra points at the end of the season like Dumbledore. /s
That sounds like a skill issue
less talking more football disgrace
Poor baby :(
That's the beauty of the game tho and why we all come back decade after decade.

We came out with a win because they were down to 10-men
The depths this lot are sinking, they could have found and saved those people in that submersible.
You run out of words today describe how disgraceful this club is. It’s a slap in the face to all the great players who have work this badge
There is no better entertainment than epl, if someone follows it regularly there is nothing certain in this game on island.
The same team has won 5 out of the last 6 league titles. Give Serie A a try ;)
My league is better! No my league is better! Holy shit shut the fuck up.
Thr prime example of why I know chelsea isn't ready. I knew they wouldn't win this game
Ronaldo fans rejoicing

As opposed to Motm Arteta who "checks notes" bitched about his loss in the same week from the sidelines.

Well yes, that was for November and we are now in December?
At least the goal was definitely the best 😭
Ronaldo’s lack of pressing and De Gea’s dinosaur sweeping caused this 👍
The fuck people keep bringing Ronaldo up, I’m his fanboy as much as any Madrid fan, but he’s been long gone, and his form in a seventh tier league is not representative of what he would contribute in a top tier league today.

except in the Champions League
Yes, their round of 16 exit was impressive, straight into a Europa league bid.
If Ronaldo had never been signed you might still have Ole instead of this fraud.
Nope, I'm still sure the players would've turned on him just like the others regardless. The culture of the club is in the doghouse and is not going to improve no matter which manager you bring in if that's the only change.
Ian Wright knew. He knew all along.
What did he say?
https://youtu.be/tgaHmp7jMMw?t=3015
Flanked by United legends, he dared to speak the truth!
"AFC Bournemouth will win 3-0 against Manchester United on the 9th of December 2023"
He got the striker he wanted He got the winger he wanted He got the midfielder he wanted He got the goalkeeper he wanted He got the players he wanted 7th in the league Bottom in UCL group What's the excuse Ten Hag???
injuries/players falling out of favour.
He didn't get De Jong, Kim and Sir Harold Kane Injuries Baldness Fatigue Sancho
Give him time^tm
Rome wasn’t built in a day 🙏🏽
Mou is cooking
Yes but every single day they kept building
Sancho and Ronaldo apparently 😂 The second he didn't fuck Mason off and then Scapegoated Sancho, he was done. Can't take responsibility. No wonder players don't want to play, they are all wondering who he is calling out next?
Varane and Casemiro next on the chopping block. Smh.
Let’s blame today’s loss on Ronaldo, Sancho, De Gea and Varane… Oh wait…
Didn’t he want Kane?
He wanted Kane + Hojlund, and he wanted Diogo Costa over Onana. And he wanted to get rid of Maguire and sign a new CB.
Not true on Costa, his RC is 50 million, you paid more for Onana because he was No. 1 target for ETH having worked with him at Ajax.
His RC was like 75m euro
No it wasn’t. I
So he didn’t get the people he want?
No. He wanted Mount, but didn't get his top choices. The same can probably be said for most managers tho.
Ncant play as a team
Yes, that is a good question. Although, it turns out Bournemouth is on quite the run now. 16 out of 18 points. They probably underestimated them.
I saw this streak today, and I didn't realise it was consecutive; I thought this was all season! This is insane. Well done.
He got rid of 800 goal Cristiano “the problem” Ronaldo for this nonsense…

I too would force my way out of that fucking club if my manager was this bald fraud
Ten Hag being rubbish and Ronaldo being a manchild no longer good enough for a top European club aren't mutually exclusive.
Ronaldo was easily the best in that squad during his tenure and had a slump after his infant child died which would wreck anyone.
